Both movies did not release at the same time and there was a 2-month gap between them. But once Jailer put such massive numbers at the box office, everyone was keen to see if Leo could cross this. Despite mixed word of mouth, Leo came very close to Jailer.

The Rajinikanth starrer collected Rs 625Cr gross worldwide while Leo ended closer to 600Cr gross. The main reason for Jailer’s victory over Leo was the Telugu numbers where the Rajini film surpassed Leo by double margin. At the Box office, Jailr emerged as the winner.
