Balakrishna’s Veera Simha Reddy was released today worldwide amidst great fanfare and celebrations. The film is the first big Tollywood Sankranti release and it will be followed by Chiranjeevi’s Waltair Veerayya tomorrow. Directed by Gopichand Malineni, Veera Simha Reddy has got off to a terrific start.
The movie took an extraordinary start on the opening day despite of mixed reviews and pre-festival release. The 1st-day gross is expected in the range of Rs 45Cr share in the range of Rs30Cr which is way better than what was projected.
These numbers are phenomenal for Balakrishna and his career’s biggest opening by a big margin. Veera Simha Reddy is on its course to comfortably cross Akhanda opening day as well as opening week collection. The pre-business of this mass entertainer is valued at 75Cr a decent hold on festival days is enough to achieve the breakeven mark.
The movie already achieved $500 k in pre-sales in the USA and is showing good performance in the overseas market as well, which is pretty much unlike other Balayya movies. Veera Simha Reddy also stars Shruti Haasan, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar and Duniya Vijay in key roles and music has been composed by SS Thaman whose BGM has received special applause from all over.
