The much-awaited update on #Thalaivar173 is finally here. Taking to his official X handle, Kamal Haasan unveiled the film’s title as Dharman. Accompanied by the intriguing tagline, “The Deadly Doctor”, the film is written and directed by Ashwath Marimuthu, who shot to fame with the blockbuster Dragon (2025).
The project has generated massive excitement among fans for multiple reasons. Most notably, it marks the reunion of the legendary Rajinikanth-Kamal Haasan duo after several decades. The collaboration has been eagerly anticipated ever since the film was announced, making Dharman one of the most talked-about Tamil projects currently in development.
Interestingly, filmmaker Lokesh Kanagaraj was initially rumored to direct the project. However, those plans reportedly did not materialize, paving the way for Ashwath Marimuthu to take charge. Adding to the anticipation, Anirudh Ravichander has been signed on to compose the music, while acclaimed stunt duo Anbariv will oversee the action sequences.
