Nizam Clash This Dasara: Dil Raju vs Mythri Movies

Pawan Kalyan’s OG has already been announced for a September 25 release. Rishab Shetty’s Pan-India film, Kantara: Chapter 1, is getting released on October 2. The competition of both films has led to the clash between Dil Raju and Mythri Movies in Nizam this Dasara. 

After Mythri Movies opened the distribution office in Nizam, there was a continuous battle between Dil Raju/Sirish and Mythri. Both the parties have officially expressed their competition and made allegations against each other as well.

For this Dasara, both distributors are again back to clash as Pawan Kalyan’s OG is releasing on 25 September, and the Nizam rights of this film are bought by Dil Raju. Now, Kantara: Chapter 1 is getting released on 2nd October, and rights have been acquired by the Mythri group.

Both OG and Kantara rights were sold for a very big price. So, a big clash between Dil Raju and Mythri Movies in Nizam this Dasara is on, as both teams will definitely fight for screens.

The Tamil movie lovers were extremely happy when the sequel of 96, starring Vijay Sethupathi and Trisha, was announced. However, they would be deeply disappointed, as the sequel is said to be dropped now.

Directed by Prem Kumar, the film is a blockbuster in Kollywood. A few months ago, the director and team announced a sequel for the movie.

But there is a buzz that some creative differences have happened within the team, and the film may not happen. Lately, director Prem Kumar’s official announcement about his next projects confirms that the film, 96 sequel, has been dropped.

Prem Kumar’s Next Projects:

  1. An adventure survival drama with 9 characters.
  2. An action thriller starring Fahadh Faasil in the lead role.
  3. A film where the plot revolves around a love story but without a heroine.

If we observe the above-mentioned list, there is no mention of the second part of 96, so it is confirmed that the sequel plan has dropped.

These days, many top actors are expanding their image across India and even aiming for international audiences. Fans of Pawan Kalyan had high hopes that OG would be his big pan-India blockbuster. However, they are disappointed to learn that the film will not have a wide release in Hindi.

According to the latest updates, OG will not be shown on major Hindi multiplex screens because of its OTT deal. Netflix has acquired the digital rights, and the film will be available for streaming after a four-week theatrical run in all languages.

No Big Release in Hindi for Pawan Kalyan’s OG

As a result, OG will only be released in single-screen theaters and a few local multiplex screens in North India. This is expected to affect its box office performance, since multiplex screens play a major role in the success of Hindi films.

Another reason for the limited reach is that the “They Call Him OG” team is focusing mainly on Telugu promotions and not putting much effort into promoting the film in other languages.

So, while Pawan Kalyan’s OG may perform well in Telugu states, its impact in Hindi and other languages is likely to be small, and the overall box office numbers may be lower due to minimal promotion.
