Rana Daggubati is known for signing interesting projects with unique storylines and scope for performance. His last film ‘Virata Parvam’ might have not fared well at the box office but it surely got him some rave reviews.

The actor has now reportedly signed another interesting project. This film is a remake of the 2021 Tamil blockbuster ‘Maanadu’ and featured Simbu in the lead role. Venkat Prabhu has directed this sci-fi action thriller and it features Simbu, SJ Surya, and Kalyani Priyadarshan in key roles.

The movie revolves around a common man and a police officer. Both of them find themselves in a time loop and relive the same moments of the day again and again. Rana is hoping for similar commercial success in Telugu as well. The success of the film was a huge relief not just for Simbu, but for director Venkat Prabhu as well whose last few films failed to strike big at the box office.

Suresh Productions had acquired the remake rights of this film earlier this year. It needs to be seen if Venkat Prabhu will be directing this project as well. Meanwhile, Rana will be next seen in ‘Rana Naidu’ alongside Venkatesh in a Netflix web series.
