The IT department yesterday conducted raids on a few Tollywood Celebrities including noted Producer Dil Raju, Mythri Movie Makers, and other media agencies. The production companies were occupied with supplying information regarding many things to the officers. Now, the IT raids are still on for the 2nd day.

The latest addition to the raids is Director Sukumar who is enjoying the success of his Pushpa 2 which became a big blockbuster recently. The IT department looks very specific about the huge budget spent for the biggies of these production houses. It is also learned that there is a difference between the actual and speculated collection revenue of these films.

The IT officers have also taken Sukumar from the Airport to his home escorting him. We have to see how the celebrities would come out clean. The news of the further continuing of the IT raids is yet to come out. But today will also be a busy day for all the involved parties.

On January 12, Rashmika took to her social media and informed her fans about her injury during the Gym session, and she also apologized to the movie units for the delay in the shooting because of her injury. Meanwhile, on the work front, Rashmika will be next seen in Vicky Kaushal’s Chhaava, in which she will appear as Maharani Yesubai. The trailer of the film will be unveiled at a grand event in Mumbai on January 22. Rashmika will also be seen in Salman Khan’s Sikandar, which will be released in theaters worldwide this Eid.

But this Sankranthi, most Andhra audiences choose to watch only one film, Sankranthiki Vasthunnam. Balakrishna’s Daaku Maharaaj opened to unanimous positive reviews and WOM. Normally it should have delivered big profits for such a response, but it is settling around breakeven. Game Changer was the biggie for Sankranti 2025, and even this film did not receive a complete bad talk, and the talk was watchable. At least it should have delivered some decent numbers during the festival days, but it failed. Andhra Audience Picks One Film Due to Ticket Hike on this Sankranthi clash. 

Only Sankranthiki Vasthunam is getting big collections for this Sankrnathi, and the difference in the audience’s mind is likely to be the ticket hike. All three films were released with hikes in ticket rates. Game Changer went with a 175 Rs hike, while Daaku Maharaaj had Rs 135 and Sankranthiki Vasthunamm had less hike than its competitors with a Rs 125 hike. With this many audiences choose only one film to watch in theatres for this festival

Pushpa 2 became a sensational blockbuster upon release grossing more than 1660 crores worldwide. The film is still running in the theatres even after 6 weeks with a new reloaded version added up to 20 minutes. The film is said to be arriving for streaming soon and the details are as follows:

Pushpa 2 will stream on leading OTT Giant, Netflix on 30th January in all the prominent languages. Fans and Audience have been eagerly waiting for the official HD version release. The film’s popularity is so high that the reloaded version too attracted quite good audience to the theatres.

The makers haven’t sensed this postponing the reloaded version release. The reloaded version after its releases trended well at Book My Show on par with the new Sankranthi releases. The team is very happy with this success and the concentration will now be on Pushpa 3.

Thaman, Where Are the Chartbusters? This is the question that is being asked by movie lovers to the music composer Thaman S. It is widely known that three films have been released for Sankranti 2025, and even though budget-wise or spanwise Sankranthiki Vasthunam is nowhere near to Game Changer or Daaku Maharaaj, the film became a massive success at the box office.

Because, more than the other two big films, Sankranthiki Vasthunam created more anticipation and buzz in Telugu audiences. The main reason for this is, that the film’s music album had one instant Chartbuster Godari Gattu. All three songs that were released by the film’s unit worked well and Godari Gattu created all the buzz as it was immensely liked by audiences.

However, Thaman failed to deliver a Chartbuster for a most expensive film like Game Changer where the team spent 75 Cr for songs, but none became a big hit. For Daaku Maharaaj, the music director’s background score was a big asset for the film but songs, even this film, disappointed as no song was able to create the required buzz. Thaman is known for delivering at least one Chartbuster song for his films, but he failed to do so this Sankranthi. That is why audiences are asking Thaman, Where Are the Chartbusters?

Mohanlal film postponed

Malayalam film, Thuduram starring Mohanlal is scheduled for release on January 30th. But it is now learnt that the film stands postponed due to a business reason. The OTT deal is yet to happen and the film will see a release only during the Summer season. The film’s shoot is also finished.

On the other hand, Mohanlal’s next film, L2: Empuraan is scheduled for release on 27th March. The film carries great amount of hype and expectations as it happens to be the sequel of Blockbuster, Lucifer. The teaser of the film is also said to release very soon. Tovino Thomas has also come onboard for the film as revealed by the Director Prithviraj Sukumaran.

Tovino plays the role of Jathin in the film. The film will see a big release in Kerala. Mohanlal’s Barroz 3D which released recently became a big failure. So, all eyes are now on L2: Empuraan.
