Captain Miller’s Telugu version is a big failure. Dhanush’s latest periodic action drama, Captain Miller did decent numbers in Tamil, but Ayalaan emerged as Pongal winner with gathering more collections than Captain Miller. The film was expected to get a decent performance in Telugu states. Captain Miller’s Telugu version is a big failure.

As the movie had runtime issues, the Telugu Distributors have trimmed the runtime and made it a bit crispy. The movie was released on 26th January in Telugu states and at the same time Ayalaan was also planned to be released, but it was postponed due to financial issues. Dhanush’s film also had Paid Premieres and the response was positive.

So, the trade circles expected the film to get decent numbers at the box office, which did not happen. On opening day with Republic Day Holiday advantage, it opened decently with 1Cr+ Gross collection, but Captain Miller failed to impress the audiences and crashed completely on Day 2 and did not pick up on Sunday.

The buyers will struggle to get the rents itself in Telugu states now, which makes the Telugu version of Captain Miller a big failure. The closing shares will be very minimal.

HanuMan’s North India Gross is around 56 Cr. The total all India Gross is around 210 Cr. Overseas Gross is around 52 Cr. The film’s total worldwide Gross is 262 Cr. The film becomes All Time Top Sankranthi Grosser beating Allu Arjun’s Ala Vaikuntha Purramuloo.

There have been massive speculations that the upcoming PVCU films will have a loaded star cast. In the latest interaction, Prasanth Varma said that while he is not against working with big stars, it takes a lot of time for a film’s completion owing to their busy schedules.

Earlier I had approached Allu Arjun, NTR, and Ram Charan and wasted a lot of my time as they were busy with other films and had a packed schedule. After that, I decided to keep strict deadlines for completing my movies. Now all eyes are on Jai Hanuman and everyone wants to know who is playing the Hanuman role. Saindhav is arriving early on OTT

Venkatesh’s Saindhav was one of the Sankranthi releases earlier this month. Despite having an interesting star cast and action-packed trailer, the film failed to get off a great opening and gradually lost its steam amidst other releases like Hanuman, Guntur Kaaram, and Naa Saami Ranga. Saindhav was a massive-budget action film with a big star cast and heavy competition and poor word of mouth led the film to end up with a single-digit share.

Saindhav is now getting ready for its OTT premiere soon. The movie has almost ended its box office run and will have an early OTT release. Saindhav is expected to stream this weekend onwards on Prime Video.

The movie was made on a huge budget, and the theatrical rights are valued at 25Cr and ended up with around 8Cr share worldwide. Even on the festival days, the film failed to put in good numbers, and after the festival holidays, it completely crashed at the box office.

The film starred Shraddha Srinath, Arya, Nawazuddin Siddique, Andreah Jeremiah, and Jishu Sengupta among others. Satish Kolanu directed this action thriller which revolves Venkatesh and his quest to keep his child safe and alive.

Sankranthi has been quite an auspicious occasion for Nagarjuna in terms of success. Soggade Chinni Nayana, the biggest blockbuster in Nag’s career, started this trend back in January 2016. His latest Sankranthi release, Naa Sami Ranga (2024), continued his winning streak. The action drama film opened to positive reviews upon release and emerged as a commercial success, providing a breath of fresh air to Nagarjuna, who faced continuous setbacks with his previous ventures.

To celebrate the film’s successful theatrical run, a success meeting was held today in Hyderabad. Sharing his joy with the entire team at the event, the veteran actor promised to meet again for the next Sankranthi as well. After starting the speech by thanking his fans and media, he went on to share the amount of hard work and dedication it took to finish the project in just three months. He ended his speech by saying, “See you next, Sankranthi.”. This left the fans wondering if Nag’s multi-starrer with Dhanush, the only officially announced project in his kitty, is aiming for a release in January 2025.

An official announcement has yet to be made by the makers to confirm or condemn it. The film, tentatively titled #DNS, is helmed by acclaimed filmmaker Shekhar Kammula with music composed by ‘Rock Star’ Devi Sri Prasad. Bankrolled by Suniel Narang and Puskur Ram Mohan Rao under Asian Group in association with Amigos Creations Pvt. Ltd., the film is being made on a massive budget. Owing to the recent successes of the director’s romantic dramas, Fidaa (2017) and Love Story (2021), and the actors’ latest releases, Capatain Miller (2024) and Naa Sami Ranga (2024), this pan-Indian venture is carrying great buzz in trade circles.

This will be the second time Dhanush will be seen in a straight Telugu flick after successfully debuting with Venky Atluri’s action drama film, Sir/Vaathi (2023). Rashmika Mandanna has been roped in to play the female lead in the film, in which Niketh Bommi will handle the camera and Ramakrishna Sabbani and Monika Nigotre will look after the production design.
