Both the lead stars and director Shiva Nirvana had put hopes on this romantic drama to pull them out of their slump. Thanks to positive response, the film had a relatively decent openings on day 1. Kushi was off to a very slow start in Telugu states and picked the momentum and witnessed a big jump in the evening and night shows in A Centers. Kushi also has Murali Sharma, Jayaram, Sachin Khedekar, Saranya Pradeep, and Vennela Kishore in crucial roles. Kushi is a pan-India release with it hitting the screens in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Malayalam, and Kannada languages.
