Massive budget for Nikhil’s Swayambhu War episode

After the blockbuster success of Karthikeya 2, Nikhil has turned his focus on adventure-mythology genre. He will be next seen in Swayambhu which written and directed by Bharat Krishnamachari. Samyukhta Menon will be seen opposite Nikhil in this pan-India project feature Nikhil as a Hanuman bhakt.

Currently, the team is filming an epic action sequence involving a prominent cast. Nikhil will be seen performing some breathtaking stunts in this episode, shot for 12 days on 700 artists, including Vietnamese fighters. The war sequence is filmed prestigiously in two big sets. The film is slated to release in the later part of this year.

This is going to be one of the major highlights of the movie. This action episode in particular is going to give a great feeling of exhilaration on the big screen. KGF Series and Salaar fame Ravi Basrur is the film’s music director, while Manoj Paramahamsa handles the Camera. The film will be released on a pan-India scale in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Malayalam, and Kannada languages.

Geethanjali Malli Vachindhi, the sequel to the big hit Geethanjali released recently. But the film didn’t repeat the success of its prequel. Geethanjali Malli Vachindhi mostly retained the same cast but not the success. Now, the film is about to test its luck on the OTT platform.

Geethanjali Malli Vachindhi is arriving early on the OTT within three weeks of its release. The film will premiere on May 8th i.e., tomorrow on Aha Video. This has been confirmed through the official X account of the OTT platform. The tweet said, “Akka nv malli vachavaaa ..! Sare Aha lo Kaluddam.”

The sequel was released almost after a decade. There is no room for a sequel creation as well but the makers wanted to do it again. The promotional content of the film too didn’t excite the audience. However, Some films even after becoming flops in the theatres perform well on the OTT platforms. Geethanjali Malli Vachindhi may have the chance as there are no perfect films in the theatres now. The film stars Anjali and Srinivasa Reddy in the lead roles directed by Shiva Thurlapati. Kona Venkat who earlier worked on the prequel acted as one of the writers for the film as well.

Telugu Cinema Industry going against YS Jagan

Normally Telugu cinema industry heroes and technicians remain silent on elections as they want all parties’ support and do not want to fall into the bad books of any party. As an industry, government policies and regulations can impact their functioning as seen in the recent AP ticket pricing issue. Even in the recently concluded Telangana assembly elections, no hero or director spoke for or against any party.

But that’s not the case with the upcoming Andhra elections. Two of Tollywood’s biggest heroes Pawan Kalyan and Balakrishna are fighting against the ruling party YSRCP. The entire Mega family has stood up in support of Pawan Kalyan. Even several actors, producers, and directors are directly supporting Pawan Kalyan and his alliance with TDP.

After Sai Dharam Tej and Varun Tej, Pawan Kalyan has received a massive boost in the form of support from Mega Star Chiranjeevi. Chiranjeevi released a video earlier today in support of his brother and his fight for justice and people’s welfare.

Nani has also expressed his support for the Janasena chief and has expressed solidarity as a member of film family. Nani stated that he is rooting for Pawan Kalyan and even the entire film fraternity feels the same.

This directly represents a majority of Telugu cinema industry members are going against YS Jagan. This is due to two reasons one is love for Pawan Kalyan and the other one is ticket price issues the industry faced. He has been quite busy with back-to-back films and it appears that politics are now a part of a forgotten past and he has moved on from his political ambitions. Post his return to films in 2017 wit Khaidi No.150, the Mega Star has not looked back.

Chiranjeevi, after his exit from politics has remained silent on political issues and only got involved when there was an issue regarding the film industry. He never got involved in any political party including Pawan Kalyan’s Janasena. But recently, he has started getting involved with Janasena and supported it by donating 5 Cr and requesting people to vote for a few NDA alliance candidates in Andhra Pradesh.

Now, the big buzz is that Chiranjeevi will also campaign for Pawan Kalyan in Pithapuram before election days. This will be a huge moment, bringing Chiranjeevi and Pawan Kalyan on one platform. So far, Sai Dharam Tej and Varun Tej have campaigned for Janasena and the arrival of Mega Star may provide a solid boost to Janasena. We will soon find out if the two come together or now as elections are now less than a week away and campaigning about to end.

Prabhas To Join Manchu Vishnu’s Kannappa Tomorrow!

Manchu Vishnu will be next seen in a fantasy drama film titled ‘Kannappa’. Currently in production, it features an ensemble cast of Mohan Babu, Akshay Kumar, and R. Sharathkumar. Alongside them, it also features cameo appearances by Mohanlal and our very own ‘Rebel Star’ Prabhas.

With an on-board budget of INR 100 crore, it is the most expensive film in Vishnu’s career. The actor himself has written the film’s screenplay, while Mukesh Kumar Singh has been roped in to direct it. Kannappa will be a ‘Pan-Indian’ flick with a simultaneous release across the five main languages.

According to the latest update, Prabhas will be joining the team tomorrow; as we all know, he will be playing Lord Shiva on screen. The film’s music is being composed by Stephen Devassy and Mani Sharma. Kannappa will hit screens in the latter half of 2024.

Premalu Creates A New Record In Telugu!

Premalu (2024), a romantic comedy film starring Naslen and Mamitha Baiju, has emerged as a sensation in Kerala. With a worldwide gross of INR 135 crore, it is one of the highest-grossing Malayalam films of all time. Following its success, it has been dubbed and released in Telugu with the same title.

Expectedly, the film received praise from not just audiences but from the likes of Mahesh Babu and Rajamouli. Premalu emerged as a commercial success in Telugu as well. Streaming platform ‘Aha’ has acquired the digital rights to this film for an undisclosed price.

Indian-2 New Release Date Locked!

Titled Bharateeyudu-2 in Telugu, Indian-2 is one of the biggest films of the year. As the title suggests, it is a direct sequel to the 1996 vigilante action thriller film Indian. Directed by Shankar Shanmugam, it features Kamal Hassan reprising his role from the first installment as ‘Senapathi’.

For multiple reasons, this project has been through a production hell with multiple shooting halts and changes in schedule. Clearing all the obstacles, the film was slated for a worldwide release on June 13, 2024. However, the makers withdrew from the plan, citing unfinished work.

According to the latest information, Indian-2 is arriving on July 17, 2024, and an official announcement regarding the same will be out very soon. With music composed by Anirudh Ravichander, the film also stars Rakul Preet Singh, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Kajal Agarwal, S. J. Suryah, and Siddharth.

S. S. Rajamouli’s RRR Re-Releasing: Is it Necessary?

RRR (2022) has been the most talked-about Indian film in recent times internationally. The fact that it trended for a record 25 weeks on Netflix speaks for itself. An epic action drama film, it stars Ram Charan, Jr. NTR, in lead roles while Ajay Devagn and Alia Bhatt played key supporting roles.

After umpteen postponements, the film finally hit the screens on March 24, 2022, to positive reviews and grossed over INR 1200 crore worldwide. While the figure sounds impressive, reality tells a different story. Barring a few territories, RRR has been a loss-making venture in most parts of the country.

This is surely understandable considering the number of times it was postponed which diluted the buzz among audiences. Despite this, what made this Rajamouli‘s fictional drama stand out was the international acclaim it received. Thanks to Netflix’s global reach, the film received praise from some of the biggest figures in Hollywood, including the legends James Cameron and Steven Speilberg.

Having said that, everything remains done and dusted regarding RRR. People across the globe have watched it multiple times already. Considering this, whats the point of re-releasing it? The core idea of a re-release is to enjoy a decades-old classic on big screens again and savour the nostalgia associated with it.

But what’s the point of re-releasing a two-year-old movie? Only Jesus knows what led the makers of the film to take such a decision. It must be seen how audiences react to this immature move. RRR is re-releasing on May 10, 2024, in Telugu and Hindi.

Tamil Actor Dhanush confirmed his next film with Tollywood Director Sekhar Kammula recently. The film is also titled Kubera. Actor Nagarjuna is also playing a pivotal role in the film. Dhanush filmed for over 10 hours near a garbage dump in Mumbai without wearing a mask for the film. This is to portray the real pain and emotions on screen. This also shows that Dhanush is putting his life for Kubera.

Recently, Nagarjuna has also revealed that Dhanush’s characterization is like an underdog in the film. He is also said to be playing two shades in the film: ultra-rich and poor. Nagarjuna’s character’s first look has also been released recently with a glimpse video. Dhanush is known for portraying characters very intensely in his films. So he’s repeating it for Kubera it seems.

Dhanush’s recent film, Captain Miller became a hit released in the Sankranthi Season. The film however didn’t yield the result Dhanush wanted. The film was picturized as a Pan India biggie but ended up being okay at the box office. The other release, Ayalaan too scored a hit in the season. So Dhanush wants to prove himself badly with this film. This will be his third bi-lingual after the VIP 2 and Sir.
