Prabhas as a sincere Police Officer in Spirit

Prabhas will appear as a sincere Police Officer in Spirit. Currently, the Pan Indian star is enjoying the success of his action drama, Salaar which was released on December 22nd. It is widely known that Prabhas has been committed to work with director Sandeep Reddy Vanga for a film called Spirit.

Sandeep Reddy Vanga became famous for direction and taking with Arjun Reddy, which is considered to be a groundbreaking film in Tollywood. The director’s new film ‘Animal’ became a massive blockbuster at the box office. Sandeep, who has only directed two films, was given the opportunity to direct PAN India star Prabhas. The movie is titled Spirit. The director revealed in the latest interview that Prabhas will appear as a sincere police officer in the film.

In a recent interview, Sandeep Vanga stated that he will show Prabhas in a never before character. The Dynamic Director informed that the script work for the film is almost completed except for a few final checks. Prabhas fans are delighted, and they are eagerly waiting for the film to start. The biggie will be produced by Bhushan Kumar of T-Series.

Set in the fictional dystopian city-state of Khansaar, ‘Salaar: Part One — Ceasefire’ follows the friendship between Deva (Prabhas), and Varadha Raja Mannar (Prithviraj).

Salaar features a stellar cast, including Shruti Haasan, Prithviraj Sukumaran, Tinnu Anand, Jagapathi Babu, Easwari Rao, and Bobby Simha in key roles. Ravi Basrur has provided the music for Hombale Films’ high-profile pan-Indian film.

The GOAT- Vijay’s de-aging VFX look is disappointing

Thalapathy 68 title has been officially announced as a new year special update. As reported earlier, the movie has been titled The GOAT (Greatest of all time). In this film, Vijay will be playing two characters: a middle-aged and a younger character (18 years old). To showcase both the characters for this look the team is de-aging technology and has spent 6Cr and the team has released two looks.

So far two posters have been released and both these posters feature two looks of Vijay. In both posters, the young Vijay character is not up to mark and poor VFX can be noticed. Many films are completely failing to deliver good CG even though they are spending huge amounts and while the two posters are interesting conceptually, the look of the younger version has not been well received.

The music for The GOAT (Greatest of all time) will be composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja and is aimed for a summer release. The film features a huge star cast including Prashanth, Prabhudheva, Sneha, Laila, Meenakshi Chaudhary, Mohan, Jayaram, Ajmal Ameer and Yogi Babu.

There were big expectations for both films and though they are not performing at the expected level, there appears to be heat between the makers of Salaar and Shahrukh Khan. Hombale Films, the makers of pan-Indian action drama Salaar, have lately announced a box office poster saying ” Khansaar.. Iam Sorry“. They intentionally made a satire using Khansaar World. The Prabhas fans enjoy this and give counters to Shah Rukh Khan fans using the tweet.

This always happens when two biggies compete at the box office. Coming to the numbers, from opening day to the latest poster, the producers of Salaar are constantly exaggerating the box office numbers. They intend to prove part 1 is a big success because they have to make part 2.

According to the tweet of Salaar makers, the film has gathered a worldwide Gross of Rs 625 Crores. But the reality is different.

After Christmas Day, this New Year’s Day was the most fruitful one for movies in Telugu states. After Christmas, Salaar saw some drops and failed to take a big jump. Devil, which was released last Friday also failed to take a decent opening, and the same momentum continued over the weekend. Bubblegum also did not attract minimum audiences and has been a letdown in terms of opening day occupancies.

The New Year’s Day has turned the tide in favour of these films. Today, especially from matinee shows, we witnessed a surge in occupancies. The theaters are flooded with heavy walk-ins. All theatres are registering their best occupancies.

Salaar has witnessed a massive jump today and the numbers and occupancies are way better than yesterday and Saturday. The same is the case with Devil which had its best occupancy today; even better than its opening day and weekend. Bubblegum also registered its best day today. Nani’s Hi Nanna registering good occupancies and housefuls, Even Animals which is nearing the end of its run saw great audience interest and hike in collections.

There is no much growth for the film on the second weekend in India and as well as Overseas. The film just collected 33Cr Net [Day 8 — Day 11] which is very disappointing. The total India Net is 182 Cr, and the Gross is 220Cr.

Overseas Gross is 19M approx, which will take to 158 Cr. Dunki’s total worldwide Gross is 378Cr and now there is no possibility for the film to reach the 250Cr Net club in India and 500Cr Gross worldwide. Financially, there is no pressure for anyone involved with the film as it was made on a less budget and Shah Rukh Khan and Rajkumar Hirani are the producers.

The makers have released Dunki on their own but when we consider the combination then definitely the film has very poorly performed at the box office. Everyone expected SRK will score hat trick 1000Cr+ Grossers but it is now failing to reach even half of 1000Cr.

O about ticket prices after the release of Pawan Kalyan’s Vakeel Saab the situation for Telugu films in Andhra Pradesh has been not the same.

The ticket rates were reduced to normal prices and after the interaction of industry’s bigwigs, a few corrections were made to the ticket rates in Andhra Pradesh just before the release of RRR. Excluding Sankranthi releases, all biggies are turning into loss ventures in Andhra Pradesh, despite positive reviews.

However, after that, the films have continued to bring up losses even with positive word of mouth and reviews. Starting from Pushpa Part 1, RRR , KGF 2, Bheemla Nayak , Sarkaru Vaari Paata , Bhagavath Kesari and the latest Salaar all these films have achieved the breakeven and saw profits in Nizam but in Andhra Pradesh they have ended up as loss ventures.

A Few films have ended up with minor losses, and others have ended up as big loss ventures. If a film gets flop talk, then It will end up as loss venture in all areas, but here the scenario is different as the films are getting profits in Telangana, but they are seeing losses In Andhra Pradesh.

The difference is due to huge difference in ticket prices between Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. After the new GO in AP, midnight shows and special shows are stopped. All these are affecting badly for the stars. On the opening day itself, the big films are not getting bigger numbers. Only the films which are being released on Sankranthi are working well for Andhra Pradesh buyers.

Salaar 10 days total worldwide box office collections are out, and the film had a disappointing 2nd weekend. The Pan Indian action drama of Prabhas and Prashanth Neel was expected to gather massive numbers at the box office, but it failed to continue the momentum after the first weekend. Surprisingly, the film did not witness much jump on the 2nd weekend in all languages. In Telugu, the film has collected around 192 Cr  Gross in 10 days. In Tamil Nadu, the Gross of Salaar is around 20 Cr, 15.5 Cr in Kerala, and 39 Cr in Karnataka.

The North India Gross of the film will be around 135 Cr. Total all India Gross is 402Cr.  Overseas Gross is around 115 Cr, which takes the total worldwide Gross to 517 Cr approx.

This is definitely an underperformance for the film. As said above, before the release, the movie was expected to be the biggest Grosser of Indian Cinema for 2023, but now, even becoming South India’s biggest Grosser is not possible for the film as Rajinikanth’s Jailer stands at 625Cr, which Salaar cannot surpass.

The film, Animal holds excellent on the 5th weekend and collected around 5Cr net all India. Now the total Hindi net for the film is 494Cr, and it is heading towards the 500Cr net mark.

Including other languages, the total net of Animal in India is 545Cr, and it breaks Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathan India net of 543Cr. Animal becomes the 2nd biggest film for Bollywood after Jawan in India [All languages combined]. All India Gross is at 650Cr approx for the film and worldwide Gross is 890Cr. The film is expected to run for a few more days. Overall, it’s a fantastic run for the film.

This action drama was released in theaters worldwide on December 1. The animal has Ranbir, Bobby Deol, Anil Kapoor, and Rashmika Mandanna as the lead actors, along with Tripti Dimri, Shakti Kapoor, Suresh Oberoi, and others in supporting roles. Sandeep Reddy Vanga, who worked with Arjun Reddy and Kabir Singh, directed the movie, focusing on a father and son’s toxic relationship. Anil plays the emotionally unreliable father, and Ranbir plays the traumatized and angry son.
