Naa Saami Ranga in final stages of shooting — Sankranthi release

Naa Saami Ranga the upcoming film of Nagarjuna is in the final stages of shooting and all set for a Sankranthi release. A new video was released recently introducing actress Ashika Ranganath As ‘Varalakshmi’ from King Nagarjuna Akkineni, Vijay Binni, Srinivasa Chitturi, Srinivasaa Silver Screen’s Naa Saami Ranga.

King Nagarjuna Akkineni who introduced many talented directors in his decades-long career has given a chance to another first-timer Vijay Binny with his upcoming film Naa Saami Ranga. The movie stars Ashika Ranganath playing the female lead and today the makers came up with the first look of the actress.

Ashika Ranganath is introduced as ‘Varalakshmi’ through the poster, and she oozes charm in traditional wear with jewelry. They have also released a glimpse where the actress is seen sitting in front of a mirror and imitating Nagarjuna who is observing her from outside while smoking a beedi. They are seen admiring each other from a distance. Oscar-award-winning composer MM Keeravani brings more enchantment with his spellbinding background score.

Nagarjuna looked massy, whereas Ashika Ranganath aced Acha Telugu Ammayi look in half saree. Vijay Binny who is a choreographer, has brought in the right expressions from Ashika. The makers have also announced to unveil the film’s first single soon. Chandra Bose penned the lyrics.

The album from this chart buster combination of Nagarjuna, Keeravani, and Chandra Bose will be one of the most-awaited ones.

Billed to be a mass action entertainer, passionate producer Srinivasa Chitturi of Tollywood’s leading production house Srinivasaa Silver Screen is making the movie on a grand scale with a massive budget. Pavan Kumar presents the movie. The shoot of the movie is presently taking place in Hyderabad. The production works neared the final stages.

The blockbuster writer Prasanna Kumar Bezawada provided the story and dialogues for the film.

Naa Saami Ranga will have its theatrical release on Sankranti, in 2024.

The planned event occurred in Goa, and celebrities from all four South Indian industries were invited. However, some unforeseen mishandling happened in the event, and Suresh Kondeti apologized to the Tamil and Kannada industry people.

There was a mishap regarding the treatment of Kannada Cine personalities and even their hotel allotments, which led to considerable controversy. Kannada industry people and fans were hurt by this incident and slammed Suresh on Social media.

Many believed Suresh Kondeti was close to the Mega family, but Allu Aravind stood up to the media and denied the false information. He even said it was Suresh Kondeti’s event, and the Telugu film industry has no connection.

Suresh Kondeti took to Twitter and explained in Telugu, which translates to, “Hello everyone .. last 21 yrs. As I am giving the Santosham Awards, it is completely my personal choice. The Telugu industry has nothing to do with this. I have been giving awards very hard and grandly every year for 21 years alone… All industry people are equal to me. That’s why I am giving awards to 4 industry people together.”

He added, “Due to a communication gap in the Goa event, the 1200 people who came had difficulty arranging rooms for the celebrities. I don’t mean to trouble Kannada and Tamil people. It is common for some mistakes to happen in such a big event. It is not intentional. Please understand. I sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused by the event. Some people want to throw mud on me. Wishing you to understand with a big heart, forever your Suresh Kondeti.”

Revanth Reddy is the new Chief Minister of Telangana, and the Tollywood Producers will meet Revanth Reddy to convey their wishes to him.

Till last year, Rs 300Cr nett in India was considered a blockbuster revenue for Bollywood films. No Bollywood films had collected more than Rs 400Cr nett. But in 2023, everything changed. Already 3 films – Pathaan, Jawan, and Gadar 2 have crossed Rs 500Cr nett. Now Animal is also expected to join this club and Shahrukh Khan’s Dunki is also a strong contender to join this club. Bollywood’s graph has gone up this year India and as well as overseas.

In Kollywood, the big Heros market used to be around Rs 300Cr – 400Cr, and no Vijay film or Rajini film [Excluding 2Point0] managed to cross 350Cr mark. But this year alone, Jailer collected 625 Cr and Leo collected 594 Cr which is a massive spike in their market. This has set a benchmark that other top Kollywood heroes would look to emulate.

Unfortunately, the same can’t be said about the Telugu film industry. The Tollywood market is still on the same position and there is no growth in any territory. Telugu films are still struggling to cross Rs 300Cr mark. Excluding Rajamouli films, no other film has crossed the 300Cr mark in Telugu markets.
