Ravi Teja, who recently faced a big failure with Mass Jathara, is all set to come up before audiences with his next film, RT 76, which has been announced to be released during Sankranthi 2026, spicing up the already hectic competition at the box office.

Sankranthi 2026 is already packed with multiple films, such as Prabhas’s The Raja Saab, Chiranjeevi’s Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu, Naveen Polishetty’s Anagana Oka Raju, and Sharwannad’s Nari Nari Naduma Murari, along with the Tamil dubbed films Jana Nayagan and Parasakthi.

Ravi Teja’s 76th Film to be released on Sankranthi 2026

When Ravi Teja announced his film for Sankranthi 2026, everyone anticipated a postponement due to the intense competition. But RT 76 is not at all moving from Sankranthi, and the team announced that the first look and the title of the film will be revealed tomorrow at 3:33 PM.

Known for films like Nenu Sailaja and Unnadhi Okate Zindagi, Kishore Tirumala directs this family entertainer, which is being produced by SLV Cinemas, and Bheems Ciceroleo composes the music.

The movie’s title is rumored to be “Bhakta Mahasayulaku Vignapti,” and the makers have given a clue about it in the announcement poster itself.

Jana Nayagan’s Business Once Agan Proves The Stardom Of Vijay

With audio rights, the pre-business of the film already crosses 300 Cr, and if we add the Karnataka rights, satellite rights, and North India and Telugu states theatrical business, Jana Nayagan will easily do around 400 Cr overall business.

Ravi Teja’s latest film, Mass Jathara, was released in theaters last week, and the film received unanimous negative reviews, resulting in a big failure at the box office. The film is now eyeing an early OTT premiere.

Mass Jathara was expected to bring vintage Ravi Teja on screen, and it also had paid premieres before the release day, which led to unanimous negative reviews from audiences and critics. The weekend itself ended the film’s theatrical run at the box office.

According to the initial plan, Mass Jathara was all set to stream on Netflix from 28th November, but there is a buzz that it might hit sooner than expected. There are chances for the 21st November OTT release of this film.

The film was directed by Bhanu Bhogavarapu, who made his debut as a director, and it stars Sree Leela as the female lead, with the music being scored by Bheems Ciceroleo.

Telusu Kada, one of this year’s Diwali releases, features Siddu Jonnalagadda, Raashii Khanna, and Srinidhi Shetty in the lead roles. The film marks the directorial debut of Neeraja Kona, and has now been officially added to Netflix’s streaming library.

The romantic drama will be available to stream on November 14, 2025, in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam. The story revolves around the sensitive theme of surrogacy, where a man chooses his ex-lover as the surrogate mother for his child.

During its theatrical run, Telusu Kada received mixed reviews. While some viewers appreciated the performances and a few emotional scenes, others felt the film lacked impact. However, the makers are hopeful that the film will perform better on OTT.

Netflix has also acquired the digital rights for Dude and Bison, but the platform has not yet announced their streaming dates.

The Girlfriend Turns Out to Be a Profitable Venture

Rashmika Mandanna’s The Girlfriend, the romantic drama, was released in theaters this week, and it turns out to be a profitable venture for the makers.

The film was made on a budget of around 25 Cr. Normally, this is a very risky amount for the genre, a female lead film.

But with Rashmika’s brand power, Rahul Ravindran’s directorial and Allu Aravind’s production did record deals for non-theatrical rights.

Netflix bought the OTT rights for 14 Cr, while the Hindi dubbing and satellite rights are sold for 7 Cr.

With this, even before the release, the film puts the producer in a very comfortable position, as it achieves over 80% recovery Coming to the theatrical business, the film is doing very well at the box office, and by today it will cross the 10 Cr gross mark, and it is expected to do over 25 Cr gross in its full run.

With these, Rashmika Mandanna’s The Girlfriend emerges as a very good, profitable venture for makers. If the movie does well in theaters in the coming days, the profits will be even more.

The Girlfriend and Pre Wedding Show Score Well Over the Weekend

0

Nowadays, if audiences are not interested in watching a movie, it does not open with appropriate numbers, which has happened with this weekend’s releases, as they opened with very low collections. But The Girlfriend and The Pre Wedding Show see impressive jumps in collections.

After a moderate day 1, Rashmika’s The Girlfriend witnessed a superb jump on Day 2, and the collections are over 50% higher than the opening day worldwide. The jump in the domestic market is almost double as well. Today is expected to be much bigger, with the film heading towards a double-digit gross weekend.

Thiruveer’s The Great Pre-Wedding Show also witnessed more than double the jump on Day 2 compared to Day 1 with the help of good word of mouth, and today, it is expected to grow even bigger.

Normally, pulling audiences for such small films is very tough, but with positive word of mouth, now, the film is heading towards commercial success.

Overall, both The Girlfriend and The Great Pre-Wedding Show showed a good increase in collections on the second day, much to the happiness of the theater owners in Telugu states.

Tamil Audiences Believe Jana Nayagan Is a Remake After First Single

0

Ever since its announcement, there have been constant rumors that Vijay’s Jana Nayagan is an official remake of the Telugu film Bhagavanth Kesari. However, the makers have repeatedly denied these claims.

They stated that only a few scenes were inspired by Bhagavanth Kesari, especially the one discussing “Good Touch and Bad Touch” with women. Fans and audiences believed the makers’ words since the film was also being released in Telugu.

Fans were very particular that Jana Nayagan should not be a remake, as it is Vijay’s last film as a hero.

Recently, the first single from the film, composed by Anirudh, was released. After watching the visuals in the song, many fans and viewers now strongly feel that Jana Nayagan is indeed a remake of Bhagavanth Kesari. This belief grew stronger because Mamitha Baiju’s outfit in the song looked exactly like Sreeleela’s attire in Bhagavanth Kesari.

Now, everyone is waiting to see if the makers will officially confirm the truth. If it turns out to be a remake, releasing it in Telugu might not be a good idea, as the audience there has already watched the original.

Dies Irae Movie Review: A Decent Slow-Burn Horror Thriller

0

Movie Name: Dies Irae
Rating: 2.75/5
Cast:
Pranav Mohanlal, Sushmita Bhatt, Gibin Gopinath, Jaya Kurup, and others
Director: Rahul Sadasivan
Produced By:
 Chakravarthy Ramachandra and S. Sashikanth
Release Date: 7th November 2025

Dies Irae, starring Pranav Mohanlal and directed by Rahul Sadasivan, has already become a superhit in Malayalam. Now, the film arrives in Telugu, just a week after its original release. Does it live up to the hype, and what message does it aim to convey? Here’s our review.

Story:

Dies Irae follows the story of Rohan, the son of a wealthy man and a successful architect, who lives a carefree and happy life. His world turns upside down when he learns that his ex-girlfriend Kani (played by Sushmitha Bhatt) has died by suicide. After visiting her house, Rohan begins to experience strange and unsettling events in his own home. The rest of the film explores how Rohan uncovers the truth about Kani’s past and the unexpected twists that follow.

Performances:

Pranav Mohanlal is convincing as Rohan and delivers a solid performance. He handles the tense and emotional scenes with ease. Gibin Gopinath stands out in a key supporting role, while the rest of the cast performs decently.

Analysis:

Director Rahul Sadasivan adds a psychological layer to the horror genre. The film starts slowly, with the first 20–30 minutes feeling quite ordinary. However, the suspense builds once Rohan senses a mysterious presence in his house. Some of the jump scares are effective, and the interval twist adds to the intrigue.

The second half includes a few genuinely chilling moments that leave an impact. Still, the film struggles with a predictable storyline and familiar plot points. While the director tries to present the story freshly, the narrative remains routine. The backstory and a key twist in the latter half are handled well, and the climax is also alright, but the typical horror-style cliffhanger at the end feels unnecessary.

Positives:

  • Performances
  • Jump Scares/Thrilling Scenes
  • Background Music/Visuals

Negatives:

  • Predictable Scenes/Moments
  • A Few Unanswered Questions Regarding The Ghost

Dies Irae Review and Verdict:

In conclusion, Dies Irae is a decent, slow-paced horror thriller with strong technical quality and a few well-executed scares. Although it lacks surprises and moves at a relaxed pace, it may still appeal to fans of the genre.
