OG: Jackpot for Dil Raju?

0

Undoubtedly Nizam is the topmost territory for Pawan Kalyan, as his films always open very huge in Nizam compared to any other territories. His upcoming film, the most hyped film, OG’s initial advance bookings opened in Nizam, and the response is sensational. This indicates that it can turn out as a jackpot for the distributor, Dil Raju.

Even though there are special premieres before the release, still the day 1 shows are already seeing sellouts. The fully fledged advance bookings, including premieres, are expected to open by tomorrow.

Coming to OG’s theatrical rights in the Nizam area, they have been bought by Dil Raju for 55 Cr. Looking at the film’s craze and initial advance bookings, the film is expected to see a 25 Cr+ opening day.

If WOM is positive, then from Day 2 to Day 4 the film can target a double-digit share daily. With that, it can achieve the breakeven by the weekend itself.

The film can not see any drop after the weekend, as it will have the advantage of the Dasara holiday season and the Gandhi Jayanthi public holiday. The movie can see very good numbers till the 11th day.

For this crazy film, if WOM is positive, then the film can easily do a minimum of 80 Cr+ share in Nizam, and it can even go to a higher range in the full run.

The fans of Mohanlal were extremely happy to know that their favorite actor is getting honored with the Dada Saheb Phalke Award. Now, they have other exciting news, as the most awaited Drishyam 3 shoot rolls today.

Everyone knows that the Drishyam series is the biggest franchise from Mollywood. The series was remade into multiple languages and saw blockbuster success. The third and final part, Drishyam 3’s pre-production work, was completed a few days back.

The director, Jeethu Joseph, confirms that the third part in this most loved series will have a very different treatment than the first and second parts.

The film finally goes on set tomorrow, with the first schedule beginning in Thodupuzha, Kerala. The entire shoot is said to be completed by November itself, and there is a buzz that after completion of the Malayalam version, the director will immediately start the Telugu version.

Mohanlal’s Drishyam 3 shoot starts tomorrow, and the makers are planning to release it in summer 2026. We need to see either every language find their own release date or all languages release at the same time.

OG: Continues Delays

Pawan Kalyan’s OG is all set for a grand theatrical release worldwide this Thursday, and the team is still busy with post-production work. The fans are frustrated as the team continues to delay the promotional content.

Sujeeth and the team did not do any promotional interviews and completely forgot about promoting the film in other languages due to post-production works getting delayed.

OG might be the only biggie in recent times for which the trailer is arriving just 4 days before the release. Even the trailer was announced to be released this morning, but the production house updated that it will be unveiled tonight in a pre-pre-release event.

Pawan Kalyan Fans frustrated with the continuous delay in the promotions of OG

Shockingly, “They Call Him OG” makers have not dispatched the content yet for overseas countries.

There have been continuous delays in post-production works of OG, and when you plan a film for pan-Indian audiences, the team should complete all the works at least 2 weeks before the release and have to go all around India to promote the film, but it did not happen with OG.

This kind of delay and lack of planning from the team made the fans and audiences disappointed.

On Saturday the film sold 110K+ tickets. This is incredible, and with that, the total BMS sales stood at 4.95M, and today it is crossing the 5 million figure.

Vijay Deverakonda faced a disappointing result with his last release, Kingdom. The actor has two films in his hands, and one of them is Rowdy Janardhan. The latest and exciting news is that senior actor Rajasekhar will appear as the villain opposite Vijay Deverakonda in this film.

Senior stars are turning into villains one by one in the Telugu industry, and they are carrying huge demand as well. The audiences also get excited to see a film if a senior star plays a villain role.

Rajasekhar turns villain for Vijay Deverakonda

Now senior hero Rajasekhar is all set to join the list, as reportedly, he will appear as a villain against Vijay Devarakonda. Produced by Dil Raju, the film is called Rowdy Janardhan and directed by Ravi Kiran Kola.

The Ankusham actor played a special role in Nithin’s Extra Ordinary Man, which did not receive much positive response.

Not Nani, Not Vijay Deverakonda – Teja Sajja Achieves the Rare Feat

0

Nani and Vijay Devarakonda carry a huge market in North America in tier-2 heroes. Their movies opened huge in North America. But Teja Sajja achieves a rare feat with Mirai that both Nani and Vijay Deverakonda could not to date.

Nani’s HIT 3 sets a milestone for tier-2 opening in North America, and Kingdom breaks that, and to date only these two heroes from tier 2 stars have had competition in this area.

But Teja Sajja, the latest entry into tier 2 heroes, is achieving bigger milestones, which Nani and Devarakonda could not do. Mirai joins the 2.5M club in North America, and Teja Sajja becomes the 1st tier 2 to achieve the feat of scoring back-to-back 2.5 million films.

Not only from tier 2, but even in tier 1 heroes, only Prabhas and NTR have achieved this fantastic feat.

With Hanuman and Mirai Teja, Sajja scores universal blockbusters and sets huge targets for the other tier 2 heroes.

Lokah Shatters Records: A Historic Triple Box Office Milestone for Mollywood

0

Lokah, the latest Malayalam blockbuster, is unstoppable at the box office. The film’s theatrical run is nothing short of sensational, and it achieved two milestones on its 24th day: One is the industry hit status worldwide, and the second one is 100 Cr in Kerala.

The female superhero film became the highest grosser of the Malayalam film industry with 270 Cr gross as it crossed Mohanlal’s Empuraan (265 Cr). The film also becomes only the 2nd film to achieve the 100 Cr milestone after Thudarum.

Lokah Box Office: Plenty Of Records

With this milestone, Lokah achieved a never-before-seen feat in Malayalam cinema. It is the first film to collect more than 100 Cr in Kerala, 50 Cr in ROI, and 100 Cr overseas. No film has achieved this feat; this says how big a global blockbuster the film is.

For 24 days, Lokah has collected 100 Cr from Kerala, 115 Cr from overseas, and 54 Cr for ROI. By today the film will go near the 275 Cr mark, and as the movie will not arrive on OTT anytime soon, there is a good chance for the film to go near the 300 Cr milestone.

Mirai Doubles Up on 2nd Saturday, Weekend on Fire

0

After having an exceptional first weekend and a decent hold on weekdays, Teja Sajja’s Mirai rises again at the box office, as it doubles the numbers on the 2nd Saturday compared to today. The film is on fire at the weekend box office.

With no notable films, Mirai continues to be the number one preference for audiences this weekend too and sees a terrific Saturday at the box office with a 200% jump over Friday.

Tomorrow’s advances are super strong, and a very big weekend is loading for this fantasy-action-adventure film. The film’s worldwide gross crosses the 110 Cr mark.

At this pace the film will do more than 125 Cr gross till Wednesday, and after that Pawan Kalyan’s OG will be releasing on Thursday, and how the film sustains by facing such a huge film will decide whether it will cross the 150 Cr milestone in its closing.

Lokah Crushes Empuraan, Proving Content Rules

0

The Malayalam Cinema fans, and trade have experienced a sweet shock as Lokah, the female superhero film, beats Mohanlal’s Empuraan at the box office. The film proves that the content rules over stardom as it becomes the new industry hit of Mollywood.

Empuraan is the most expensive film from Mollywood by a mile, and it was also released with a huge craze. It had the franchise mileage, and everyone expected that the film would work big at the pan-India box office, but the content failed to work as expected.

Empuraan fails to achieve the Pan-India Success, but Lokah achieves it with the help of strong content

The film did not see many numbers from other languages, but in Mollywood, the craze worked to pull big numbers till the 2nd weekend, and as a result, it became an industry hit with 265 Cr gross collection worldwide.

But in the same year, within a very quick gap, Lokah, a film that was made on a budget of 35 Cr and had a female actress as the lead, crushed Empuraan at the box office with 270 Cr in collections and was heading towards the 300 Cr mark.

Also, Lokah becomes a pan-Indian hit, and it sees numbers from all corners. This proves that content is the king over the budget, and Empuraan misses a very big chance to go much bigger, which Kalyani Priyadarshan’s film succeeds at.
