Kalki 2: Nag Ashwin reveals several details

The week post the release of Kalki 2898 AD has been an exciting one with producer Aswini Dutt and director Nag Ashwin revealing several interesting details in an interview about the project and Kalki 2. Nag Ashwin has revealed that many new characters will join the Kalki universe, and the audience will see a surprise fourth world.

“We shot about 25 / 30 days, but there’s a lot of action still left. It’s almost like a whole new production that’s going to start,” he revealed. The director further stated that Every loose end or thread that was left hanging would be wrapped up in Kalki 2.

“Obviously the most important thing in Kalki 2 will be the face-off between Supreme Yaskin (Kamal Hassan) who can now wield the Gandiva, which is thought to be the most powerful weapon versus Karna (Prabhas), and Ashwatthama (Amitabh Bachchan) who are the most fearsome warriors,” he revealed.

Nag Ashwin also spoke about the much hyped Krishna role and said that their idea is to depict the character in a silhouette with a dark complexion. He added that the character’s face would not be revealed.

A day ago, Producer and owner of Vyjayanthi Movies, Aswini Dutt made a shocking statement regarding a plan. He said that the Deputy CM of AP cum Actor Pawan Kalyan had discussed the plan of increasing the ticket prices to a minimum of 1000 rupees for the future films. This has really shocked everyone. Everyone felt that this was way too much and even trolled both Pawan Kalyan and Aswini Dutt for such ill plan. Now, Aswini Dutt has clarified about this Massive ticket hike plan.

The Producer released an image on his official X/Twitter account where he said the rumours regarding the high ticket price were not needed. He said they just dicussed to have a one-time solution for hikes in ticket prices for films. He also opined that this hike would be decided by the production level and budget of the respective films. The veteran producer also said that Pawan Kalyan had assured them of doing justice.

Aswini Dutt has also been served notices by High Court regarding the time lapse of ticket hike price for his latest film, Kalki 2898 AD. He didn’t respond to this yet interestingly. Netizens trolled him and Pawan Kalyan badly for chalking out this plan of massive ticket prices for films. So, he must have come forward to suppress this issue.

The girl named Lavanya has lodged a complaint against Raj Tarun in Hyderabad for cheating her. The case has attracted many people’s attention now as Raj Tarun holds a soft outlook.

According to Lavanya in her complaint, Raj Tarun had promised her to marry. They both have been in a relationship for 11 years. She even alleges that they had married each other and submitted some photos relating to that before the police. She accused him of cheating her after his relationship with an actress. The girl also fears of being murdered if she doesn’t leave Raj Tarun.

This has really shocked everyone as Raj Tarun never involved himself in such rumours. It needs to be seen how he responds to this. Indian 2/Bharateeyudu 2 censor details are out officially

Indian 2 starring Kamal Haasan and directed by Maverick Director, Shankar is all set for release on July 12th worldwide. The team is busy promoting the film on various platforms. All the formalities of the film are also completed and the film’s censor has been done. Indian 2 also releasing as Bharateeyudu 2 in Telugu has been awarded a U/A certificate by the censor board officially.

Indian 2 runtime is also locked at 180.04 minutes i.e., exactly 3 hours. There are no explicit content related scenes as per the censor details. The objections raised by the censor board in the film are for some cuss words. Rest everything is fine. The team of Indian 2 looks very confident about the film and are hoping to start Indian 3 soon. Shankar too has been saying the same. Kamal Haasan too expressed the fact that he was more interested for Indian 3 than Indian 2.

The film has all chances of becoming a blockbuster if it hits the right chords. The songs composed by Anirudh Ravichander too have impressed the fans. But the released trailer was a bit disappointment. The team may release another release trailer ahead of the release. Let’s hope the best to happen.

Kalki 2898 AD proves Salaar underperformance

Kalki 2898 AD is performing extraordinarily at the box office. The film has already grossed 600 crores worldwide in the first week. It is also doing great at the overseas market. The performance of Kalki 2898 AD marks the underperformance of Prabhas’ previous outing, Salaar directed by Prashant Neel. Salaar had an initial buzz exceeding limits thanks to the popularity of Neel for his KGF Series. Salaar also enjoyed a holiday season advantage.

Salaar had grossed in the range of 620 crores worldwide in full run. But the trade analysts felt this was not uptp the mark. Now, Kalki 2898 AD looks to have performed stronger than Salaar. Kalki 2898 AD as said has already touched the 625 crore mark in the first week itself. Its Telugu version too has crossed 200 crore share mark and now stands at 220 crores. Kalki 2898 AD outperformed Salaar in both Telugu and other versions. Kalki 2898 AD first week collections are also higher than Salaar lifetime run.

Kalki 2898 AD is also expected to join the 1000 crore club in its full run. Salaar’s final run will not be even 2/3rd of what Kalki 2898 AD made then. We have to see how Salaar 2 would perform.

Kamal Haasan’s Indian 2 has been on sets for many years and due to some last-minute changes, it was divided into two parts -Indian 2 and Indian 3. The film is being made on a huge budget. But somehow the promotional content failed to create a buzz which resulted in poor business for the film.

The business offers for the films are quite discouraging, to say the least hence Lyca Productions and Red Giant Movies is releasing on its own through multiple distributors by taking advances. The advances are also very minimal compared to the budget.

Theatrically, Indian 2 should collect at least 500 Cr gross and need to post good numbers in all languages so that Indian 3 can get a good buzz and bring some good news to the producers. If Indian 2 fails to work then it will be a massive failure for the producers as a massive amount is riding on Indian 2 and Indian 3.

Directed by Shankar, Indian 2 will be released in Telugu as Bharateeyudu 2 and in Hindi as Hindustani 2. The film also stars Siddharth, Kajal Agarwal, Priya Bhavani Shankar, and Rakul Preet Singh. and Nedumudi Venu in key roles. Lyca Productions and Red Giant Movies are jointly producing this pan-India biggie with Anirudh composing the music.

Kalki 2898 AD is on a record spree at the box office. The film broke many records and has also entered the 500 crore mark in the first weekend. Kalki 2898 AD has also managed to gross more than 600 crores worldwide in the first week. Now, one more record of the film feels very interesting. Kalki 2898 AD has shattered records in Actor Mahesh Babu’s AMB Cinemas theatre in Hyderabad.

Mahesh Babu has a multiplex in Hyderabad in collaboration with Asian Cinemas known as AMB Cinemas. A Prabhas’ film is now breaking records there which is very interesting. The film has claimed record Day 1 and first weekend and first week gross in the theatre. It is also the fastest 1 cr and 2 cr grosser played in the theatre.

Kalki 2898 AD has managed to gross 2.11 crores with 50520 admits for 1st week which is all time record at AMB cinemas. The film may even establish more records there in the coming days. On the other hand, Kalki 2898 AD is racing towards the reputed 1000 crores gross mark worldwide. If the film continues the same momentum for some more days, it will well breach the mark. Kalki 2898 AD will also become Prabhas’ highest grosser after Baahubali series then.

High court notices to Kalki 2898 AD producer Aswini Dutt

Kalki 2898 AD produced by Vyjayanthi Movies Banner is rocking the box office. The film achieved a unanimous positive talk after its release and grossed more than 500 crores worldwide in the first weekend. The film is also racing towards the 1000 crore gross mark. Now a shocking incident happened with High Court sending notices to Kalki 2898 AD producer, Aswini Dutt.

Producer Aswini Dutt requested both the Telugu States governments for ticket hike prices to stay for two weeks. He even got permission for the same request as well. A petition was filed in High Court seeking the legality of such continuous hike in ticket prices for two weeks. Now, the High Court has sent notices to the producer, Aswini Dutt regading the same. Popular Telugu News Channel, NTV reported about the issue as well.

It needs to be seen how Aswini Dutt responds to the case. On the other hand, as said, the film is racing ahead towards the 1000 crore mark gross worldwide. The Telugu version alone has contibuted 200 crores from this. The team is very much happy about this success and they hope that the film may even breach 1000 crore mark in its full run.
