Fans Disappointed With OG Hindi

0

These days, many top actors are expanding their image across India and even aiming for international audiences. Fans of Pawan Kalyan had high hopes that OG would be his big pan-India blockbuster. However, they are disappointed to learn that the film will not have a wide release in Hindi.

According to the latest updates, OG will not be shown on major Hindi multiplex screens because of its OTT deal. Netflix has acquired the digital rights, and the film will be available for streaming after a four-week theatrical run in all languages.

No Big Release in Hindi for Pawan Kalyan’s OG

As a result, OG will only be released in single-screen theaters and a few local multiplex screens in North India. This is expected to affect its box office performance, since multiplex screens play a major role in the success of Hindi films.

Another reason for the limited reach is that the “They Call Him OG” team is focusing mainly on Telugu promotions and not putting much effort into promoting the film in other languages.

So, while Pawan Kalyan’s OG may perform well in Telugu states, its impact in Hindi and other languages is likely to be small, and the overall box office numbers may be lower due to minimal promotion.

No IMAX for OG in USA

Pawan Kalyan’s OG is trending extraordinarily in the USA. The Premiers pre-sales are at $1.25M already, and the film is heading towards 3 million Premiers. However, the film will not be released in IMAX in the USA.

PSPK fans eagerly await the film’s release, but there is sad news for them and other audiences, as OG will be missing the IMAX release in the USA. The distributor officially announced it on social media a while back.

They Call Him OG is directed and written by Sujeeth and produced by D. V. V. Danayya under DVV Entertainment. The film features Pawan Kalyan in the lead role as Ojas Gambheera, with Emraan Hashmi making his Telugu debut as the antagonist Omi Bhau.

Priyanka Mohan plays the female lead, Kanmani. The supporting cast includes Prakash Raj, Arjun Das, Rao Ramesh, Vennela Kishore, Sriya Reddy, Harish Uthaman, and Subhalekha Sudhakar. The music is composed by Thaman S, with cinematography by Ravi K. Chandran and Manoj Paramahamsa, and editing by Naveen Nooli.

The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) has issued a show-cause notice to producer Allu Aravind, just days after he held a prayer meeting for his late mother, Allu Kanakaratnamma. The notice concerns an illegal construction at Allu Business Park on Road No. 45 in Jubilee Hills.

According to GHMC officials, Allu Aravind built an extra floor,i.e, a penthouse without proper approval. On the professional front, Allu Aravind continues to support both small and big-budget films. His recent production Thandel was a successful film. Meanwhile, Allu Arjun is busy with a major upcoming project directed by Atlee, following the massive success of Pushpa 2.

It’s well known that Balakrishna’s Akhanda 2 and SYG, the biggest film for Sai Durgha Tej, were both originally scheduled to release on September 25. Later, Pawan Kalyan’s OG also announced the same release date. However, OG is now the only film actually releasing in theaters on that day, as the other two have been postponed.

Though both the Akhanda 2 and SYG officially announce the date first, both films are not arriving on the same date. Meanwhile, Pawan Kalyan’s OG has developed a huge craze among audiences, and the film is expected to set the box office on fire.

Akhanda 2 goes to the first week of December and will release on the 4th/5th of December. The SYG movie is still on set; it may move to an early 2026 release. OG will be released in theaters on September 25, and it will enjoy the solo release day and weekend at the box office.

All About Mirai: Budget, Business and Censor Report

0

Mirai is releasing in theaters this weekend, 12 September. The film is made on a budget of 60 Cr, and the team almost recovered the budget with non-theatrical rights/business itself. The film also completed the censor work recently.

Even though the film saw multiple postponements, it did not affect the buzz, as promotional content works perfectly. A very few films put the producer in a comfortable position before release, and Mirai is one among them.

This fantasy action adventure’s audio rights have been bought by Tips Music, while the satellite rights are with Star Maa, and OTT rights by Jio Hotstar.

Mirai Puts The Producer In Safe Zone Before the Release

Coming to theatricals, the makers opted for their own release by just taking advances from distributors with a total returnable basis. If the movie fetches more than 30 Cr in theatrical share, then the producer will be in a super profit zone.

Mirai Theatrical Trailer

The trade believes that the film has the potential to do much more than the estimated value, so producers can expect very big revenue theatrically with positive WOM, and it is also a pan-India release.

Coming to the censor, the movie has been censored with U/A, and the runtime is 168 minutes. The Mirai team also comes up with a good strategy of going with GO ticket prices without any hikes, and the advance bookings in Telangana opened with limited theaters as of now.

Director Karuna Kumar said, “Documentaries showcase events or facts related to a person. A good documentary has a larger reach than a film. People often think documentaries are not engaging, but ‘Prodduturu Dasara’ feels incredibly engaging and wonderful. They’ve broken the stereotypes about how a documentary should be made. Yashwanth Nag provided excellent music. The background score and songs gave me goosebumps. The use of AI was brilliantly showcased. Documentaries are screened at numerous international film festivals. A documentary is history in visual form. Congratulations to everyone who made ‘Prodduturu Dasara’ so wonderfully”

Mahesh Vitta said, “Thanks to Prem garu for bringing ‘Prodduturu Dasara’ to everyone. I always talk about the Dasara celebrations in our town. The festival is spectacular for ten days. It’s even grander than what’s shown in the documentary. Dasara is celebrated magnificently in ten temples. On the 11th day, there’s no space even for vehicles. Crackers brought from Shivakasi are burst for an hour. Dasara in Prodduturu is truly spectacular”

Director Uday Gurrala said, “I also entered the industry by making documentaries. Documentaries preserve truths and showcase them to future generations. Prodduturu Dasara has been captured in a way that will stay with the people there forever. I didn’t know Dasara is celebrated so grandly in Prodduturu in the Telugu states. After watching this documentary, I understood the greatness of Prodduturu Dasara. Yashwanth Nag’s music felt amazing”

Producer Prem Kumar said, “Thanks to everyone who attended the ‘Prodduturu Dasara’ screening. Balcony Originals was started three years ago. Until now, people thought our area was only about violence. But now, I’m showcasing stories rooted in our culture. Yashwanth’s music and Nikhil’s camera work were outstanding. Thanks to everyone who contributed to this documentary”

Actor Viplav said, “I’ve known Prem Kumar for a long time. I’ve been trying to work on a project with him for a while. I hope he takes me to the next Dasara celebration”

Jayasimha said, “In the ‘Prodduturu Dasara’ documentary, we showcased the visuals of the celebrations there. Hats off to Prem for producing it with high quality without any compromise. I hope they make many more such great projects. I wish Balcony Originals makes more projects. Yashwanth Nag gave excellent music. Thanks to Bushetti Jewellers”

Director Murali Krishna said, “Thanks to everyone who attended the ‘Prodduturu Dasara’ screening. Thanks to producer Prem Kumar for supporting me in this journey. I did my best to make this documentary. I hope everyone likes our documentary”

Actor Davood said, “I’m from Prodduturu. I acted in Sridevi Soda Center under Karuna Kumar’s direction. During the success meet of that film in Prodduturu, he mentioned my name. Meeting him again here today feels joyful. I used to tell everyone that Dasara is celebrated grandly in our town, that it’s called Siri Puram, and that there’s a lot of gold. Everyone knows Dasara is celebrated well in Prodduturu. But with this documentary, they’ve shown ‘Prodduturu Dasara’ to the entire world.”
