Vijay shows his star power yet again with The GOAT

Tamil Actor Vijay’s current film, The GOAT released today amidst great hype and expectations. The film, as expected has posted big opening in the Tamil Version worldwide. The opening is expected to be close to 100 crores worldwide which is just phenomenal. Vijay has showed his star power yet again with The GOAT.

Till now, only one film has grossed more than 100 crores worldwide in Kollywood. That was, Leo directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. This film carried a sensational hype ahead of the release and likewise had earth shattering numbers on the opening day. The gross was close to 150 crores worldwide. Now, The GOAT stands only next to Leo by grossing nearly 100 crores. This is a record for any star in Kollywood for having two 100 crore openers. This is just truly remarkable.

However, The GOAT’s Telugu and other language versions’ collections look dull and may not post good numbers ahead. The film lacked craze and aggressive promotions ahead of the release in other languages making it completely unimpressive today. But, as said, Vijay has outperformed in his market. The film achieved a mixed talk from the audience and may post great numbers ahead as well in the weekend. Trade expects The GOAT to gross more than 300 crores worldwide.

Naga Chaitanya completes 15 Years in Tollywood

Today marks the release day of Josh, the debut film of Naga Chaitanya which released 15 years ago. The film was launched amid great hype and expectations from the audience also. With this, Naga Chaitanya has also completes his 15 years of Journey in Tollywood. The Actor also tweeted about this on his official X/Twitter Account.

Naga Chaitanya tweeted, “Thank you for all the wishes on completing 15 years in the Telugu film industry , gives me all the confidence to keep going stronger .. glad I’m able to spend this day filming for #Thandel my biggest film in every way so far . Grateful 🙂 #Josh to #Thandel.” (sic). The Actor hoped big on his upcoming film, Thandel co-starring Sai Pallavi. He also added a shot of making video of the film alongwith the tweet. Thandel is currently under shoot and will be released on 11th October this year.

Coming to Josh, though released amid great hype didn’t meet the expectations and ended up average at the box office. However, the film became a cult classic later over the period of time and enjoys great following among the audience now. The film is known for its effective direction and story as well now. This way Josh stands as a special film not only for Naga Chaitanya but also to his fans as well.

Rajamouli-Mahesh Babu Film Set For Announcement!

The entire country is aware that S. S. Rajamouli’s next project will feature ‘Super Star’ Mahesh Babu in the lead role. Touted as a globetrotting adventure, it is funded by K. L. Narayana on an earth-shattering budget.

Without a doubt, this is the biggest Indian film ever made. However, the project isn’t even formally launched yet. Fans expected makers to kickstart the film on Mahesh‘s or Krishna’s birthday but it didn’t happen for unknown reasons.

According to the latest reports, it is gearing to get launched on 10th October, i.e., on the 51st birthday of Jakkanna. The film will begin production in the month of December. The film’s music is composed by M. M. Keeravani, the elder brother of Rajamouli.

Devara’s Budget Vs Visuals!

Devara: Part One marks the first feature film appearance of Mr. . NTR after the legendary RRR (2022). Having said that, the expectations from the project are sky high in every aspect. Even the makers stated that a record sum has been invested into making the film.

But unfortunately, that is not being seen in the film’s promotional content. Be it teasers or songs, Devara‘s production values seem pretty ordinary and don’t match the international standards. Nandamuri Kalyan Ram, who’s producing the film under ‘NTR Arts’, must be blamed for the output.

This is not the first time such a scenario took place. In fact, NTR Arts was criticized for their cheap production quality in sets, costumes, and technical finesse back during Jai Lava Kusa (2017), which also featured Tarark in the lead role. It must be seen how this seemingly ordinary film will fare at the box office.

Ace filmmaker Venkat Prabhu has been in the news lately since a film of his has hit the big screens today. Starring ‘Thalapathy’ Vijay in the lead role, it is a sci-fi action drama titled ‘The Greatest Of All Time’.

For those unaware, Kanagaraj is known for requesting people to watch old films of LCU (Lokesh Cinematic Universe) before witnessing the latest one. Having said that, this tweet from Venkat Prabhu is undoubtely made to take a dig at him.

The numbers were okayish after the first weekend. It also started losing the momentum from Monday as well and the threat of Vijay’s The GOAT looked obvious and dangerous for the film. But, it now looks that there is a safe ride ahead for Saripodhaa Sanivaaram.

The GOAT which released today secured negative reviews and openings in Telugu States. Earlier, all Vijay’s films took a good opening and a decent full run as well. But The GOAT shocked everyone with its poor performance. The film’s negative response may now boost Saripodhaa Sanivaaram’s collections in the coming weekend. The holiday advantage of Vinayaka Chaviti will also be an added advantage for the film.

This weekend will definitely be big for Saripodhaa Sanivaaram. The team is also planning a success meet to enhance the revenue as well. The success meet will take place today at 6 PM in Hyderabad. The actor was seen having no moustache and with a beard. No one knows if this would be for his upcoming film. This look also seemed like his old age look from The GOAT. Daavudi: No praise for Janhvi Kapoor?

Bollywood Actress, Janhvi Kapoor is the female lead of Devara starring NTR. The film has been carrying great hype and songs released till now took it further more. The second single, Chuttamalle became a big chartbuster showcasing Janhvi Kapoor beautifully. She received instant reception among the audience for her beauty and mesmerizing looks. But third single, Daavudi which released yesterday brought no praise for Janhvi Kapoor.

The song attracted criticism for being a rehashed version of Music Director Anirudh’s earlier compositions. Along with this, NTR’s dance movements too didn’t click well with the fans and audience. They looked repetitive and not so impressive. But no one talked about Janhvi Kapoor’s movements in the song. She was completely sidelined and no one hardly gave her any credit.

Chuttamalle was something else and brought great praise for her overall. But Daavudi ended up being a normal song. Fans and Audience wait for the upcoming songs after the disappointment of Daavudi. No one knows if there could be one more song in the film. Devara is slated for release on September 27th. The trailer will also be planned ahead of the release mostly in the pre-release event. NTR is hoping big to score a Pan India blockbuster with the film.
