Ajay Devgn’s Shaitaan: Heading Towards Super Hit

Shaitaan (2024) is a Hindi-language supernatural horror film starring Ajay Devgn in a lead role. Directed by Vikas Bahl, it is an official remake of the Gujarati film Vash. With music composed by Amit Trivedi, it also stars Jyothika and Madhavan in key roles.

The film carried minimal buzz but gathered positive reviews upon release and emerged as a’sleeper hit’ at the box office; it has minted over INR 115 crore in just six days, collecting $2.7 million from overseas regions alone; it can be touted as Devgn’s comeback after the debacle of Bholaa (2023).

Shaitaan also received critical acclaim with praise for the performances, story, and technical aspects. It marks the collaboration of Jyothika and Madhavan after two decades. With no other films in competition, Shaitaan is expected to continue its good performance at the ticket window.

Pawan Kalyan and Trivikram Srinivas are two unseparable names when it comes to Telugu cinema. The duo has worked together over half a dozen times in the past two decades yielding classics like Jalsa (2008) and Attarintiki Daredi (2013), with the latter being hailed as the filmmaker’s best work to date.

However, the duo’s companionship goes much beyond the lights and cameras; as everyone knows, Trivikram is one of the closest friends of Pawan Kalyan. Delivering a speech on the eve of Jana Sena’s formation day, the celebrated actor spoke some memorable words about Trivikram. He stated that Trivkram stood by him during tough times, such as the aftermath of the 2019 election results. He also insisted him to choose the scripts that turned out to be Vakeel Saab (2021), Bheemla Nayak (2022), and Bro (2023).

Kalyan went on to reveal that Jalsa’s interval block was heavily inspired by his off-screen personality and concern for society. He has openly thanked Trivikram for all the support he has provided him over the years. The duo is expected to collaborate once again after the debacle of Agnathavasi (2018). However, an official announcement has yet to be made.

Initially titled #Thalapathy68, it is bankrolled by AGS Entertainment on a massive budget; the film’s songs and background score are composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja.

Easily one of the biggest films of the year, here is some exclusive information about the ongoing project. According to a reliable source, Vijay will be seen in dual roles as the protagonist and antagonist of the film. Trisha, a celebrated on-screen companion of Vijay, will be seen in a cameo appearance.

The source has also added that a dance number from The G.O.A.T will feature Vijay and Prabhudeva. The duo earlier shared screen in the song ‘Pokkiri Pongal’ from the film Pokkiri (2007). The release date of Jr NTR‘s Devara was announced as 5th April even before the film went on the floors. Once the shoot started, the film faced the usual delays associated with making a big movie. Koratala Siva and team tried hard to release the film on 5th April but with some pending portions still, left, they have postponed the release and announced a new date.

Initially, many were disappointed as team Devara had missed a blockbuster date with continuous holidays. Lokesh Kanagaraj’s Film With Prabhas Officially Confirmed

Lokesh Kanagaraj is one of the most hotshot directors of contemporary Indian cinema; his last theatrical release, Leo (2023), was a humongous blockbuster at the box office. Basking in his success streak, he’s currently working on a script for ‘Super Star’ Rajinikanth, which is a stand-alone film and not a part of Lokesh Cinematic Universe (LCU). After this, he is committed to directing Kaithi-2, Vikram-2, and a Rolex spin-off film.

Prabhas, on the other hand, also have multiple releases lined up, such as Kalki: 2898 AD and The Raja Saab & Salaar: Part-2, Shouryaanga Parvam. Dhruva Natchathiram has a stellar star cast that includes Simran, Ritu Varma, Aishwarya Rajesh, R Parthiban, Vinayakan, Divyadarshini, Raadhika Sarath Kumar, and Arjun Das, among others. Harris Jayaraj is the film’s music composer.
