Will Kushi Save AM Ratnam?

Producer A.M. Ratnam faced huge losses with Pawan Kalyan’s Hari Hara Veera Mallu, as the film faced multiple delays in the filming stage and ended as a big disaster at the box office. Now AM Ratnam has put his hopes on Vijay’s Kushi re-release. 

Once upon a time, Ratnam was one of the biggest producers in Indian cinema, but he has been in a dire situation for the past few years, and as said above, with the result of Hari Hara Veera Mallu, he faced big financial trouble.

AM Ratnam bets no Vijay’s Kushi Re-Release

Now to recover a bit from his financial woes, AM Ratnam is set to re-release Vijay’s Kushi. Everyone knows that the film’s Telugu version with Pawan Kalyan is a huge blockbuster, but the Tamil version, which came before, is also a sensational hit starring Vijay and Jyothika.

The film is all set to be re-released on 25th September, with Sakhti Film Factory releasing it. Vijay’s Ghilli re-release last year worked massively and collected more than 30 Cr gross, and if Kushi also gathers the same range of collections, then it will be a slight relief to AM Rathnam.

Lenin Postponed – Not this December but Summer 2026

The total Telugu states gross of Mirai on the first weekend is around 36.5 Cr, and coming to the rest of India, Karnataka gross is 5 Cr, while Tamil Nadu and Kerala combined gross 1.5 Cr. The North India gross is 10 Cr, which takes the total all-India gross to 53 Cr.

In North America the film has collected $1.7 million for the weekend, with the rest of the world’s total estimated around $450K. So, the total overseas gross is 19 Cr. 

Overall, the Karthik Gattamneni directorial total worldwide gross for the weekend is 72 cr, which is a huge one for the film, and it maintains similar range collections of 24 Cr for all 3 days.

The horror thriller Kishkindhapuri has a very good weekend despite facing the Mirai storm. It received average to decent reviews and showed a good hold and now heads towards a blockbuster.

The film saw a 11.5 Cr+ weekend at the box office, and today the film is holding super strong. The collections are on par with opening day, which means Kishkindhapuri is all set to become a blockbuster, as it will achieve the breakeven mark of 15 Cr gross by Wednesday itself.
