War 2: No Premieres, 4AM Shows Locked

0

The Telugu cinema started the trend of special premieres or paid premieres before a big film’s release. There was a buzz that NTR and Hrithik Roshan’s War 2 will also have such shows. But there are no premieres for War 2, and 4 AM shows are locked.

Recently, in Telugu states, a new trend has been started with Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2, which had special premieres on the night before its release day with record ticket prices. It was a huge success.

Lately, Pawan Kalyan’s Hari Hara Veera Mallu also continued this trend, and even for this film, the shows gave good numbers. The special shows worked massively for both films, and they delivered record numbers.

No Special/Paid Premieres for War 2: Shows Will Start At 4 AM

As said above, there was a buzz that the much-awaited sequel to The War will also have special shows or premieres in Telugu states.

But the latest news is that it is confirmed that there are no premieres for War 2, and 4 AM shows are locked in both Telugu states. These shows will have a flat ticket price, which is said to be around 500 Rs.

Even though War 2 is a complete Bollywood-style film, the presence of the NTR factor will work for special shows, as the actor has a huge fan base in masses, and he always pulls huge audiences for benefit shows.

So, War 2 is also expected to see big numbers upon its early morning shows.

Coolie Breaking Leo’s Opening

0

The advance ticket sales and the buzz around Rajinikanth’s Coolie are just fantastic. The film has become the talk of the town among the trade movie lovers. Coolie is all set to break Vijay’s Leo opening at the box office.

Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, Leo had the biggest opening ever in Kollywood, and it was also the 1st 100 Cr+ opener for Tamil cinema. Many high factors worked for the film, such as Vijay being at his peak and Lokesh Kanagaraj becoming the no. 1 after Vikram, combined with the LCU factor, taking the film to see a never-before opening for Kollywood.

Rajinikanth’s Coolie to break Vijay’s Leo Opening at the Box Office

Till today, the trade had mixed opinions about Rajini-Lokesh’s film beating Vijay-Lokesh’s film’s record, as the trailer did not work in its favor. Also, it is not a part of the LCU film, and mainly, the film’s clash with War 2 does not allow it to have a record number of shows.

Because of all the above-mentioned points, the trade doubted the Superstar Rajini’s stardom, but now, Rajinikanth’s Coolie is all set to break Vijay’s Leo opening at the box office.

Coolie Registers Massive Advance Bookings

The advance bookings for the film were opened overseas recently, and today in Kerala. The response from the audiences is sensational. Leo opened with 148 Cr gross worldwide, and Coolie, in any case, will see 85 Cr+ opening in India and 65 Cr+ overseas.

A 150 Cr+ opening is a sure shot for the action drama, and it can go near 170 Cr+ too if it receives positive WOM. But breaking the record of the Leo movie is guaranteed.

Su From So Movie Review: A Fun-Filled And Impressive Ride

0

Movie Name: Son of Sardaar 2
Rating: 3/5
Cast:
Shaneel Gautham, J. P. Thuminad, Sandhya Arakere, Prakash Thuminad, Pushparaj Bolar, and Others
Director: J. P. Thuminad
Produced By:
Raj B. Shetty
Release Date: 8th August 2025

Su From So is the latest Kannada flick directed by newbie JP Thuminad and produced by Raj B Shetty, and it’s now out in Telugu. This film blends native comedy with a hint of horror, set in a rural backdrop, and it’s doing great at the box office. Let’s see in our review if it can work its magic in Telugu too.

Story:

The story takes place in the little town of Marlur, where residents start to think that a man named Ashok (JP Thuminad) is haunted by a ghost called Sulochana. His family starts to worry, and soon the whole hamlet is terrified.

Ravanna, the go-to guy for the villagers, intervenes to solve this problem. After looking into it, Ravanna discovers that the ghost originated in the adjacent village of Someshwara. The remainder of the movie centers on why Ashok is possessed by this ghost and what hilarious events his village people and Ravanna go through while trying to save him.

Performances:

Shaneel Gautham is perfect as Ravanna. He keeps his act consistent and never goes overboard and carries the weight of the film. JP Thuminad, the director, does not have much scope in the beginning, but the character emerges better as it progresses, and his appearance in the climax adds intrigue. Sandhya Arakere does good justice to her part.

The cast also features Prakash Thuminad, Deepak Rai Paanaaje, Mime Ramadas, and Pushparaj Bolar, along with others, including Raj B Shetty playing Swamiji. Everyone steps up and gets their job done. In his brief time on screen, Raj B Shetty brings fun and energy.

Analysis:

JP Thuminad is the director of Su From So, who also played one of the lead roles in the film. The narrative shines because of its realistic setting. The audience gets the genuine village feel, and the characters respond just right for their environment.

A lot of the laughs come from how the villagers handle the mysterious stuff, and it really works, especially in the second half.

The latter half delves into a social issue and handles it well without going on a heavy path. The interactions between Sandhya and Ravanna and Sandhya and Ashok bring good emotions as well. The climax, where the film tries to give a heartfelt message, is good.

Coming to the flaws, the film takes its own time to arrive at the main point in the first half. Even after a major turn, some scenes look pretty straightforward, and a few scenes come off as a bit repetitive.

Positives:

  • Performances
  • Comedy Scenes
  • Second Half
  • Climax

Negatives:

  • First 30 Minutes
  • A Few Repetitive Moments
  • Some Unnecessary Characters/Scenes

Su From So Movie Review and Verdict:

Su From So is a fun-filled ride with a touch of horror here and there and a heartfelt message at the end. Though it has some flaws, the film benefits from several fun moments that really hit the mark, especially in the latter part, thanks to Shaneel Gautham and the other star cast, and ends up as an enjoyable watch.

Mayasabha Faces Backlash, Yet Wins Hearts

0

Mayasabha, the latest Telugu web series directed by Deva Katta, is now the talk of the town. It garnered everyone’s attention with the teaser itself. Now, after its release, Mayasabha faces backlash, yet it wins hearts.

The first season of this political drama is streaming on Sony Liv. Mainly, it has two kinds of responses. A section of viewers and critics praise the performances, writing, and dramatic moments.

Mayasabha Receives Rave Reviews and Harsh Criticism at the Same Time

Most of the people have already called it the best web series in Telugu, and they are highly anticipating the next season.

However, some sections of people who are ardent fans of CBN and the late YSR are not happy with Mayasabha, as they felt the series is nowhere near reality, and in a few scenes, some characters are portrayed negatively, which has hurt them.

Especially the scenes/dialogues where one of the leads’ family background and religious beliefs are discussed have received heavy criticism from the netizens.

Overall, Mayasabha faces backlash, yet it wins the hearts of OTT viewers. It is common that a web series made on real characters comes up with mixed reactions.

Deva Katta’s Mayasabha is a well-made series with real characters and real situations, but the lead scenes for situations are completely fictional.

We should wait and see what changes the creators of the series will make to the coming seasons.

With only a few days left until its theatrical release, Rajinikanth and Lokesh Kanagaraj’s Coolie is driving the fans crazy with its advance ticket sales. Coolie crushes Jailer and Vettaiayan in Kerala bookings in just 4 hours.

The advance bookings of the action drama have been opened this morning, and the film is trending beyond everyone’s expectations. Many of the shows are already sold out.

Rajinikanth’s Coolie Crosses 50K+ Hourly Peak Sales On Book My Show

Despite the bookings getting opened for limited shows, the movie reached 50K+ hourly peak bookings in the ticketing app, Book My Show. This suggests that the Lokesh Kanagaraj directorial will create new benchmarks in BMS if full-fledged bookings open in all territories.

Coolie’s Advance Sales Cross Jailer and Vettaiayan In Kerala

Rajinikanth and Lokesh Kanagaraj’s Coolie crushes Jailer and Vettaiayan in Kerala bookings in just 4 hours. The film recorded ₹2.5 Cr+ in pre-sales within the first 4 hours of bookings and has already surpassed the final pre-booking sales of Superstar’s previous movies, Jailer (₹2.1 Cr) and Vettaiyan (₹1.7 Cr).

This says how sensational a response the film has received. Till now, only two films, Empuraan and Leo, achieved double-digit starts in Kerala, and Coolie is on track to join them.

0

Balakrishna and Boyapati Srinu’s Akhanda 2 release date was announced many days back by the producers. Despite some unconfirmed reports of its postponement, the makers say that Akhanda 2 will roar into theaters on September 25.

As said above, the producers of the film announced the September date long back, but there have been continuous rumors in the industry that the crazy sequel will be postponed from 25 September.

The makers have continuously denied all the reports, and today, they have officially said that Akhanda 2 will roar into theaters on September 25. They shared this news as Balakrishna completed his dubbing for the film.

The CG work, re-recording, and other works are happening simultaneously. All the pending work will be finished by the end of this month, and the first copy will be ready within 3 weeks. The film will be released on 25 September without any delays.

Coolie Leading Overseas, War 2 To Reverse Locally

0

Ever since the makers of Rajinikanth-Lokesh Kanagaraj’s Coolie and Hrithik Roshan-NTR’s War 2 announced the clash on August 14th, audiences became highly interested in it. As of now, Coolie is leading overseas, while War 2 is trending in reverse.

Tamil is the main language for Coolie, while Hindi is the main language for War 2. But for both films, the 2nd biggest market is Telugu. NTR is one of the leads in War Sequel, which is a huge factor for Telugu audiences.

Coming to Coolie, there is Superstar Rajinikanth, and his face-off with Nagarjuna is an exciting factor for Telugu cinema lovers. Also, Lokesh Kanagaraj has built a good image among Telugu audiences.

Coolie Leads Overseas: Dominates War 2, Including Telugu Version

War sequel’s business is almost double that of Rajnikanth’s film, but surprisingly, Coolie is leading overseas, while War 2 is trending in reverse.

This trend needs to be reversed in the local markets. NTR’s mass following will bring huge numbers for benefit shows for the sequel of War, even with hiked ticket prices, which will not work for Coolie.

But if it comes to regular shows, both films will have a tight face-off, and the WOM will decide which one will take the lead.

Somehow Coolie’s promotional content worked better than War 2 for Telugu audiences, which is the reason for the Tamil biggie taking the lead over the YRF spy action drama.

The makers of War 2 plan a big pre-release event this weekend, and the film’s buzz is expected to go next level after this.
