Mahesh Babu’s re-release rampage: 4 films enter 5 crore club

Tollywood Blockbuster Pokiri started the re-release mania in Telugu States in recent years. A few other films also followed the trend, becoming successful, and a few made no impact. But Mahesh Babu’s all re-releases did great at the box office, creating a euphoria.

As said, very few films crossed the 5 crore gross mark in the re-release category. Out of these, half belong to Mahesh Babu, which is stunning. Till now, his re-releases, Businessman, Murari and Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu collected more than 5 crores gross. These films have also been trended on social media platforms on their release day.

Now, Khaleja is set to re-release tomorrow, and the film has already grossed 5 crores with its advance sales alone. Khaleja also became Mahesh Babu’s 4th re-release film to enter this club. The film will also have premieres tonight. The film has also recorded good advance bookings for the entire weekend. Many expect that the film may also enter the 10 crore gross club.

Pawan Kalyan’s much-awaited and long-delayed pan-Indian film, Hari Hara Veera Mallu – Part 1: Sword vs. Spirit, is all set to be released in theaters worldwide in less than two weeks. The latest news is that Pawan Kalyan wraps dubbing for Hari Hara Veera Mallu.

The film’s songs did not gather much interest from audiences, and fans eagerly await the film’s trailer, which can bring the much-required buzz among audiences. The makers officially announced that Pawan Kalyan wrapped dubbing for Hari Hara Veera Mallu.

The film’s producer, AM Ratnam’s son Jyothi Krisna, took over the project from Krish Jagarlamudi, and this historical action drama features Nidhhi Agerwal as the female lead.
The film’s advance ticket sales have already opened overseas, but in India, they are yet to begin.

There is a strong buzz in the industry circles and social media that HHVM Producers will request the Andhra Pradesh government for permission to screen special early morning shows starting as early as 1 AM or 4 AM.

Hari Hara Veera Mallu Cast & Crew

Besides Pawan Kalyan, HHVM includes a huge star cast such as Bobby Deol, Nassar, Nora Fatehi, Nargis Fakhri, Vennela Kishore, Pujita Ponnada, and Redin Kingsley. On June 14, the Telangana government will present the first Gaddar Awards. This morning, the special jury announced the awards in which Allu Arjun won the Best Actor Award for Pushpa 2.  Telangana Government Announces Gaddar Awards.

These awards recognize outstanding achievements in Telugu cinema, succeeding the Nandi Awards. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy launched the Gaddar Awards to honor poets, artists, and filmmakers, named after the iconic revolutionary balladeer Gaddar of Telangana.

Currently, the Telugu cinema fans are sharing these awards lists on social media and praising their heroes and favorite movies, as the Telangana government announces the Gaddar Awards. Especially, AA fans are excited as Allu Arjun won the Best Actor Award.

Kollywood Veteran Actor Kamal Haasan recently made interesting comments in his speech in Thug Life’s Audio Launch. The Actor opined that the Kannada language had taken its birth from Tamil sparking a big debate on social media platforms. Many Netizens have come out strongly against Kamal Haasan for making assumptions. Now, a Police complaint has also been lodged against the Actor.

A person named, Karave Praveen Shetty has lodged this at RT Nagar Police Station. The Police have accepted the complaint but no FIR has been registered yet. In his complaint, the person alongwith Karnataka Rakshana Vedike accused Kamal Haasan of hurting the sentiments of Kannadigas, attempting to incite tension between Kannadigas ans Tamils disturbing public peace.

This issue has also been addressed by Kamal Haasan today. He opined that he shouldn’t have made these comments about languages and their origins, feeling that they must be left to historians. But Kamal Haasan has still been getting the criticism and counters over this issue. Thug Life is releasing on June 5th worldwide, and it has to be seen how this turns out for the film.

Mirai Budget shocked everyone

Mirai starring Teja Sajja directed by Karthik Gattamneni is currently under shoot. The film’s Glimpse, which was released a year ago promised a big span with a stellar cast as well. The Film’s Teaser which released today, went even further, showcasing grand visuals and making skills. This making cost has shocked all now.

Usually, all the biggie films had big budgets but failed in providing the best output and quality. But Mirai did the opposite. It is learnt that the making cost of the film was around 40 crores including the remunerations which was surprising. The Director of the film and the makers must be appreciated for their execution and planning strategy.

Providing the best output with a minimal budget will surely put the producers in the comfort zone without a risk outcome. Teja Sajja has been riding high with the success of his Hanuman, which grossed nearly 300 crores worldwide. We need to see how big Mirai will be now.

USA bookings yet to gain momentum for Hari Hara Veera Mallu

Hari Hara Veera Mallu starring Pawan Kalyan is gearing up for release on June 12th worldwide. The film’s advance bookings opened in USA a few days ago. The initial bookings were promising, but these haven’t picked up further, and the sales are at $100K in premieres. This is not at all promising.

The main reason for this could be because of the unexciting content released so far, containing the 4 songs. A Teaser release could have done a great job, but it hasn’t happened yet. The team has spent so much time holding the shoot for many days, and the post-production works have also not started way before because of Pawan Kalyan’s unavailability.

The Trailer of the film must work very well. This is also expected to release next week and it should have a strong punch, as said. The film is also crucial for Pawan Kalyan since it’s his direct film after Agnyaathavaasi. The three films which released after Agnyaathavaasi were all remakes, which also weren’t blockbusters. Fans and Audience have been waiting eagerly to witness a positive result at the box office.

Dil Raju’s move backfires in ongoing dispute

Tollywood Producer Dil Raju recently arranged a press conference to counter the allegations used against him by few film personalities and the media. He clarified many things about the existing problems of the Film Industry and also blamed Janasena Leader, Atti Satynarayana, for the recent theatre strike call that shook the Tollywood circles. This person was also later suspended from Janasena.

But Satyanarayana took no time to post a counter as he too called for a press meet where he blamed Dil Raju’s brother Sirish for the decision behind the Theatre strike. He added that he had pressured AP Exhibitors to sign the official letter about demanding a percentage basis for the running of theatres. He explained that when this had happened there was no official information about the release date of Hari Hara Veera Mallu starring Pawan Kalyan.

Satynarayana also claimed that he would go to the court against Dil Raju for putting his political future at risk. With this press meet, many have started firing on Dil Raju for his blatant remarks about Atti Satyanarayana, who in turn, blamed Dil Raju for this incident.
