Lokesh Kanagaraj’s Birthday brings double disappointment

0

Lokesh Kanagaraj and Rajinikanth’s upcoming movie Coolie’s teaser cut was completed back, and there have been many reports that it will be released on the director’s birthday, i.e., 14th March. However, Lokesh Kanagaraj’s birthday brings double disappointment.

The team of Coolie did not announce the release date of the film yet. So, everyone expected that the film’s teaser would be out today and that it would also reveal the release date. However, Lokesh Kanagaraj’s birthday brings double disappointment, as only working stills were released today, which did not satisfy the fans and audiences.

Reason for Coolie’s Teaser Delay:

As the makers of Coolie are yet to lock the release date, the reason for them doing so is they want a solo release at the pan-India level. But as of now, all the big dates of 2025 are already locked. So, this might be the reason for the team delaying the teaser.

The second disappointment—Kaithi 2 Delay

The second disappointment of Lokesh’s birthday is the missing update on the most awaited Kaithi sequel. Kaithi 2 is said to be delayed again, as it is being said that Lokesh might have to complete another film with Aamir Khan before Kaithi 2.

This will definitely hurt the fans of LCU, as they eagerly awaited the Kaithi 2 release, but it is getting continuously postponed.

Kaithi 2 delayed once again

0

Kaithi, starring Karthi and directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, became a blockbuster at the box office. The film was also made a part of the much famous LCU at the end of the film Vikram. Fans and Audience have been excited about the sequel of Kaithi 2 since then, but it got postponed due to the commitments of Lokesh Kanagaraj for Leo and Coolie.

It was reported recently that Kaithi 2 was planned to take off after the completion of Coolie. But it has been learned that Kaithi 2 has been postponed again to the disappointment of the fans and audience. Lokesh Kanagaraj is yet to make a decision about his next film after Coolie. It is rumoured that he may collaborate with Aamir Khan.

Aamir Khan has already been cast for a guest appearance role in Coolie. Today, Aamir Khan celebrates his birthday and Lokesh Kanagaraj has wished him on the occasion on his X/Twitter handle. So, netizens believe that he may go on board with Aamir Khan for a film next. On the other hand, Karthi is already busy with multiple films this year. He has already started the dubbing works of his Sardar 2 and lined up #Karthi29 directed by Tamizh. So, Kaithi 2 can start only from 2026 summer.

Court – State vs A No Body Day 1 Box office: On fire with a double-digit potential

0

Court starring Priyadarshi started with a sensational start from the Premieres. In India, all the paid premieres registered housefulls and collected more than 50 Lakhs gross. In the USA, it opened with more than $150K premieres meaning that the worldwide premieres grossed more than 2 crores already.

The film released today and secured a unanimous positive review and word of mouth from the premieres. Netizens have also praised the content of the film. So, with a good review and Holiday advantage, court will see a very good jump in the collections. The film is also expected to register a double-digit opening day gross worldwide which is phenomenal for the genre and budget.

Court has already recovered the entire budget with the non-theatrical business. And now with the theatrical performance set for big numbers, Court is surely a jackpot for Nani. He will oversee many such films in the future with this success.

Chhaava Telugu 1st Week Box Office Collections, Total Worldwide Collections

0

The historical action film ‘Chhaava’ had a fantastic start in Telugu states, grossing ₹14 crore. Despite being released three weeks after its Hindi version, the Chhaava has performed well, and trade experts forecast a good hold over the next weekend as well.

However, the delayed Telugu release limited its full potential because many viewers in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana had already seen the Hindi version. A simultaneous release may have generated even better box office statistics.

On the national level, ‘Chhaava’ has been a huge hit. The Hindi version earned ₹500 crore nett in India during its four-week run, for a total of ₹600 crore in gross. The film succeeded well abroad, earning almost ₹100 crore from global markets.

With a worldwide total of around ₹715 crore as of March 13, ‘Chhaava’ is steadily marching towards the ₹750 crore mark in its full run. Given its strong hold at the box office, the film is expected to add more to its impressive collection in the coming weeks, solidifying its status as a blockbuster.

Mega Heroes’ date drama: Vishwambhara to Game Changer to Hari Hara Veera Mallu

0

Vishwambhara starring Chiranjeevi, was initially planned for this year’s Sankranthi but got postponed later. Many felt that the team might have opted out to allow Ram Charan’s Game Changer to occupy the slot. Vishwambhara then locked its release for May 9th and, interestingly, this has been occupied by Hari Hara Veera Mallu starring Pawan Kalyan now.

One thing is clear that Chiranjeevi hasn’t sacrificed the release date of Vishwambhara for Game Changer. It is mainly because of the delay in the shoot and VFX-related works and the non-theatrical business is also yet to close. So, the film may be expected to release only in the August – October slot.

The release period is helping the Mega Heroes greatly as no other biggies are in for a clash for the same release period. But the release date of January 10th didn’t help Ram Charan this year with Game Changer becoming an ultra disaster. So, we need to see how Hari Hara Veera Mallu fares now on May 9th. The film faced many delays in the shoot and has been postponed likewise. Pawan Kalyan is yet to join the shoot, and the team expects to wrap it as soon as possible.

Dilruba Movie Review: Dull and Annoying

0

Movie Name: Dilruba
Rating: 2/5
Cast:
Kiran Abbavaram, Rukshar Dhillon, Nazia Davison, Aadukalam Naren, Tulasi, Satya
Director: Viswa Karun
Produced By:
Saregama, Sivam Celluloids
Release Date: 14th March 2025

Dilruba is a latest romantic entertainer starring Kiran Abbavaram and Ruksar Dhillon in the lead roles. Directed b Viswa Karun, the film had special paid premieres last night and received a decent response. Let’s get to know how it fares in our review.

Story:

After heartbreak, Siddhu (Kiran Abbavaram) looks to start anew. At just the right moment, he discovers Anjali (Rukshar Dhillon) and he falls in love after multiple pursues from her. Things look great until Anjali breaks up with him. What prompts Anjali’s drastic decision? The film centers on Sidhu and Anjali’s love story.

Performances:

Kiran Abbavaram looks fine in some scenes, but because of his character’s behavior lacking the impact, he fails to impress. Rukshar Dhillon looked cute but even her character does not have any depth. Nazia Davison is a miscast, while Aadukalam Naren, Tulasi and Satya were okay.

Analysis:

Viswa Karun directs and writes Dilruba. This love story has a unique protagonist at its heart. However, the hero’s characterization doesn’t come naturally in the film. Instead of being attractive or intriguing, the behavior of the lead appears confusing and irritating.

The narrative also starts on a shaky note by showing the first break-up of the hero in flashes. Even the second and main love track looks to take the proceedings funnily, but the heroine’s character looks annoying, which should have been interesting. A couple of dialogues/scenes along with the interval episode, generate the required interest.

However, the second half starts on a contrived note and the way Hero approaches his love again feels, too. convenient. The villain’s track likewise is forced and misses the intensity. Because of this, the action game between Hero and Villain didn’t impress. The melodrama near the climax again falls flat despite the Pre-climax raising some curiosity.

Positives:

  • Interval Episode
  • Few Scenes/Dialogues in the Second Half

Negatives:

  • Weak Characters/Writing
  • Silly and Dragged Moments
  • Forced Action Sequences
  • Lack of Proper Emotional Impact

Dilruba Movie Review and Verdict:

Overall, Dilruba has its moments but ultimately falls short. Kiran Abbavaram tries to lead the film with his energy, but the narrative is largely dull and lacks the engaging factor.

Summer Belongs to Hari Hara Veera Mallu- Bad News for Nithiin and Nani

0

The much-anticipated film Hari Hara Veera Mallu has an official release date of May 9th, which coincides with the Holi holiday. Along with the announcement, the creators presented a magnificent new poster, which fueled fan excitement. The summer is considered a peak season for blockbuster releases, and with no other Tier-1 star films scheduled for this period, the film has a significant advantage at the box office.

Interestingly, no other significant picture in India will be released on May 9th in many languages. This provides Hari Hara Veera Mallu with a clear runway to maximize its box office potential. If the trailer and songs resonate with the public, the film has a good possibility of breaking records.

However, this announcement could have an impact on Nani’s Hit 3, which is set to be released alongside Retro on May 1st. Already facing competition in its first week, Hit 3 may struggle even more in its second week, when Hari Hara Veera Mallu hits theaters. It remains to be seen whether the Hit 3 developers will change their release plan.

Meanwhile, Nithiin’s Thammudu, which was scheduled to be released on May 9th, may now be postponed. With major blockbusters altering their release dates, the summer box office competition is shaping up to be heated. Fans are excited to see how Hari Hara Veera Mallu fares during this fortunate release window.

Salaar Re-Release Off to a Blockbuster Start in Bookings

0

Prashanth Neel’s Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire is all set for a grand re-release on March 21, and the response has been phenomenal. Despite being a much-anticipated project featuring Prabhas, the film faced some box office setbacks, earning around ₹600 crore worldwide—far from the ₹1000 crore mark many expected. Its Hindi collections were also affected due to competition with Dunki. Even director Prashanth Neel admitted that the film’s theatrical performance did not fully meet his expectations.

However, the film found a much wider audience after its OTT release, leading to skyrocketing anticipation for Salaar 2. The sequel was initially planned to start immediately, but due to Neel’s prior commitments, including his film with Jr. NTR, the project was delayed.
Generally, a film re-releasing within a year without a special occasion doesn’t create much buzz. But Salaar has defied expectations, with its advance bookings off to a record-breaking start.

Limited show bookings opened yesterday, and over 25,000 tickets were sold on BookMyShow within a day. The demand for more screenings is rising, and if this momentum continues, Salaar could break all re-release records.

Court Movie Review: A Gripping Courtroom Drama

0

Movie Name: Court: State Vs. A Nobody
Rating: 3.25/5
Cast:
Priyadarshi, Harsh Roshan, Sridevi, Sivaji, Sai Kumar, Harsha Vardhan, Rohini, Subhalekha Sudhakar, Surabhi Prabhavathi, Rajasekhar Aningi
Director:
Ram Jagadeesh
Produced By:
Prashanti Tipirneni
Release Date: 14th March 2025

Court: State Vs. A Nobody is the latest Telugu courtroom drama featuring Priyadarshi as the lead, backed by Natural Star Nani. The film’s trailer received an excellent response, and the feedback for the special premieres was also great. Let’s see how impressive this film is in our review.

Story:

Court—State Vs. A Nobody tells the story of Chandu (Harsh Roshan), a young boy at risk due to legal problems. The plot delves into the accusations against him under the POCSO Act, Lawyer Teja’s (Priyadarshi) intervention, and the delivery of justice in court.

Performances:

Priyadarshi is perfect in the lawyer role. His body language and dialogue delivery during the court scenes are perfect. Harsh Roshan and Sridevi deliver fine performances. Sivaji steals the show in a negative role and lights up the screen whenever he appears. Sai Kumar was decent and stood out in a small, inspiring scene. Harsha Vardhan, Rohini, Subhalekha Sudhakar, Surabhi Prabhavathi, Rajasekhar Aningi, and others are apt.

Analysis:

Debutant Ram Jagadeesh writes and directs Court—State Vs. A Nobody is a courtroom drama centered on a POCSO case with two young characters. The film needs strong writing, particularly in the courtroom scenes where the drama occurs and the final justice prevails.

The first half starts on a good note by showing the aspirations of a junior lawyer, Teja, played by Priyadarshi. After a neat start, the film delves into the flashback of a teenage love story. The scenes in the love track contribute to the story, but some scenes are way too simplified, along with a terrific introduction for Shivaji. The interval sequence raises the intrigue.

The second half of the film stays true to its title, as the proceedings mostly occur in the court. The arguments between both the lawyers work well, and despite the process of producing witnesses, etc., looking regular, the speediness in the narration is intact and makes audiences involved in the scenes.

The climax is good, where the protagonist talks about the misuse of the POCSO Act and how the teenagers are ignorant of the law at such a tender age. However, the emotional moments after the verdict could have been handled better. Also, the character of the opposing lawyer, Harshavardhan, could have been shown with more intensity. His behaviour /acting looks out of place at a few moments.

Positives:

  • Performances
  • Gripping Screenplay
  • Ending Speech about the misuse of the POCSO act

Negatives:

  • Too simple scenes in the teenage love story
  • Few weakly handled crucial moments in the second half

Court Movie Review and Verdict:

Court—State Vs A Nobody is a well-made and gripping courtroom drama. The powerful performances, tighter narration, and striking dialogues work perfectly for the film. Though there are some ordinary moments in the first half and a few weak scenes in the latter half, the movie gives a satisfying experience.
