Hanuman is the first movie in Prashant Varma Cinematic Universe (PVCU). In a recent interview, director Prasanth Varma revealed that there will be 12 films in the PVCU.

Teja Sajja played the role of a young man who acquires supernatural powers due to Lord Hanuman in the film Hanuman. The movie is slated to be released on January 12, 2024, on the occasion of Sankranthi. Apart from Telugu, the film will also be released in Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, English, Spanish, Korean, Japanese and Chinese.

Devil’s theatricals are valued at 20Cr and from today the movie is likely to struggle to put good numbers and breakeven seems impossible.

Malvika Nair, Ajay, Satya, Edward Sonnenblick, Elnaaz Norouzi, Srikanth Iyengar, and Seetha are all key cast members in Devil. The music for this movie was composed by Harshavardhan Rameshwar. Prime Video acquired the digital rights of this Kalyan Ram starrer. The film was produced and directed by Abhishek Nama.

This Allu Arjun starter was supposed to clash with Ajay Devgn’s Singham Again. But now, the news is that the release of Pushpa 2 has been postponed and Singham Again will have a solo release. An official confirmation is awaited on the same.

Salaar 2nd weekend did not take as much jump as expected in Telugu states but on January 1st it witnessed a massive jump and trended better than expectations and covered the weekend numbers too. Overall it was a decent second-long weekend for the film. The movie’s Telugu version share has crossed 200Cr worldwide. It is now 3rd film to do this after Baahubali2 and RRR. 

Salaar performed exceptionally well in Nizam and overseas. It has a decent run in Ceeded so far and only the Andhra region is a matter of concern for break-even mainly. Normally the numbers are very impressive but considering the movie’s business, the film has underperformed in Andhra.

The new GO is having a serious impact on big business films that needed a big ticket hike and special shows on 1st weekend. Unlike Nizam, where this permission was granted, it’s not happening in AP due to the new GO. Salaar has also underperformed in Karnataka which is quite surprising considering it’s a Prashant Neel film.

Overall, the Telugu version needs a 250Cr share for breakeven and now the recovery is at 82% approx. The film is likely to end up with above-average status in Telugu as there are no other public holidays up next. With Sankranthi coming up and a series of new releases lined up, the theatres will be packed with new releases.

Shah Rukh Khan scored massive blockbusters with Pathaan, Jawan and set new milestones. Jawan ended up as the biggest Indian Grosser of 2023. His third film, Dunki, is now running in theaters.

Also, Ranbir Kapoor scored a massive blockbuster with Animal, Sunny Deol delivered surprise blockbuster with Gadar 2 and put massive numbers. Salman Khan’s Tiger 3 opened with huge numbers, but did not work well after Diwali festival days.

Ranveer singh also tasted success with Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani in 2023. All these stars have put excellent box office numbers in 2023, but in 2024 there are no releases from these stars. Shahrukh Khan, Salman Khan, Aamir Khan, Ranveer Singh , Ranbir Kapoor, Sunny Deol all these stars will not have any release in 2024.

It is the third installment of the super-hit franchise and is all set to hit theaters on the occasion of Independence Day 2024. Singham was released in 2011, starring Kajal Aggarwal and Prakash Raj in lead roles, followed by Singham Returns in 2014. Both projects were declared box office hits.
