Kollywood star Simbu’s Vendu Thanindhathu Kaadu (VTK) earned him the second consecutive hit after Maanadu. Directed by Gautham Menon, VTK was released in Telugu as Life of Muthu. The film follows the rise of a youngster who gets drawn into the world of crime. AR Rahman composed the music for this gangster drama which ended up as a huge success at the box office.
After running successfully in theatres, Vendu Thanindhathu Kaadu has made its way to the OTT platform. The film is streaming on Amazon Prime Video and has already received a great response from netizens as well. The film also stars Sidhi Idani, Radhika Sarathkumar and Siddique in key roles
The film’s success has marked a strong comeback for Gautham Menon whose last film Enai Noki Paayum Thota starring Dhanush failed to reach massive expectations. This is Simbu’s consecutive big opening after Maanadu was released last year. Directed by Venkat Prabhu, Maanadu was a blockbuster success and got makers from all over India rushing for remake rights.
