Vikram’s Dhruva Natchathiram Censor Report and Runtime details

The long-awaited ‘Dhruva Natchathiram’ directed by Gautham Menon, which features Chiyaan Vikram as the lead, is now set to hit the screens. The Censor Board has approved the film with a U/A certificate, and the makers have announced the release date a few days ago.

Dhruva Natchathiram is a spy thriller that features Chiyaan Vikram as a secret agent, John. Although there has been speculation that the film will be released during Diwali, the makers recently announced that it will be released on November 24, 2023. 

The film also completed the Censor formalities recently, and it has received a U/A Certificate and the runtime is 2 hrs 25 mins and 12 secs. This runtime is a perfect for an action thriller and as said above, the film will be released on November 24th in theaters.

Dhruva Natchathiram also stars Ritu Varma, Simran, Aishwarya Rajesh, Radhika, Jailer Vinayakan and Arjun Das in pivotal roles. Vikram is playing the role of an Indian spy and the shooting of the film started in 2016. It was supposed to be released in 2017, but for some reason, it got delayed for years. Vikram’s fans have been waiting for seven years for the film, Gautam Menon gave hints about Dhruva Natchathiram earlier this year. Everyone is eagerly waiting to see the film in theaters.

Government addresses corruption issue in Mumbai CBFC raised by Vishal

Information and Broadcasting Ministry reacted swiftly to Tamil actor Vishal’s allegations of corruption at the film CBFC, Mumbai by sending a top official from the Ministry to Mumbai “to conduct an inquiry. This response comes less than 24 hours after Vishal claimed he paid 6.5 lakhs to the censor board to certify the Hindi version of his latest film, “Mark Antony,” which was released last week in north Indian states.

The ministry called the charge “extremely unfortunate”, professed “zero tolerance” for corruption, and asked others who may have been harassed to provide details. “The government has zero tolerance for corruption and strictest action will be taken against anyone involved. A senior officer… has been deputed to Mumbai to conduct an inquiry today itself,” the post on X said.

Vishal on Thursday uploaded a video on social media addressed to Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He claimed he sent ₹ 3 lakh to the Tamilnad Mercantile Bank account of M Rajan and ₹ 3.5 lakh to a Kotak Mahendra Bank account belonging to Jeeja Ramdas in order to get Mark Antony certified by CBFC. Both accounts are in Mumbai.

Skanda becomes the number one choice for the audience this weekend

Boyapati Sreenu and Ram Pothineni’s mass action entertainer Skanda was released yesterday and though the film has got a bit of mixed talk, the mass audiences seemed to have liked the energetic Hero Ram’s mass avatar and that is why the film has registered the career biggest openings in his career at the box office. The film now becomes the number one choice for the audience this weekend.

If we take the criteria of budget and even combination wise, definitely Skanda was the first option for audience undoubtedly and after the release now it is turning to be no 1 option as it has better word of mouth compared to Chandramukhi 2 and Peddha Kapu 1. So the trade is expecting the film to jump from this evening, night shows and to continue the same momentum for the long weekend as there is an advantage of extended weekend with Gandhi Jayanti holiday on Monday.

The movie’s music was composed by S Thaman. Srinivasaa Chitturi produced Skanda under the banner of Srinivasaa Silver Screen, making it the most expensive movie for Ram. The movie features Sree Leela as the female lead, and Saiee Manjrekar will play a crucial role. The movie presented by ZEE Studios South and Pavan Kumar features Santosh Detake as the cinematographer. Editing is handled by Tammiraju.

Skanda has had a Pan India release on September 28th in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi languages.

Lawrence’s Chandramukhi 2 1st day box office collections

P. Vasu’s Chandramukhi 2′ starring Raghava Lawrence and Kangana Ranaut in lead roles released yesterday amidst mixed reports and some enthusiasm from the audience for the Tamil version. Being a sequel helped the film do better than expected.

The film opened with okayish numbers in Telugu states and collected around Rs 1.75Cr share in Telugu states. Ceeded contributed around Rs 30L while Nizam brought Rs 60L and Andhra collections stood at Rs 85L approx.

It was an okay opening as this weekend is a long one and theatricals are less than Rs 10Cr in Telugu states. However, Chandramukhi 2 witnessed a big drop today as the WOM is not as good as the makers expected. The movie needs a big jump over the weekend to be a safe venture. In Tamil Nadu, the film opens with very good numbers, and overall the movie has collected more than 10Cr gross in India.

Kangana Ranaut plays the role of a dancer in the king’s court, who is known for her beauty and dance skills while Raghava Lawrence portrays King Vettaiyan Raja. Helmed by P Vasu,’ Chandramukhi 2′ is the sequel to the blockbuster hit Tamil horror comedy film ‘Chandramukhi’ which starred Rajinikanth and Jyothika in the lead roles. It is produced by Lyca Productions and Subaskaran.

Dr. Shiva Rajkumar, the Kannada superstar, has expressed his regret for a disturbing incident that happened on Thursday, 28 September involving Tamil actor-producer Siddharth. Actor Siddharth visited Bengaluru to promote his latest film Chikku, a Kannada dubbed version of the Tamil movie Chithha. Siddharth was addressing journalists at a public interaction when a group of pro-Kannada activists barged in.

The promotions were stopped by activists who created a ruckus, resulting in the Tamil actor being forced to leave the venue abruptly. However, he urged the Karnataka audience to watch and support his work.

Dr Shiva Rajkumar, who was addressing the agitation by the Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce (KFCC) to support the Karnataka bandh over the Cauvery River water this afternoon, expressed profound sadness for the incident involving Siddharth.

“We should never hurt the feelings of others in any manner. On behalf of the Kannada film industry, we are very sorry, Siddharth. I do not know who were those who did that, but we are deeply pained by it. This will never be repeated,” the Kannada superstar tendered an apology.

Shiva Rajkumar mentioned that people in Karnataka are good at heart, and they always helped people from other languages in the state by watching films in all languages.

“Kannada people have earned great respect and admiration across the globe. There is no other place like Karnataka where all kinds of people, languages, and cultures exist with mutual respect. We should protect the respect which we have earned globally,” Shivanna added.

Already Hombale Films had to face fan backlash due to the film’s postponement and dead silence on it. And now this poster has come as a bittersweet experience with the release date giving happiness but the design getting criticism.

The Bollywood Badshah Shah Rukh Khan has achieved a massive success with his latest action entertainer, Jawan. After creating records for the day 1 and weekend at the box office, the film has now emerged as all time no 1 in film Bollywood at the box office. This is a sensational feat from Shah Rukh Khan as he scores the second all-time highest grosser in a single year.

In January, Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan was released and became the biggest hit. In August, Sunny Deol’s Gadar 2 was released, and yesterday it broke Pathaan’s records, but it was able to hold the record just for a few hours as Jawan breaks Gadar 2 now.

Jawan, made as an action entertainer, is written and directed by Atlee. Shah Rukh Khan plays the dual role of Vikram Rathore and his son Azad in this story, which highlights social and political issues along with entertainment. Story: Peddha Kapu (Virat Karrna) fights against oppression by two leaders in the village, Satya Rangayya (Rao Ramesh) and Bhaiyanna (Aadukalam Naren), in a fictional village near Rajahmundry in the 1980s. After NT Ramarao started a political party in 1982, there comes a significant change in the politics of the village. The story revolves around how Peddha Kapu rises to the position of a leader by taking on the mighty Satya Rangayya and Bhaiyanna. What is Akkamma (Anasuya) and how is she connected with this politics is another angle in the film. 

Performances: Debutante Virat Karna has made a decent performance in his debut. Rao Ramesh was well suited for the evil and selfish politician. Pragati Srivastava does not have much scope to perform. Anasuya as Akkamma had a substantial role. However, her performance and character did not turn out as expected because of mishandling. Rajeev Kanakala, Naga Babu Eeshwari Rao and others were apt. As a villain, Srikanth Addala was good.

Verdict:

Although Pedda Kapu is ambitious and aims to be a strong Political Drama, it fails to achieve the goal. There are a few scenes like interval episode and a few dialogues which work towards the intention of director, but the lack of proper emotions, incoherent narrative and excessive violence work against it.

Will Chiranjeevi sacrifice the Sankranthi date for Ram Charan?

It is widely known that the previous film of Megastar Chiranjeevi, Bhola Shankar was the biggest disaster at the box office. So after such debacle, Chiranjeevi wants to deliver a massive success with his next film and this is the reason he canceled the project with Kalyan Krishna, and now he is doing a big film with Bimbisara director Mallidi Vashishta.

The film is a high-budget film with a fantasy backdrop and the shoot is expected to start from next year beginning. The team is currently busy in pre-production and the buzz is Chiranjeevi wants this film to be released on Sankranthi 2025 at any cost because Sankranthi is a blockbuster month for Chiranjeevi, and after his comeback he scored big blockbusters like Khaidi No 150 and Waltair Veerayya that were released for Sankranthi.

But now there is said to be a chance that Ram Charan’s Game Changer, which is going through a lot of delay in its filming, might get postponed to 2025 Sankranthi. So, now the question is: Will Chiru give away the Sankranthi date to Ram Charan if Game Changer really happens to be released during the same season?

While Game Changer has had many rumored dates even before, but no matter at what time the work of the film finishes, it will definitely eye a big release date only. So we must wait and see whether Chiranjeevi sacrifice the Sankranthi date for Ram Charan or not.
