Pawan Kalyan Enters Final Phase of Film Shoots

It is widely known that actor Pawan Kalyan announced a break or retirement from movies for his political entry. Currently he has two films to be released, and he will enter the last phase of the film shoot next week. 

Earlier this year, Pawan completed the shoot of Hari Hara Veera Mallu and released the film as well. After that, he finished the shoot of OG, which is slated for 25 September release.

With this schedule, Pawan’s portions will be completed for Ustaad Bhagat Singh, and he will complete the shoots of all his committed films.

Lokah, the latest Malayalam film released in the Onam competition, emerges as a big winner. Despite the competition with Mohanlal’s Hridayapoorvam, this superhero film creates history with a record-breaking weekend at the box office. 

The film had a huge jump day by day on the opening weekend and collected around 65 Cr gross worldwide. The trade is shocked as Lokah has a record-breaking weekend at the box office.

Directed by Dominic Arun, the film scores the all-time 3rd biggest weekend for Malayalam cinema after Mohanlal’s Empuraan and Thudarm.

The biggest advantage for the film is the numbers also coming from the Telugu States (the Telugu version is titled Kotha Lokah), Tamil Nadu, and the Malayalam belts. 

Even today also, the advance bookings are super strong for this superhero film, and the trade expects that it will easily do 150 Cr + gross in its full run and even go beyond 200 Cr + if the same trend continues.

Pawan Kalyan’s OG USA bookings are creating new benchmarks with each passing day and are going on a terrific note. The film becomes Tollywood’s top USA premiere pre-sales film of 2025.

With pre-sales nearing $800K for the North America premieres, OG has already achieved the biggest pre-sales for Tollywood premieres in the USA this year, with 24 days still left before the release.

This year, Ram Charan’s Game Changer’s final pre-sales are around 750K, the Coolie Telugu Version is also in the same range, War 2 is at $560K, and Hari Hara Veera Mallu is at $505K. With 24 days for release, “They Call Him OG” sets the biggest number for this year.

Also, the film is on track to beat Coolie Premieres ($3.05M) to become the biggest opener of this year in America for Indian cinema.

Akhanda 2 Digital and Satellite Partner Details

Balakrishna’s Akhanda 2 is one of the most awaited projects for Telugu cinema this year. The film has been postponed from September 25 due to a delay in VFX. Now, the details of the digital and satellite partners of Akhanda’s sequel are out. 

The latest reports suggest that Akhanda 2’s satellite rights have been acquired by popular Telugu TV channel Star Maa, and the digital rights have been bought by Jio Hotstar. The interesting thing is that the first part’s digital partner is also the same.
