The GOAT falls short of Leo

Tamil Actor, Vijay’s upcoming film, The GOAT shoot is under progress and aiming for release on 5th September. The film’s hype has been lowered down due to the poor songs released till now. The GOAT’s UK and Ireland bookings have been opened and the film’s performance is not upto the mark. The GOAT is surely falling short of Vijay’s previous film, Leo.

Leo took a sensational start at the box office. It was also the first 100cr+ opener for Tamil Film Industry. The total worldwide opening day gross was nearly 150 crores. The film gathered big hype due to the comibation of Vijay and Director Lokesh Kanagaraj who was riding high with his Vikram‘s blockbuster success.

The GOAT’s Bookings Opened:
In UK, the film has sold around 3000 tickets in 24 hours. The bookings look normal and good but not great when compared to Leo which sold around 10K+ tickets in 24 hours.

The GOAT trailer is Key:
The promotional content of the film as said has not worked big till now and failed to create the buzz. Now all eyes are on the trailer which should live up to the expectations. The trailer must also raise hype from the audiences for a big buzz for the film. It is learned that the team is preparing to release the trailer on Independence Day.

But it seems Anirudh is in trouble with his recent composition of Chuttamalle, Devara’s Second Single.

As we all know, Anirudh composed the song which released recently. The song immediately attracted copy allegations as it looked mostly similar to a Sri Lankan Song, Manike Maga Hithe which became a worldwide sensation. This song is very popular even in India that it was used as a song again in Actor Siddarth Malhotra’s Thank God. Now coming to Chuttamalle, the song’s tune and composition sound almost identical to Manike Maga Hithe.

Anirudh is receiving trolls for allegedly using the song for Devara. Social Media is filled with the comparison videos of both songs. Devara’s first song, Fear Song too faced same kind of copy allegations. Fear Song appealed like Anirudh’s earlier composed Bad Ass song from Leo. Many people too made edits then comparing both. Many film celebrities from Tollywood donated money to the flood victims as well. Chiranjeevi and Ram Charan together donated 1 crore rupees. Allu Arjun has donated 25 Lakhs and Rashmika Mandanna too has given 10 Lakhs. Tamil Actors, Suriya, Karthi and Vikram too have come forward for the donation.

On the other hand, Prabhas is currently busy for his The Raja Saab directed by Maruthi. The film’s glimpse has been released recently with Prabhas appearing in an uber cool avatar. But now, it looks like Dil Raju is taking over Game Changer.

Shankar who unanimously oversaw everything related to Game Changer has suffered a big blow with his Indian 2 that released recently. The film bombed at the box office with a poor negative response. The film brought many trolls on Shankar and his making as well. Now, This has alerted Dil Raju. We saw him announcing the release date of Game Changer immediately after Indian 2’s release. Game Changer was announced as a Christmas release by Dil Raju.

Recently, Game Changer’s dubbing works too have commenced with Dil Raju overseeing everything there. These confirm that the film would release definitely during the Christmas season. Dil Raju wants no postponements further for the film as the budget may rise again for few scenes and post production works.

Game Changer’s release date:
The team is planning to release Game Changer on 20th December in all the major languages. This will be a very good date for Pan Indian aimed film and there are no biggie films for clash in this season.
