0

Lokah: Chapter 1 – Chandra has received a strong and mostly positive response from audiences across India. The film now crosses the 75 Cr mark at the Kerala box office.

Directed by Dominic Arun, Lokah becomes the 7th film to cross the 75 Cr mark in Kerala. Also, the all-time Top 2 finish and 100 Cr gross are guaranteed in the full run. Here’s the list of the top grossers of Kerala.

Thudarum – 119 Cr
2018 Movie – 89 Cr
Empuraan – 86 Cr
Aadujeevitham – 79 Cr
Pulimurugan – 78.5 Cr
Aavesham – 76 Cr
Lokah – 75 Cr

Lokah crosses the 75 Cr mark in Kerala, and it will become the top 2 film in Kerala and worldwide by this weekend.

This Malayalam superhero film has collected around 215 crore gross for 15 days, and it is heading towards being the industry’s biggest grosser.

Produced by Dulquer Salmaan, the film is the first film in the Wayfarer Cinematic Universe, and the makers also stated that there are four more parts arriving in the coming years.

Lokesh Kanagaraj Loses Faith of Top Stars

0

Director Lokesh Kanagaraj made a good impression among Tamil and Telugu audiences in recent years. However, his recent release, Coolie, has changed his image. Lokesh Kanagaraj loses the faith of top stars now.

Till Vikram (2022) there were no complaints about Lokesh, and everyone believed that he was the best at presenting star heroes on the big screen. In Master, apart from the film’s lead, Vijay, even the character of Vijay Sethupathi also worked massively.

Similarly, in the Vikram movie, along with the character of Kamal Haasan, Fahad Faasil, Vijay Sethupathi, and mainly Suriya’s Rolex glimpse worked brilliantly and enthralled fans.

Because of that impact, Tamil and Telugu movie fans said that Lokesh is one such director who presents stars in the best way. But after Vikram, in Leo, the way the director handled the characters of Arjun and Sanjay Dutt resulted in a big dissatisfaction among audiences.

Many felt that the portrayal of both characters was very weak, and during a recent press meet, Sanjay Dutt also expressed his disappointment about his character.

Now, the same thing happened with Rajinikanth’s Coolie. Stars like Nagarjuna, Upendra, and Aamir Khan appeared in the film, but the thing is all the fans and audiences are not at all happy with the characterizations and portrayal of the above-mentioned stars.

With this, definitely, it’s not easy for Lokesh Kangaraj to pull big stars for important roles in his next films.

Teja Sajja Inspires Tier 2 Heroes

0

Actor Teja Sajja scored an unbelievable blockbuster at the box office last year with Hanu-Man. Lately, he released another film, Mirai, which is on course to become a super-duper hit. Teja Sajja inspires tier-2 heroes with his success formula.

Nowadays, doing films with Tier-2 heroes is riskier for producers, as for most of the films, business is not happening as they expect, and they are ending up with huge losses. Even big producers like Dil Raju, Mythri Movies, and many other producers are struggling to score hits.

In tier-2 heroes, except for Nani, no one is consistently delivering success. But Reja Sajja is showing how big we can get at the box office with the right selection of projects and catching the audience’s pulse.

The actor’s previous film, Hanuman, became the biggest grosser in medium-budget films. Now Mirai is trending on a rampage note, and it has been declared as a blockbuster already.

His next film, Zombie Reddy 2, will also have a huge craze. Along with selecting the right kind of scripts, Teja Sajja also does well on the marketing side. He goes all out to promote his movie in Telugu states and all languages as well.

Definitely Tier 2 heroes need to look at Teja Sajja for the selection of movies and how to market film overall.

Paradha Available Now on OTT

0

Anupama Parameswaran’s Paradha was released in theaters in August and did not do very well at the box office. Within just 3 weeks the film hit OTT, and now it is streaming on Prime Video in Telugu and Malayalam.

Directed by Praveen Kandregula, the film received positive reviews upon its theatrical release, but somehow it could not generate much revenue at the box office. Anupama Parameswaran’s performance is expected to get a good response as Paradha arrives on OTT now.

Paradha arrives on OTT: Here are the details of the movie’s plot

In the village of Padathi, a strict custom dictates that every woman must wear a veil, only allowing family members to see their faces. This tradition is enforced by the fear of a curse from the village goddess, Jwalamma, which threatens dire consequences for those who defy it.

The story follows Subba Lakshmi (Subbu), portrayed by Anupama Parameswaran, who embodies obedience to these customs. However, her life takes a dramatic turn when an unexpected event challenges her adherence to these traditions.

Trade Predicts KGF2-Level Rampage for Kantara Chapter One

0

Kantara Chapter One, the prequel to the pan-Indian blockbuster Kantara (2022), is having a superb craze across Indian languages. The film’s business deals are massive, and the trade predicts a KGF-2-level rampage for Kantara Chapter One.

If we see only part one collections, Kantara is bigger than KGF, but the sequel of KGF created a sensation with 1200 Cr gross approx. worldwide. Though the Kantara prequel has good craze, many audiences feel that it cannot touch the numbers of KGF Chapter 2.

Massive Expectations on Kantara Chapter One Box Office Numbers

But the trade thinks differently, as it predicts that Kantara Chapter One will collect on the level of KGF 2. The film’s Telugu state business stuns everyone, as the makers are said to have taken a 100 Cr ratio for advances from the buyers.

They expect that the film will do 100 Cr, despite getting released in competition with Pawan Kalyan’s OG.

Even in Tamil Nadu, the business ratio is said to be 32 Cr, which seems much higher than Dhanush’s Idly Kadai, which is releasing during the same period.

We need to wait for the trailer to know whether the Kanara prequel will be able to meet the expectations around it.

Songs Removed From Mirai

0

Teja Sajja and Karthik Gattamneni’s Mirai has been released in theaters worldwide amidst positive buzz, and the response to the film is superb. While the adventurous film is going great at the box office, fans observe that the songs have been removed from Mirai.

The first single of the film, Vibe Undhi, starring Ritika Nayak and Teja, received a good response and brought the initial buzz to the movie. But when the film finally arrived in theaters, the song was completely missing from the movie.

Two Songs Removed from Mirai Movie

It is being said that the makers decided not to put the song in, as they thought it would disturb the mood of the film, and even audiences say that given the characterization of Ritika Nayak, the song would not have been in sync with the film’s narrative.

Vibe Undi Song From Mirai

Also, there is another special song in the film starring Nidhhi Agerwal alongside Teja Sajja, which was also not a part of the movie.

So, two songs have been removed from Teja Sajja’s Mirai, and surprisingly, the audiences did not feel the difference due to the gripping narration and enjoyed the film to the fullest.

Mirai Box Office: Thumping Start with Huge Collections

0

Karthik Gattamneni’s Mirai’s promotional content created a superb buzz on the film, and it witnessed very good pre-bookings. As it opens with unanimous positive WOM and reviews, Mirai is off to a thumping start at the box office with huge collections.

The special shows and noon shows registered house fulls in many theaters, and all shows opened with strong occupancies. There were expectations that the film might open with a double-digit gross, but now the expectations are at a double-digit opening-day share, which shows the phenomenal growth in the numbers.

Mirai starts its first day at the box office with huge collections, and the advances look super strong already for the weekend as well, with a massive total on the cards. The makers released the film with just taking advances from distributors, and now their risk is paying off.

The trade expects this adventure fantasy film to do 100 Cr+ gross in its full run, and if it clicks well in Hindi, then the number could go higher, blogger.

Mirai Movie Review: A Well-Made Adventurous Ride

0

Movie Name: Mirai
Rating: 3.25/5
Cast:
Teja Sajja, Manoj Manchu, Ritika Nayak, Shriya Saran, Jayaram, Jagapathi Babu, and Others
Director: Karthik Gattamneni
Produced By:
 T.G. Vishwa Prasad, Krithi Prasad
Release Date: 12th September 2025

Teja Sajja makes a comeback with Mirai, an action-adventure fantasy full of spectacle and excitement, after the huge success of Hanu-Man. Directed by Karthik Gattamneni, the film has developed good craze among audiences. Here is our review of Mirai, which had already started to shatter the box office with superb bookings.

Story:

Mirai is a fantasy adventure film directed by Karthik Gattamneni, blending mythology with emotion and action. The story follows Mahabir Lama (Manchu Manoj), also known as The Black Sword, a ruthless man who wants to collect nine ancient books protected by Emperor Ashoka’s loyal guardians. These books hold the secret to immortality and world domination.

To stop him, Ambica (Shriya Saran), the guardian of the ninth book, makes a painful decision: she leaves her son, Vedha Prajapathi (Teja Sajja), as an orphan. The rest of the film shows how Vedha discovers his true purpose and fights to protect the world from Mahabir

Performances:

Teja Sajja fits well into the role of Vedha and delivers a convincing performance, especially in emotional scenes. Manchu Manoj is effective as the villain, though some of his dialogue is hard to hear. Ritika Nayak plays a unique female lead and does well, while Shriya Saran leaves a strong impact in her key role. Jayaram and Jagapathi Babu make their presence felt, and Getup Srinu adds some comic relief.

Analysis:

Karthik Gattamneni’s Mirai begins with an engaging setup, introducing the nine books and their importance. After that, the pace slows down and feels a bit routine. However, things pick up when the villains begin their chase and Vedha’s identity is revealed. The pre-interval sequence of “Sampathi” stands out.

The second half has a few slow moments, but the emotional storyline around Ambica works well. The fight at Siddha Kshetram between Vedha and the villains is visually impressive. The backstory of Ambica and Mahabir adds emotional depth, and the final showdown is satisfying with a divine touch at its fag end. The visuals are strong (with a few rough spots), and Gowra Hari’s background score enhances the experience.

Mirai does have a few flaws. The comedy scenes with the Hyderabad backdrop and the scenes where the heroine tries to make the hero realize his powers feel predictable and familiar. The comedy track featuring directors Venkatesh Maha and Kishore Tirumala as policemen in the second half seems unnecessary.

Positives:

  • Exciting Main Plot
  • Action/Thrillling Sequences
  • Emotional Scenes/Dialogues
  • Technical Elements Click Perfectly

Negatives:

  • A Few Odd Moments In The First Half
  • Slow Parts Here And There
  • The Lord Rama Angle Could Have Been Explored Better

Mirai Movie Review and Verdict:

Despite some routine moments in the first half, Karthik Gattamneni’s Mirai is a well-crafted adventure with an engaging plot, solid performances, and strong technical quality. It’s worth watching for its mix of fantasy and emotional storytelling.

Kishkindhapuri Movie Review: A Standard Thriller With Some Interesting Parts

0

Movie Name: Kishkindhapuri
Rating: 2.75/5
Cast:
Bellamkonda Sai Srinivas, Anupama Parameswaran, Taniklla Bharani, Hyper Aadi, Sudarshan, Makarand Deshpande, Srikanth Iyyengar and Others
Director: Kaushik Pegallapati
Produced By:
 Sahu Garapati
Release Date: 12th September 2025

Kishkindhapuri is a new horror thriller starring Bellamkonda Sai Sreenivas and Anupama Parameswaran. Confident in the film’s content, the team held paid premieres in Telugu states before its official release. The response from those shows has been mostly positive. Let’s take a closer look at the film.

Story:

Raghav (Bellamkonda Sreenivas) and Mythili (Anupama Parameswaran) work as ghost tour guides in Kishkindhapuri. They take tourists to abandoned mansions and share spooky stories. One day, Raghav and the tourist group choose an old radio station called Suvarna Maya for their tour. Things take a scary turn when a real ghost shows up and starts killing the visitors. The rest of the story follows how Raghav tries to save everyone and uncovers the ghost’s past.

Performances:

Bellamkonda Sai Sreenivas performs well in the lead role. His character has some unique traits, especially in the final scenes, though he could have done better in parts. Anupama Parameswaran is decent as the female lead. Supporting actors like Tanikella Bharani, Prema, Hyper Aadi, Sudarshan, Makarand Deshpande, and Srikanth Iyyengar do justice to their roles.

Analysis:

Director Kaushik Pegallapati spends the first 10 minutes setting up the story. The hero’s introduction is routine, and the comedy scenes where the team takes tourists to haunted places work in some parts but aren’t very special.

The killing scenes could have been more thrilling, and the real excitement begins near the interval, when the hero discovers the ghost’s truth and challenges it. The second half dives into the ghost’s backstory, with emotional scenes involving the mother sentiment.

While the story isn’t very new, Kaushik’s way of presenting it is impressive. The pace slows down briefly but picks up again with a final reveal. However, the climax feels predictable, and a stronger ending could have made the film more impactful

Positives:

  • Initial Setup
  • Ghost Backstory
  • Few Thrilling Moments
  • Chaitan Bharadwaj’s Music

Negatives:

  • Ineffective Scenes of Hero and Gang in the first half
  • Misses Required Thrill During The Scary Moments
  • Not So Strong Climax

Kiskindhapuri Movie Review and Verdict:

Overall, Kishkindhapuri is a decent horror thriller. It has a strong start, a few enjoyable twists, and a solid second half. But the usual jump scares and a bit underwhelming climax hold it back from being truly memorable.

Little Hearts 1st Week Box Office Collections Are 10 Times the Budget

0

Little Hearts performed exceptionally well at the box office in its first week, and it is undoubtedly one of the unexpected blockbusters of Tollywood. The youthful entertainer’s collections are 10 times more than the budget.

The film was initially planned for a direct OTT release. But with the confidence in the output, Bunny Vas and Vamsi bought the theatrical rights for 2.5 Cr and released the film in theaters.

Little Hearts has a budget of 2.45 Cr, and the movie’s first-week collections are almost 10 times its budget. Very rarely can we see this type of phenomenal performance in the industry.

The film is expected to have a good 2nd weekend as well, despite the arrival of new films Mirai and Kishkindhapuri in theaters. The trade expects it to do more than 35 Cr gross in its full run.
