Indra fails to beat Murari

Murari re-released on the occasion of Mahesh Babu’s birthday. The film broke many records in re-release segment and emerged as the highest grossing re-released film. Recently, Indra was planned for a re-release on Chiranjeevi’s birthday i.e., yesterday. The film evoked big response but failed to beat Murari’s record.

Indra was an Industry hit released in 2002 and also revived the career of Chiranjeevi who was suffering with set backs. The film enjoys much popularity on TV as well with many dialogues and scenes still popular. Many thought the film has all the chances of beating Murari but it didn’t happen. Indra grossed 3 crores on the opening day. This is however considered a record in senior heroes’ re-released films category. Murari collected more than 5 crores gross on the opening day which is double the gross of Indra.

We have to see which film would break this Murari record. Mass starring Nagarjuna is being planned for release on 28th August. It is expected to open with good numbers but it may not reach Murari’s range. All eyes are on Gabbar Singh re-release which is being planned on Pawan Kalyan’s Birthday. Only this film has the potential to break Murari’s record.

Ram Charan-Buchi Babu film is a comedy film?

Tollywood Actor Ram Charan has officially commenced his upcoming film with Buchi Babu Sana, fame of Uppena. The film’s opening ceremony took place with all the important cast and crew present. The film is also tentatively titled RC16. No one knows the exact genre of the film till now. But it is learned that this Ram Charan and Buchi Babu’s film might be a comedy based film.

Ram Charan while speaking in an interview shared this detail regarding the film. The interviewer asked him if there was any genre he was interested at and Ram Charan replied that he hadn’t done a comedy based film yet. He also said that the upcoming film with Buchi Babu will be on those lines. This has shocked everyone now as many felt that this film would be a rustic drama.

Going by Ram Charan’s words, this film would follow his earlier film Rangasthalam it seems. The film also concentrates mostly on comedy and has a village drama. It has been rumoured that RC16 will also be a sports related project. So we have to wait and see how the film turns out. On the other hand, Ram Charan has wrapped up his shoot part in his current film, Game Changer. The film is speculated to release this Christmas.

Actress Megha Akash got engaged to her long-time love Saai Vishnu in a traditional ceremony on August 22. She shared some beautiful photos from their engagement ceremony and called him ‘the love of her life’. Reportedly, Megha and Vishnu have been dating for quite some time. The couple managed to keep their relationship under wraps until now.

The private ceremony was attended by close family and friends, marking a beautiful milestone in their 6-year relationship. Megha Akash and Saai Vishnu are planning to tie the knot towards the end of the year.

Tollywood Actor, Pawan Kalyan also leads a political party, Janasena. His party became successful recently in AP Assembly Elections and subsequently Pawan Kalyan became the Deputy Chief Minister of AP. He attended a gathering today where he spoke that one Chiranjeevi’s film stopped him from becoming Home Minister. This became very interesting now.

Pawan Kalyan said that people wanted him to take charge as Home Minister but instead opted for Gram Panchayat Ministry and Deputy CM post. He referred to Rudraveena, a film of Chiranjeevi which was inspired from Anna Hazare who revolutioned his hometown being a Sarpanch there. His lifestory was made as a film with Rudraveena. Now, Pawan Kalyan said that if we follow the same principles of Anna Hazare then we can tranform every panchayat and develop the state on a whole.

So this was the reason behind Pawan Kalyan choosing Gram Panchayat Ministry. Many wondered why he didn’t choose Home Ministry but now the Actor cum politician answered their doubt. The Actor is currently busy with his political activities and he will start shooting for his upcoming films soon. OG is already in line and Hari Hara Veera mallu, Ustaad Bhagat Singh will also begin shooting soon.

Pawan Kalyan Gears Up for Comeback

Due to his active involvement in election campaigns and ministerial duties, Pawan Kalyan has been away from movie shoots for the past few months. After a long gap, Power Star is all set to make a comeback to movies.

The next schedule of OG will start in September and Pawan Kalyan has confirmed that he is joining this schedule. He is planning to complete both OG and Hari Hara Veera Mallu shooting by this year’s end.  Both these films need fewer dates of the Power Star while other works are continuously progressing. OG and Hari Hara Veera Mallu will be released next year. OG is expected to release first in the early summer of 2025.

Amidst all this, the only film in a tough position is Harish Shankar’s Ustaad Bhagat Singh where the film needs a massive number of Pawan Kalyan’s dates. Apart from this, the Mr Bachchan effect has also made this film the least desired film for even Pawan Kalyan fans. It needs to see what decision the team will take on this project

Yesterday, Tamil Actor Vijay launched his Political Party’s flag amidst big hype. The Actor launched his political party months ago but took time in releasing the party’s flag. It finally happened yesterday. The Actor hoisted the flag at the party’s headquarters in Chennai. Renowned Music Director, SS Thaman has composed the music for this TVK song. The song had electrifying music composed by him alongwith Vijay’s visuals and other details.

Thaman recently worked for Vijay’s Varisu and gave chartbuster songs as well. He must have been approached once again for the same job where he looks succeeded. The song, as said provided the necessary buzz for Vijay’s political party, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam, shortly TVK. The Flag Anthem also presented Vijay in a political avatar. The song has garnered more than 2 Million Views in 24 hours with more than 300K Likes. This is an amazing response for a Political song.

Many celebrities from the Tamil Film Industry have wished for the success of Vijay. The Actor will be working for one last film apart from The GOAT which is getting ready for release this 5th September. This final film will be directed by H. Indra 4K: Surprising Opening

The re-release of legendary Tollywood films is sweeping the nation. The latest to join the bandwagon is Megastar Chiranjeevi’s legendary film Indra, which was re released on his birthday. Despite having a midweek release, Indra has seized the box office by storm, playing to packed houses on 380 screens throughout AP and Telangana.

As Indra was a mass film, It’s expected to take big openings in mass centers and decent openings in overseas and Big cities. But surprisingly Indra 4K, a mass film, performed well overseas and in major cities such as Hyderbad and Bangalore. However, it underperformed at mass stations . Overall, the openings for the movie were good. The audience enjoyed the magic of Indra on big screens.

In overseas the film is now sets a record for rereleases, the film opens with 60K in USA and which is bigger than all rereleases full run gross. In Hyderabad the film has good start, But underperformed in districts. In Andhra all areas numbers are a bit disappointing. Surprising is that Recent re-release Murari collected 35L gross in ceeded whereas Indra collected around 27L gross. In Telugu states all areas Indra falls behind Murari. But in overseas and ROI it collected more than Murari.

Overall Indra has a surprising and excellent openings. The opening day gross is around 3.25 Cr which is record opener in senior star re-releases. The next big rereleases are Mass and Gabbar Singh

Watch Raayan Now Streaming

Kalki 2898 AD OTT disappoints

Kalki 2898 AD recent film of Prabhas made its OTT arrival today on Netflix and Amazon Prime Video. The film became a blockbuster by grossing more than 1000 crores worldwide. Normally OTT releases will have an extended version attached to the original theatrical version. But Kalki 2898 AD OTT streaming has disappointed the fans and audience with its trimmed version.

Kalki 2898 AD has been trimmed by 6 minutes to everyone’s surprise. The original runtime of the film is 181 minutes i.e., 3 hours and 1 minute. But runtime in both Amazon Prime Video and Netflix was only 175 minutes i.e., 2 hours and 55 minutes. This trimmed version had abrupt cuts which jumps to other scenes hastily. This is definitely disappointing. No one knows who was behind this.

There is also no logic behind this cut version. No one complained about the length of Kalki 2898 AD as well. And moreover, a film which became a unanimous blockbuster doesn’t need such trimming on the OTT platform to make it crisp. This also makes people who didn’t watch the film in the theatres miss out on those trimmed scenes. Let’s hope that these OTT platforms retain those trimmed scenes in the film.

Suriya beats Ajith

Tamil Actor, Suriya has not experienced a big hit in the recent times. The Actor still continues as a top Actor in Kollywood. Likewise, Kanguva is giving him a massive push and even showing his craze. The film is doing tremendous business both theatrical and non-theatrical. Suriya has even gone further by beating his counterpart Ajith Kumar in this segment.

The overseas rights of Kanguva are sold for 40 crores. Tamil Nadu business is expected to be done in the ratio of 70 crores. Kerala numbers are 10 crores. Telugu States business is likely to be around 25 crores. All these numbers are huge and very big for Suriya’s standards. These numbers are expected only for Vijay, Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan films. But now Suriya too joined this list with Kanguva by beating Ajith. If Kanguva achieves a positive word of mouth then Suriya will definitely show his box office stamina in all these territories.

Kanguva’s Hindi all rights i.e., digital, Satellite and Theatrical are sold for 100 crores. South Indian Digital rights are boughty by Amazon Prime Video for 80 crores. The total theatrical and non-theatrical business of the film will be around 400 crores which is just stunning. So, let’s wait for 10th October to witness the fate of Kanguva.
