Ponniyin Selvan 2, the long-awaited second installment of Mani Ratnam’s Magnum opus, is all set to be released Worldwide in 20 days. The film’s trailer was released recently at a grand trailer launch event in Chennai.
The film comprises a huge star cast that includes Vikram, Karthi, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Trisha, and Jayam Ravi. Ashwin Kakumanu, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Sobhita Dhulipala, Sarath Kumar, Prabhu, Vikram Prabhu, Jayaram, Prakash Raj, Parthiban, Lal, and Mohan Raman are also part of the cast.
Now, according to the latest reports, it is being said that Ponniyin Selvan has completed its censor formalities and the run time of the film is 2 hours 37 mins and 33 seconds. The first half’s run time is 1 hour 19 minutes and the second half’s run time is 1 hour 18 minutes. The report from the censor board is also reported to be positive.
The makers recently shared a new poster of Trisha’s Kundavai character on Wednesday. The poster presents a Trisha adorned with jewels, dressed in a golden ensemble while she watches intensely at the camera. The caption on the poster read: “Elegance meets power. Get ready to meet our Kundavai in PS 2.
The makers also announced that a glimpse of Veera Raja Veera will be released today evening 6 PM. Produced by Madras Talkies in association with Lyca Productions, Ponniyin Selvan 2 is all set to be released on April 28 worldwide.
The music of the film is scored by AR Rahman, and the cinematography has been handled by Ravi Varman, editing by Sreekar Prasad, production design by Thotta Tharani, dialogues by Jeyamohan, costumes by Eka Lakhani, make-up by Vikram Gaikwad, and choreography by Brinda.
