Kushi 1st day Worldwide collections report – Decent

The Vijay Deverakonda and Samantha starrer Kushi released today, and the audience’s talk and reviews came quite in favor of the film. Coming to the box office performance, the film had average openings in the Telugu states during the morning shows, but it picked up the momentum with the evening shows. On the whole, Kushi film’s 1st day worldwide collections are decent.

Kushi opened extraordinarily well in Overseas with around $1.1 Million and the film also had a good opening in Nizam with a 5.1Cr share. However, in Andhra, the film performed just in okay range and in Ceeded area, the numbers were poor. In Andhra Pradesh, the movie has collected around 4.8Cr share and the Total Telugu states opening will be in the range of 10Cr.

Overall, the film, Kushi’s 1St day worldwide Telugu version’s share will be in the range of 15Cr which includes GST. Overall, it can be said as a decent opening, and we will need to wait and see how the film will perform over the weekend.

Nani’s Dasara which was released in March this year created a record for the opening for tier 2 heroes. The film went on to become a good blockbuster at the box office by collecting over 61 Crores share worldwide. Since the release of Dasara, no film of any other tier 2 hero was able to break the record.

Nani’s superb performance in Dasara was well-supported with the natural portrayal of Keerthy Suresh and Deekshit Shetty. The director of the film, Srikanth Odela’s natural depiction of rural Telangana and well-crafted emotional as well as action sequences, became the real highlights of the movie.

With Dasara Nani put a massive number of 19.3Cr share worldwide and 13.28Cr opening in the Telugu states which is an all-time record for tier 2 films. Vijay Devarakonda’s Kushi which has been released today was expected to break this record, but it does not even come closer to the numbers of Dasara. Now the next chance to create the opening record for Ram Pothineni with Skanda which did massive business.

A big disappointment for Salaar USA buyer

The news of Prabhas’s Pan Indian actioner Salaar getting postponed is a big disappointment not only for the fans but also for the trade circles. Especially the USA buyer who was on a high with the superb advance bookings of the film is severely disappointed now as all the hype for the film will be lost with the postponement.

The USA distributor had planned a never before release for an Indian cinema for Salaar. He put massive efforts and fix an extraordinary planning for a record release and the bookings were also started on a terrific note, but with this postponement, all his hard work gone wasted.

Since the announcement of this film, Salaar was expected to score huge at the box office. SS Rajamouli’s action epic RRR starring Ram Charan and NTR had collected 3.2M$ in the USA and 270K$ in Canada and a total 3.47M$ from premiers in North America. Jailer is dominating the box office and has made more than 600 crores worldwide (including net domestic box office of 320 crore). The film is in its 3rd week and has already established several records in multiple territories.

Rajinikanth is revered and celebrated by his followers all over the world and looks like the producer of the film, Sun Pictures CEO Kalanithi Maran is also one of the big admirers of Rajini. The ace producer gifted Rajinikanth a high-end BMW X7 along with a share of the film’s profits.
