Suriya teams up with cult director Karthik Subbaraj

Tamil Actor Suriya has finally teamed up with Tamil Cult director, Karthik Subbaraj. The film is also tentatively titled Suriya44 indicating it is the 44th film of Actor Suriya. Karthik Subbaraj is known for making different and rustic films. He enjoys a cult fan base among youth and other language fans as well, especially the Telugu audiences. His films got dubbed and remade here as well.

Karthik Subbaraj has officially confirmed the collaboration that Suriya is teaming up with him through his official X account. He said that he was very much pumped up for Suriya44. He also released a poster where an arrow is seen released through the mid-section of the tree and also fire behind it. Love Laughter War is the tagline. Suriya also tweeted saying that this is a new beginning and appealed for the good wishes of fans and audiences. The film will also be made as a Pan India level film. Suriya is already currently working for another Pan India film, Kanguva which is being made with a lavishing budget.

Kanguva’s teaser has released recently and showcased a big scale production values and making. The film is rumoured to be a time travelling thriller. It also stars Bobby Deol as the antagonist.

Pushpa: The Rise starring Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna directed by Sukumar became a nationwide sensation. Songs became chartbusters and the mannerisms and dance movements performed by Allu Arjun were imitated by many celebrities across the country. The film during its climax indicated the sequel i.e., Pushpa: The Rule. The team released a poster announcing the release date as 15th August this year. But there were rumors that the film might have a different release date. But the news is Pushpa 2’s release date remains unchanged.

Prabhas’ Pan India release Kalki and many other biggies too are said to have eyes on this release date. This also includes NTR and Koratala Shiva’s Devara. But the makers of Pushpa are confident about the release date. They released a poster today congratulating Allu Arjun on his 21st year anniversary in films. They revealed the release date as 15th August in the poster indicating that the film’s release date remains unchanged.

Pushpa 2: The Rule’s teaser had already released and showed Pushpa going missing. The teaser even was named as WHERE IS PUSHPA. It also showed Allu Arjun dressing up his hand as a lady. The first look poster too showed him in a lady avatar that is linked to a native festival in Tirupati.

Mythri Movie Makers Launch Multiplex At Guntur

One of the leading production companies of Telugu cinema, Mythri Movie Makers, has delivered some of the biggest of Tollywood in the last ten years. And they continue to work in the same direction with Pushpa-2: The Rule, a pan-Indian project slated for a worldwide release on August 15, 2024.

Keeping film production aside, the company has been aggressively investing in multiple segments of the entertainment industry. Established by Naveen Yerneni, Y. Ravi Shankar, and Mohan Cherukuri, Mythri has ventured into film distribution in Nizam recently, followed by producing a TV serial called ‘Maa Annayya’, which will premiere on Zed Telugu very soon.

In addition to this, the company went on to launch a world-class multiplex theatre in the city of Guntur, Andhra Pradesh. Launched under the brand name ‘Mythri Cinemas’, it is scheduled to open on March 29, 2024. The place, titled ‘Phoenix Mall’, will feature a total of six screens. Lokesh Kanagaraj is without a doubt the most celebrated filmmaker of Tamil cinema today; he joins the elite list of K. Balachander, Mani Rathnam, and S. Shankar, who’ve had a decades-long impact on audiences with their ground-breaking cinematic marvels. His last theatrical outing, Leo (2023), was a monstrous success at the box office, thus elevating him to new heights.

As officially announced, he is signed to direct a film with ‘Super Star’ Rajinikanth in the lead role. Bankrolled by Sun Pictures on a lavish budget, this is a standolone project that is not part of Lokesh Cinematic Universe (LCU). In spite of that, it is crafted as an ‘event’ film that can entertain audiences across the length and breadth of the country, like that of S. S. Rajamouli’s films.

Tentatively titled #Thalaivar171, the project’s already carrying enormous hype, and trade experts call it a film with a potential gross of INR 1000 crore. Amidst this frenzy, the filmmaker leaves an update with a poster that portrays the Thalaivar in an astonishing manner. As stated in the poster, a title-revealing teaser will be out on April 22, 2024. The film’s music is composed by Anirudh Ravichander, while AnbAriv will handle the stunts department.

Premalu OTT streaming delayed?

Recently released Malayalam film Premalu became a box office sensation. The film having a low star cast managed to gross more than 100 crores worldwide already. With the film attaining recognition many other language audiences are waiting eagerly. But it seems Premalu OTT streaming date is delayed.

After becoming a blockbuster in Malayalam, the son of Director Rajamouli, SS Karthikeya immediately bought the distribution rights and released it in Telugu. The film became a sensation here as well. It withstood the competition with other Telugu films, Bhima and Gaami. Premalu has already grossed 10 crores gross here and became the highest-grossed Telugu-dubbed Malayalam film also. The film was released in Tamil by Red Giant Films and it is working well there as well. The streaming rights of the film were bought by leading OTT giant, Disney+Hotstar. Everyone thought that the film will stream on Disney+Hotstar from tonight but there is no update regarding the streaming time yet.

The team might be waiting for the collections to come to a halt. It seems that the streaming date will be delayed for some more days or it may stream tonight as well. It needs to be seen if the team gives an update about the streaming date.

Tillu Square story plot, censor report, and advance bookings details

Tillu Square starring Siddhu Jonnalagadda and Anupama Parameswaran is a sequel to smashing hit DJ Tillu. The film is produced by Naga Vamsi under Sithara Entertainments and directed by Mallik Ram. Tillu Square’s trailer and posters generated the necessary buzz and the film is slated for release tomorrow 29th March. The plot story and censor report are already done in the overseas market. It is as follows:

Tillu Square as the censor report follows a DJ’s life that takes a series of complicated twists and turns following a murder which includes scenes of violence and bloodletting as well as some sex and drug references. This obviously follows a bit of DJ Tillu’s story but it feels the concentration was much on drugs and explicit scenes. The film’s runtime is noted as 147 minutes which is 2 hours and 27 minutes.

The film has good advance bookings in the US. The premiere gross is also in the range of $250K. Hyderabad city’s advance bookings gross is 1.15 crores. The film is all set for a good opening. Theatrical rights are valued at 32 crores worldwide. Netflix bought the digital rights already. The film will have special shows tomorrow starting at 7 AM.

Mollywood’s success continues with The Goat Life

The Mollywood Industry is on a roll. The Industry recently saw two back-to-back blockbusters with Manjummel Boys and Premalu. Now, it seems Mollywood’s success continues with The Goat Life as well. The Goat Life also titled Aadu Jeevitham has released today. The openings are extraordinary with superb reviews.

The Goat Life is all set to be one of the biggest openers in the Mollywood Industry and is on its way to becoming the next 100 crores grosser in the Malayalam language. The film will also be the biggest for Prithviraj by a huge margin at the box office. The film’s advance bookings had started very well and this generated a very positive buzz and word of mouth. Manjummel Boys was recently released and it went on to gross more than 200 crores worldwide. This film had no star cast and still became the industry hit there.

On the other hand, Premalu too went on a collection spree. It managed to gross 100 crores with the same low-star cast. Premalu is also on its to becoming the 3rd highest-grosser there. Malayalam Industry and audience are deeply into promoting good content and now, The Goat Life too is on its way to be included in the list.

Naveen Polishetty had a bike accident

Tollywood Actor, Naveen Polishetty met with an accident. He encountered a bike accident in the US resulting in a fractured hand. The doctors prescribed him two months of bed rest for recovery. He is currently busy with Anaganaga Oka Raju and the first look of the film was also released months ago.

Game Changer: Poor response for Jaragandi song

Much-awaited Jaragandi song’s lyrical video from Game Changer released to much excitement of the fans. The film is directed by Maverick director, Shankar starring Ram Charan and Kiara Advani. SS Thaman scored the music for the film. The song which carried the hype didn’t meet the expectations. Jaragandi song garnered a very poor response from the audience. Jaragandi has registered very less views in 24 hours.

The song clocked 4.5 Million Views and 290K likes which is considered a very poor score based on a Tier 1 hero’s range. This is the lowest for any star hero in recent times. This is indeed a shock to both Shankar and Ram Charan. Jaragandi had 310K and 510K views from both Hindi and Tamil respectively.

The song leaked months ago leading to a controversy. The team and SS Thaman then reworked on the song. It released yesterday at 9 AM. It featured both Ram Charan and Kiara Advani in ravishing costumes. So much of budget is also spent on the song. Renowned Choreographer Prabhudeva composed the choreography for the song. Producer Dil Raju yesterday at an event quoted saying that released portion of the song is just 2% of the full-length song. He indirectly hinted about the release date also.
