Gautham Menon’s Dhruva Nathchathiram starring Vikram has been one of the most talked about Kollywood movies of the last decade. The film has mainly been in the news for its continuous delays and release date postponements. After years of delays, it now appears that the film will be making its way to the big screens soon.
After crossing all the financial hurdles, Dhruva Natchathiram is finally releasing on 28th March 2024. It will clash with Tillu Square and Prithviraj’s Aadu Jeevitham. The film came extremely close to release last year when it reportedly cleared its financial issues. But with just two days to go for release, it was again indefinitely postponed due to lack of distributors.
The film’s premise revolves around a covert operative who leads a team of elite professionals called The Basement. His only aim is to dismantle terrorist organizations secretly without being confined by laws and regulations. Dhruva Natchathiram was first announced in 2013 and was later shelved and the production started in 2017. Since then, there have been multiple delays and now the release date has finally come out.
Dhruva Natchathiram has a stellar star cast that includes Simran, Ritu Varma, Aishwarya Rajesh, R Parthiban, Vinayakan, Divyadarshini, Raadhika Sarath Kumar, and Arjun Das, among others. Harris Jayaraj is the film’s music composer.
