Hyderabad to Get India’s Second Biggest IMAX

A spectacular cinematic destination is coming to Hyderabad, with a state-of-the-art IMAX theatre set to open near the Hakimpet Air Base. Revealed during the promotions of ‘Kubera’, Asian Suniel shared exciting details about the project, which promises to redefine movie experiences in the city.

The upcoming IMAX will boast a massive 70-foot screen, making it the 2nd largest in the country after the iconic Wadala IMAX in Mumbai. Interestingly, this screen will also surpass the size of PCX, adding to the excitement among filmgoers. The theatre is being developed as a premium single-screen experience, similar to PVR Priya in Delhi, with a direct ground-level entry and an exclusive design focused entirely on one grand auditorium.

In addition to the giant IMAX screen, the ground floor of the building will feature five European-style mini theatres. These smaller screens will offer a boutique viewing experience alongside fine dining restaurants and designer stores, inspired by the ambience of Chennai’s Palazzo cinemas.

With construction expected to be completed in two years, the IMAX is scheduled for a grand opening in 2027. This ambitious project is set to become a major attraction for cinema lovers in Hyderabad and beyond.

Top Distributor, financier, and Producer Suniel Narang has shockingly resigned from his post as President of Telangana State Film Chamber of Commerce. The Producer said that his name was forcefully associated with the public statements, and they are not connected to him.

Suniel Narang said that he was never consulted before making the public statements, and he is not responsible for any actions or comments. He stated that it would be challenging to continue in the role and requested that the Chamber find a suitable successor to ensure the organisation’s smooth functioning.

The Producer’s upcoming film, Kuberaa, is scheduled for release on June 20th worldwide. So, he must have decided to avoid any controversy before the release of his film. But we need to see how the issue of Theatre strikes and the exhibitors demand will be dealt in the future.

Sekhar Kammula’s Kuberaa, starring Dhanush in the lead role and Akkineni Nagarjuna in a crucial role, is all set to arrive in theaters in another two weeks. The film’s producer, Asian Suniel, reveals that Kuberaa’s OTT price is a jackpot deal.

Kuberaa OTT Deal – A Jackpot Deal for the producers

In his latest interview, the renowned producer and distributor Asian Suniel officially revealed that Kuberaa’s digital rights were bought by Prime Video for a price of 47 Cr. This is a very good deal for the makers.

Because the film’s budget is 120 Cr and the makers have recovered 40% of the budget from the digital business. That is why Sekhar Kammua’s Kuberaa’s OTT price is a jackpot deal for them.

OTT Platforms decide the theatrical release dates: Asian Suniel – Kuberaa’s Producer

The producer confirms it has a 28-day theatrical window like other movies, and the producer also said that these days, the OTT platforms control the release dates. The producer wanted to release the film in July.

Because there are still works in progress for the movie on a very tight line, they wanted to take time to release it. But because of the OTT commitment, they have been forced to arrive on 20th June.

Meanwhile, earlier, producer Asian Suniel shocked everyone as he resigned from the post of the Telangana State Film Chamber of Commerce president with immediate effect.

Exhibitors and distributors should not interfere in Hero’s remuneration

0

The Exhibitors/Distributor and Producer war has taken an ugly form in recent times. A Few Distributors also conducted a press meet, officially lambasting the attitude of Actors and Producers. A strike was also called recently to discuss the issues of the theatres, which caused a major controversy.

But one thing which looked odd was these exhibitors deciding the remuneration of the Actors. They objected to Actors receiving huge remuneration, which felt completely unnecessary. The remunerations are offered by Producers, which depend on the markets of the Actors. Sometimes these also involve factors of the OTT and satellite markets apart from theatricals.

So, the Exhibitors and Distributors must have discussions with the Producers and also question their bargaining attitude in quoting higher prices, but not deciding the remuneration of the Actors and budgets of the films.

Allu Arjun’s rise without Rajamouli

Tollywood Actor Allu Arjun is considered one of the Top Actors of the Film Industry. The Actor has also increased his popularity in recent years with his releases in other languages. It was so much so that his recent films, Pushpa and Pushpa 2 became Pan Indian blockbusters, creating a big sensation nationwide. The only celebrity who was able to pull off this feat was Director Rajamouli. ,

Rajamouli became a nationwide sensation with his Baahubali series and continued the same success again with his RRR. The Actors who starred in these films are enjoying this Pan Indian recognition with so much of help coming from Rajamouli through his films. But Allu Arjun remains the only Actor who attained a mind-blowing stardom without Rajamouli.

This is truly a remarkable achievement for Allu Arjun. He is also aiming big to create a never-before-seen phenomenon with Director Atlee. The duo has collaborated on their AA22XA6, which has been announced recently. Bollywood Actress Deepika Padukone has also officially come on board for the film to play the female lead role. There are big expectations for the film, and a huge budget has also been planned for this film.

On the other hand, Rajamouli is busy with his SSMB29, which is in the shoot stage. Allu Arjun and Rajamouli are eyeing to make their mark without collaborating officially, which is very interesting.

So, when the OG team announced the same date, everyone thought the team might have discussed it with the makers of the Balayya-Boyapati film, and the film is getting postponed for real.

Akhanda 2 Producers deny rumors and confirm Dussehra Release

There are still three months, but certainly, if Akhanda 2 sticks to 25th September, it is the OG team’s mistake only, as the former team long ago announced the date, and they could have discussed it with them before announcing the release date.

NBK111: Balakrishna Teams Up with Gopichand Malineni for a Historical Epic

The announcement poster features the fierce image of a raging lion. Half of its face is armored with a metallic shield, while the other half remains open and wild. The striking image is symbolic of the intense duality and raw power of the character that Balakrishna is set to portray in this film.

Director Gopichand Malineni will be delving into historical territory for the very first time. He is crafting a never-seen-before avatar for Balakrishna, with an epic story that promises to blend grandeur, history, and high-octane action. currently in the final stages of pre-production.

Thug Life Box Office: 3 Days Worldwide Collections

0

Kamal Haasan and Mani Ratnam’s Thug Life continues to struggle at the box office after a below-par opening. The film saw a downward trend and never picked up after the talk came out. Thug Life 3 Days Box Office Worldwide Collections are out now.

As said above, the action drama did not have a big day on day 1 in the theaters, as the audiences and critics unanimously criticized it. The movie had a big drop on day 2 and day 3, showing no growth whatsoever.

Thug Life 3 Days Box Office: Packs a below par total

For 3 days, the film has collected 27 Cr in Tamil Nadu, 2 Cr in Kerala, and 3.2 Cr in Kerala, and ROI around 2.25 Cr. Kamal Haasan’s Thug Life 3 Days Box Office Worldwide Collections are out now, and the total India gross is 34.5 Cr.

Overseas gross is estimated around 36 crore, which takes the total gross to 70 Cr. Today is most likely the last good day for the film at the box office.

The Mani Ratnam directorial may not hold good momentum from tomorrow as it sees a big drop at the weekend itself. Now, even crossing the 100 Cr mark in its closing looks tough for the film.

Hari Hara Veera Mallu Needs That Baahubali–Pushpa Level Magic

0

The pan-Indian trend for Telugu cinema started in the last 8 years, and Baahubali and Pushpa are both movies that took this trend to the next level. Pawan Kalyan’s Hari Hara Veera Mallu needs Baahubali–Pushpa-level magic now.

Financial Hurdles led to the postponement of Hari Hara Veera Mallu

It is widely known that Hari Hara Veera Mallu—Part 1: Sword vs. Spirit was officially postponed, and the team has not announced a new release date till now. It is expected to come out with the film’s trailer.

The financial hurdles are the main reason for the postponement, and the producer, AM Ratnam, is supposed to go into deficit due to the high budget spent on the movie.

Only the magic of Baahubali – Pushpa Level can save Hari Hara Veera Mallu

If a huge amount is spent on a single film, it will be the worst situation for any producer, but HHHVM is a two-part film, and the majority of the shoot of the second part is already completed. So the producer can take a risk of losing some crores to release the first part.

He can sell the first part for moderate prices, and if it works at the theater, the second part can have massive buzz, which will recover his loss with huge profits. That is why Pawan Kalyan’s Hari Hara Veera Mallu needs Baahubali–Pushpa-level magic now.

AM Ratnam has to take a calculated risk to be in a safe position for Hari Hara Veera Mallu

This is not new for Telugu cinema, as the sensational blockbuster series like Baahubali and Pushpa had the same result. The 1st part of both films put the producer in deficit, but after the release, those films worked in other languages, especially in Hindi.

Because of such pan-Indian success, Baahubali and Pushpa created massive buzz for part 2, and everyone knows how big the sequels of the films worked and brought massive profits for the makers.

A result like Indian 2 can put Hari Hara Veera Mallu in danger

So, if AM Ratnam, as a producer, wants to go safe with part 1 itself by selling the rights, it is not possible at this moment, as there is a huge difference between his quoted prices and distributors’ offers. He should sell the rights for moderate prices.

But the major risk is, if part 1 fails, then the producer will be in a complete mess. For example, Indian 2 faced a massive setback at the box office, and the next part’s release is in doubt because of such failure.

The experienced producer AM Ratnam needs to take a calculated risk to get rid of this situation, but the irony is, there is no guarantee that his risk will pay off.
