Upendra and Sudeep starrer pan-India film Kabzaa opened this week to disastrous collections and poor reviews. The pan-India film also starred Shriya and Shivarajkumar in key roles and couldn’t manage to make any impact at the box office.
Kabzaa team had planned a KGF-like theme and the sequel was announced way before. Even in the movie, the story writers had created enough scope for a sequel but nothing excited the audienceu. And the movie is now heading towards a big disaster.
The film has collected around 20Cr gross in 2 days and from other languages the collections are negligible. The movie has been shot on a massive budget with top stars and even the star cast failed to attract the audience to the theatres
From the looks of it, the extremely poor reception of the first part can only mean shelving of the second part. For a pan-India project with a huge budget, it is important to have a successful part 1 as we saw in the case of Baahubali, KGF, and Pushpa. But with Kabzaa failing to create any interest, there would be very few takers for the sequel.
