Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal is set to release later this week and it has managed to create a solid hype thanks to the intense trailer and soulful music. Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, Animal promises to be high on action, emotion, and raw drama. While the expectations on the movie are huge, the film’s runtime has raised quite a lot of eyebrows. Animal’s theatrical version will be 3 hours 21 minutes and the OTT version is said to be even longer.
Speaking about the lengthy runtime of the film, Ranbir Kapoor said, “The story of Animal requires this amount of time to reach the audience, we saw the first cut that was 3hrs & 49 mins & we were entertained, dont be panicked by the length & just come experience cinema at its best.”
Initially, the team planned to release the same version in theatres with two intervals as they felt the story needed that runtime and it was very engaging. However, this was a risky move and distributors wanted to play it safe so the makers edited a few scenes and made the final runtime of 3 hours and 21 minutes for the theatrical version.
The OTT version will likely feature this extended runtime film the fans and audience also want to see the full film. There will be no runtime issues with the runtime on OTT. Animal stars Rashmika Mandanna, Anil Kapoor, and Bobby Deol among others. The film has created a massive buzz in Telugu and Tamil as well and openings are expected to be massive.
