Vijay Signs A Film With Another Telugu Director

Recently, the news of Tamil Superstar, Thalapathy Vijay doing a movie with another Telugu Director made a lot of buzz in the South Indian Cinema media. We know that Vijay’s last film, Varisu was directed by a Telugu Director, Vamsy Paidipally. Now it is said that Vijay will work with another Telugu Director, Gopichand Malineni.

Apparently, Gopichand will be directing Vijay on the actor’s 68th project, i.e. Thalapathy 68[tentative title]. According to the reports, Vijay will begin this film immediately after his ongoing Leo with director Lokesh Kanagaraj, and reports have at it that the movie will be produced by not one but two production banners.

RB Chaudhary’s Super Good Films, which is a Kollywood production house, will produce Thalapathy 68. Actor Jithan Ramesh, RB Chaudhary’s elder son, has confirmed the same in the media recently when he stated that Vijay doing a movie on their banner is almost certain.

Moreover, it is being said that renowned Tollywood production house Mythri Movie Makers might co-produce Thalapathy 68. However, the Official announcement on the same is awaited. It has to be said that the combination of Gopichand Malineni and Vijay will be a very interesting one.

Thalapathy 68 was initially reported to be directed by Atlee, as a continuation of Vijay’s cameo in Atlee’s Bollywood debut Jawan, in which Shahrukh Khan is the lead. But now it looks like Atlee’s project will be made as Vijay’s 69th film, with Sun Pictures being the production house and Anirudh composing the music.
