Pawan Kalyan Down with High Fever

0

Janasena Chief and Andhra Pradesh Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan has been suffering from viral fever for the past four days. Since his condition has not improved and he has been experiencing a severe cough, doctors advised him to move from Mangalagiri to Hyderabad for further medical tests.

Following this advice, he left for Hyderabad on Friday to undergo treatment. Party sources confirmed this development. A few days ago, on Sunday, Pawan Kalyan had attended the pre-release event of OG in Hyderabad. Despite heavy rain, he took part in the celebrations and even delivered a speech and entertained his fans, as he did not want to disappoint them.

However, by Monday, it was revealed that he was down with viral fever. Even then, he attended the Assembly sessions and later visited Goddess Kanaka Durga temple on Indrakeeladri. Party representatives later shared that his fever worsened from Monday night onwards, and doctors strictly advised him to take rest.

Despite his health condition, Pawan Kalyan reportedly continued to hold teleconferences with officials regarding departmental matters. With his fever persisting for four days and his cough getting more severe, doctors have now suggested that he undergo detailed medical check-ups in Hyderabad.

Devara vs OG Day 1: Both Emerge Winners

0

Pawan Kalyan’s OG collected sensational numbers on day 1 at the box office. The film arrived in theaters with huge expectations. The film failed to beat NTR’s Devara Day 1 number but both films are winners on their own.

Devara, released last year, had achieved one of the biggest openings in Tollywood ever with 151 Crore gross for all languages. The opening stuns the trade as NTR scores the numbers with Koratala Siva whose last film Acharya was a big failure at the box office.

So, the opening of Devara proved how strong NTR’s stardom is. Before OG’s release, the fans and netizens had discussed whether it could break Tarak’s films openings even though there are other big openers like RRR, Pushpa 2, Baahubali 2, and Kalki.

There was a continuous discussion/argument on whether OG will beat Devara in openings on the internet.

The final result is, both films emerged as winners, OG collects 142 Cr gross worldwide on day 1 and with 151 Cr gross, Devara leads for all langauges as it had some decent numbers in hindi Whereas Pawan Kalyan’s film did not see much numbers in Hindi.

But if we see only Telugu numbers, OG slightly leads over Devara. So, both films are very big openers, and NTR and Pawan Kalyan proved their big stardom.

0

Sivakarthikeyan and AR Murugadoss got together for the first time with the action drama Madharaasi, which is all set to arrive on OTT soon. The movie fell short of expectations when it hit theaters.

Although critics considered it the director’s best film in recent years, it somehow failed to meet expectations at the box office.

Madharaasi on OTT from next week

Madharaasi, which ended up with collecting just over 100 Cr gross at the box office, will be available for streaming on OTT starting on October 1.

The OTT giant Prime Video secured the digital rights of the film and officially announced the streaming date just a while ago.

Anirudh Ravichander composed the film’s music, and Rukmini Vasanth plays the lead role. Vikranth, Vidyut Jammwal, Biju Menon, and Shabir (known as Dancing Rose) also have significant roles.

OG Day 1 Collection: Tollywood’s 7th Biggest Opener

0

Pawan Kalyan’s OG sees a phenomenal opening across all territories. The film registered the 7th biggest opening ever for Tollywood for all languages. If we look only at the Telugu box office, the film registered the third biggest opening after RRR and Pushpa 2.

The action drama OG collected 142 Cr gross worldwide on the opening day, with 100 Cr from India and 42 Cr from overseas.

Telugu Stars Films With 100 Cr+ Opening (All Languages)

  • Pushpa 2: The Rule: 280 Cr
  • RRR: 223 Cr
  • Bahubali 2: 215 Cr
  • Kalki 2898 AD: 170 Cr
  • Salaar: 154 Cr
  • Devara: 151 Cr
  • OG: 142 Cr
  • Adipurush: 125 Cr
  • Saaho: 117 Cr

The film should maintain a decent hold at the box office over its first weekend, which would bring it close to the breakeven figure.

Now, it all depends on how the movie uses the advantage of the Dasara holidays after the first weekend.

Vijay’s Kushi Re-Release Fails

0

The re-release trend has gained significant success in South India over the past few years. However, audiences eventually grew tired of the constant re-releases. Now, Vijay’s Kushi re-release fails to attract audiences.

Vijay’s old blockbuster, Ghilli (Okkadu remake), was re-released last year and created a sensation and collected huge numbers at the box office. The film opened with 4.3 Cr gross in Tamil Nadu and collected around 25 Cr gross, with a worldwide closing gross of over 30 Cr.

Vijay’s Kushi Re-Release: Huge Disappointment

Producer AM Ratnam, currently facing financial difficulties, had high hopes that the re-release of Vijay’s Kushi would perform significantly better and offer much-needed relief.

But surprisingly, the film did not see many numbers. In Tamil Nadu it opened with just close to 1 Cr gross, and the weekend bookings are also not that great. The film is nowhere near Ghilli Numbers, and it may not even cross Ghilli’s opening day in its full run.

Mahesh Missed-Pawan Grabbed OG

Interesting news about the title of Pawan Kalyan’s latest film, OG, and Mahesh Babu is going viral on social media. It is being said that the title was first registered for Superstar’s movie, but later it went on to PowerStar.

At the success press meet of OG, producer Danayya expressed his gratitude to fellow producer Naga Vamsi. Vamsi was the first to register the title OG, but when Danayya requested it, he willingly gave it up. Danayya emphasized the importance of a title card in generating buzz for a movie and thanked Naga Vamsi for his gesture.

OG Title: From Mahesh Babu to Pawan Kalyan

With this, news started getting circulated on social media that the title was registered for the Mahesh Babu-Trivikram film. It’s known news that initially, they both wanted to do a high-octane action entertainer, and even the glimpse was also released during the announcement.

But after, due to many reasons, the team shifted the genre and made Guntur Kaaram. As the title did not match the family story, Vamsi is said to have given the title to the Pawan Kalyan film.

The title undoubtedly plays a crucial role in generating buzz for a film. Fans are now talking about how Mahesh missed out, but Pawan managed to secure the title of OG.

OG Falls Behind Pushpa 2 in Nizam

0

Since the pre-release days, there has been a constant comparison between Pawan Kalyan’s “They Call Him OG” and Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2 regarding the box office records. After the release, OG falls behind Pushpa 2 in Nizam on the first day.

Pushpa 2 holds the Nizam opening day record with 25 Cr+ share excluding GST. With GST the share is 29 Cr+. OG was expected to break this record, as it has huge premiere shows.

OG Fails to beat Pushpa 2 in Nizam

Also, the premieres of the film broke Pushpa 2 numbers by a huge margin. But coming to the total opening day, Pushpa 2 has a significant lead over OG. This is due to Allu Arjun’s film having a higher ticket price compared to Pawan Kalyan’s film in Nizam, and the film also sees some drop on the opening day compared to the Pushpa sequel.

OG in Nizam opens with a 20.3 Cr share excluding GST. With GST it will be 24 Cr. This is the 2nd biggest opening in Nizam after Pushpa 2. The movie’s rights sold for 55 Cr including GST, and the movie recovered 44% on opening day itself, which is a sensational start for the film.

Now, a decent to good hold on the first weekend is enough for the film to reach almost the break-even number.

The advantage for the film is that even after the first weekend, it will post some good numbers with the advantage of Dasara holidays along with the additional advantage of Mahatma Gandhi Jayanti.

OG 2 Before Goodbye

0

OG, the action drama starring Pawan Kalyan, released in theaters today, and it turned out to be a festival for fans. Director Sujeeth packed the film with complete fan-worthy moments throughout. That is why the fans want OG 2 before Pawan Kalyan says goodbye to the films.

For sure, the opinion of the neutral audiences and other heroes’ fans might be different about the film, but for fans, it is a cult film that showcased Pawan Kalyan at his best.

Sujeeth concluded the film with a dramatic elevation of the hero and a cliffhanger hinting at a sequel. Additionally, several aspects of the hero’s past remain unexplored in the first part, increasing the likelihood of a second installment.

Everyone knows that Pawan Kalyan did not commit to any films after Ustaad Bhagat Singh, so PSPK fans and audiences think that doing OG 2 will be a good decision for Pawan Kalyan before he says goodbye to the film.

Fans have already taken to social media, expressing their desire to see Pawan collaborate with Sujeeth, believing that a sequel to OG would be the perfect farewell for their beloved hero.

OG Box Office Records on Day 1

With massive pre-release buzz and hype, Pawan Kalyan breaks records at the box office with OG on day 1, thrilling both fans and the trade alike.

Looking at the current trends, if we look at only the Telugu version, the film will definitely be in the list of Top 3 openings after RRR and Pushpa 2.
