RRR team, planning for a sequel, is the hottest topic in the news. Rajamouli gave a hope for the RRR movie fans, he has confirmed that his father is working on potential ideas for a remake. But will NTR fans accept the sequel? They are already disappointed with the movie, saying that their star was shown as subordinate to Ram Charan’s character. Hence, the plans of RRR sequel are not well received by some JR NTR fans.
Though Rajamouli before the movie released had many times said, sequel wasn’t there in his view. After the release, there was news that NTR asked for sequel in the presence of Vijayendra Prasad.
After seeing the worldwide response, especially in the Hollywood, Rajamouli is rethinking on sequel. The story’s ending also leaves scope for an extension. But NTR fans are already unhappy about NTR’s character portrayal in RRR.
Though Rajamouli promised that both will have equal impact, the movie in the second half tilted towards Charan. The portrayal of Bheem as assistant to Ram in the climax, showing Ram as Lord Rama made NTR’s character as secondary. In the climax fight, NTR was just a bystander in the whole episode, even in the prison break fight NTR took an inferior position.
Story wise, Charan got a good character arc, but NTR’s purpose was shown as inferior compared to Charan’s ambition.
NTR fans have been carrying these wounds in their hearts after seeing RRR movie. Though they were happy that NTR got worldwide recognition, but still feel the injustice done to Bheem.
Some audience also felt that showing Komaram Bheem as illiterate and even his slogan ‘Jal Jangal Jameen’ was given to him by Ram in the movie. These allegations on makers regarding NTR’s underplay are also expressed on social media platforms by NTR fans.
The frustration of NTR fans has to be addressed if there is a sequel, else they may not be happy.
