Makers are using Pan India term solely for non-theatrical business purposes

0

Films like Baahubali 2, KGF2, RRR, Kantara, and Pushpa have been massive hits on the pan-India level. While these films got the actors immense stardom across the country, they have put the lead Heros under enormous pressure. The heroes now have a massive responsibility of keeping up the momentum and making the right choice for the next project.

The trend of pan-India is not just limited to tier-1 heroes. We have seen heroes like Nani, Nikhil, Vijay Deverakonda, and Ram among others giving a shot at pan-India films. While pan-India films are a great idea to reach a wider audience, there’s something uncanny happening with several of these films of late.

As we can see, recently each and every film unit is claiming that their project is a pan-India film. But when it comes to release, the makers are not even doing a promotion in other languages and not even worrying about theatrical business. Looks like for most of the films the makers are now using pan-India term just to close the digital rights and satellite rights for a higher price.

Rajinikanth made the best decision by not signing Chandramukhi 2

0

When the thought of Chandramukhi 2 was conceived, director P Vasu had only Rajinikanth in mind. In fact, the discussion of casting Rajinikanth in the Chandramukhi sequel happened multiple times. However, Rajinikanth continuously refused to be a part of the sequel and had no hesitation in turning it down.

This was when Raghava Lawrence was brought on board to replace the mighty Superstar in this sequel. Even though Lawrence is a specialist in doing horror comedy films, everyone had their doubts right when the project was announced. These concerns over the project’s viability became stronger during promotions and teasers. And now after the release the film is heading towards losses in Telugu and performing average in Tamil.

The audience felt it was just unnecessary to make a Chandramukhi sequel and this film is nowhere near to 1st part. The team has spoiled the Chandramukhi brand and Rajini fans are breathing a sigh of relief at their star refusing this film. Had Rajinikanth worked on this film, then the entire momentum and high of the blockbuster Jailer would have been smashed and the veteran star would have faced heavy criticism.
