Anil Sunkara About Direct OTT Release Of His Next Film

Tollywood producer Anil Sunkara established his production banner AK Entertainments with Bindaas in 2010. Later he joined hands with his friends Ram Achanta and Gopi Achanta and started producing films under 14Reels banner simultaneously. He has nearly produced 28 films.

This year he scored a blockbuster success with Mahesh Babu’s Sarileru Neekevvaru. He is currently producing a film Bangaru Bullodu which stars Allari Naresh this is the 4th film in their combination. Anil Sunkara even directed a 3D film with Allri Naresh titled Action 3D. Rumors are surfing on social media that this film will be directly released on the OTT Platform by skipping Theatrical release. But Producer Anil Sunkara clarifies that they have no plans of releasing the film on the OTT platform directly as of now. This film is being directed by P.Giri and Pooja Jahaveri will be seen as lead actress opposite Allari Naresh. Recently on the occasion of Allari Naresh’s birthday the team has released the teaser of Bangaru Bullodu.

Krack is being made with high voltage commercial elements and this script is based on a few real incidents. While SS Thaman is composing tunes this film is being produced under Saraswati Films Division banner.

Baahubali Writer Confirms His Next With Super Star

K V Vijayendra Prasad is a senior screenplay writer who penned industry hits like Magadheera and Bahubali series. Not only for Telugu films, but he also worked for a Tamil Blockbuster Mersal and some other Kannada movies.

Coming to Bollywood, he has written a story for Salman Khan’s masterpiece, Bajrangi Bhaijaan and he was also a part of Manikarnika’s script. Mr.Perect Aamir Khan has been planning a film series on Mahabharath. Recently in an interview, Vijayendra Prasad said that he had spoken with Aamir Khan about the script of Mahabharath and he will soon begin the script work. He also mentioned it would be very premature to discuss further details of this script. He also shared that he has a great passion for writing and with that passion, he has written some scripts and he didn’t want to reveal any other details. Vijayendra Prasad mentioned that he will be definitely giving his script for Aamir Khan’s upcoming movie, but we need to wait for wether it will Mahabharath story or any other story which will go on sets next year.

Vakeel Saab Director Made These Changes During Lockdown

As we already know that Power Star is making his Tollywood re-entry with Vakeel Saab, the Telugu remake of a Bollywood movie Pink. Vakeel Saab completed some part of it shooting and due to COVID-19 the film shoot has been paused.
As the filmmakers got a long break over 3 months, the director and the producer have made a few changes in the script. They also planned to finish the shooting well in advance. These changes include the shortening of Shruthi Hassan’s role duration by more than half of the previous one. In the original film Pink, there is no such role but the filmmaker created this role according to the Telugu audience taste as a commercial element. The shooting will resume after the lockdown and the movie makers are planning to release it in the second week of August. Pawan Kalyan also signed another two projects after Vakeel Saab. #PSPK27 under A.M.Ratnams production directed by Krish Jagarlamudi and #PSPK28 in the banner of Mythri Movie Makers directed by Harish Shankar.

Pawan Kalyan will be seen in a title role in this film which was originally played by Amitabh in Pink. This film is being produced by Dil Raju and Boney Kapoor while S.S.Thaman is composing music, which will be the first album for Power Star. The other main cast includes Anjali, Nivetha Thomas, Ananya Nagalla, and PrakashRaj. Naresh and Anasuya will be seen in supporting roles. P.S.Vinod is working as a cinematographer and Prawin Pudi as an editor.

Corona Virus outbreak which is originated from China in November has has recorded its first positive case in India in the month of February. It started spreading in a short span and the Government of India has imposed a countrywide lockdown from March 22nd.

This lockdown has been extended till 18th May and exceptions have been given for few Industries. State Governments given rights to permit according to the situations in respective States. Telangana Government has given permissions for the film & TV shoot to resume with a set of guidelines and producers started planning according to that. Today the first Tollywood film that went on sets is Ravi Babu’s Crrush which is being produced under Flying Frogs Production. This film is being directed by Ravi Babu himself which is a youthful entertainer. Recently the team has released the poster with tag line Unlock 1.0 Exit Safe. Today Ravi Babu officially posted a video from the sets of Crrush. While Vaiddhy is composing the music, N Sudhakar Reddy is the cinematographer and Marthand K. Venkatesh is the editor.

Keerthy Suresh’s upcoming feature film is Penguin which will be directly releasing on Amazon Prime Video. Initially, there is no much buzz on this project. After the teaser that released a few days back, it generated good buzz among the audience. On June 11th the team of Penguin has released its official trailer and recorded a huge number of views on YouTube. This trailer has got 8.4 Million views in just 24hrs and stands at Top3 by beating Mahesh Babu’s Maharshi which recoded 7.3Million views. The first and second Top Trailers are Baahubali2 and Saaho with 21.8 Million and 12 3Million respectively. Penguin will be streaming on Prime Video from 19th June in Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam. This mystery thriller is directed by Eshavar Karthic and Produced by Karthik Subbaraju.

Grayhound is a Hollywood movie starring Tom Hanks in the lead role of a captain of a US Navy destroyer. It’s going to be the first Apple TV’s Original. This film’s script was written by Hanks himself based on C.S.Forester’s novel The Good Shepherd and directed by Aaron Schneider. It’s a World War II sea battle drama and the story revolves around the captain’s mission of protecting 37-ship convoy carrying troops and suppliers over a treacherous, German U-boat-infested stretch of the Atlantic.

Greyhound was produced by Sony Pictures and was initially planned to be a theatrical release but seems not possible with the current situations prevailing. So, wisely Sony went for auctioning it directly for a digital release. Surprisingly, Apple TV+ bagged the digital rights of Greyhound for a whopping price of $70 million by surpassing major OTT platforms like Netflix and Prime Video.

A couple of days ago, Apple TV released the Trailer of Greyhound which looked very promising. The trailer got a good response from the audience. It’s going to be premiered on July 10th on Apply TV. Apply TV made a partnership with Tom Hanks for World War II series titled Masters of the Air. Apple TV+ service is available to the viewers at a monthly price of $4.99.

Suriya, a Tamil star hero who is also popular in Telugu with his dubbing films like Ghazni, Surya S/O Krishnan, and Singam Series. Recently, Suriya has finished Aakaasam Nee Haddhu Ra, a dubber version of Soorarai Pottru. It was directed by a talented lady director Sudha Kongara who earlier directed a sports-drama like Guru. This movie completed its censor with a clean U certificate and ready to hit the screens. Actually, it was scheduled to release on 9th April but could not see its release due to COVID-19. Later many OTT platforms approached the filmmakers for direct digital release but Suriya and team strongly believe that this film will be a treat for movie lovers so they wanted to release it on big screens first and simply rejected their offer. However, it will have a digital release after its theatrical release.

Suriya will be seen as a pilot in Aakasham Nee Haddhura and is based on the life of G.R.Gopinath, a founder of Air Deccan. This film also features Aparna Balamurali, Jackie Shroff, Urvashi, Mohan Babu, and Sampath Raj in other roles. It was produced by Suriya and Guneet Monga under 2D Entertainments and Sikhya Entertainments banners while G.V. Prakash has composed tunes. Niketh Bommireddy worked as a cinematographer and Satish Suriya as an editor.
