The Raja Saab Out: Jaat in

The Raja Saab is out, and Jaat is in. It is widely known that Prabhas and Maruthi’s The Raja Saab was announced to be released in theaters on 10th April. The latest news is that The Raja Saab is out, and Jaat is in for the same date.

Despite Prabhas’s film announcing the release date of April 10th, there were continues rumors that the movie was postponed to June. The makers did not give any official announcement on this and now, the same production house, People Media Factory announced their another film, Jaat, starring Sunny Deol for 10th April release. So, it is confirmed that Jaat has replaced The Raja Saab.

Jaat is a collaboration film of Mythri Movies and People Media Factory. Interestingly, Mythri movies’ another film Good Bad Ugly is also getting released on the same date, 10, April 2025.

Jailer 2 will have record remunerations and business. Rajinikanth’s Jailer 2 is undoubtedly the biggest project from Kollywood which has the potential of collecting 1000 Cr gross at the box office as it has a massive craze in other languages as well. The makers recently released an announcement glimpse for Jailer’s sequel which worked superbly, and fans went crazy seeing it. 

Normally, for a blockbuster sequel the business and remunerations will be very huge, and the same will be done for Jailer 2. Rajinikanth, Anirudh, and Nelson are said to be taking their highest remunerations for this film, and at the same time, the business will also happen at the same range. Jailer 2 will have record remunerations and business.

The audio rights are already said to be sold for a record price ever for any Kollywood film. The digital rights are also said to be discussed and even this deal is expected to be closed at a higher price. The film’s non-theatrical business deals are expected to close before going to shoot, and the theatrical business will certainly go for record prices.

The makers of the Jailer sequel are planning to go on sets this March and targeting the 2026 summer release. Being a sequel, Jailer 2 can use the season advantage and perform massively at the box office.

Sankranthiki Vasthunam 10 Days Box Office Collections

Sankranthiki Vasthunam 10 Days Box Office Collections are out now. The third film in the combination of Venkatesh and Anil Ravipudi, Sankranthiki Vasthunnam continues its good run at the box office. For 10 days, the movie has collected around 103 Cr share in Telugu States which includes GST in Andhra and Nizam. 

The Worldwide share of the film will be around 123.5 Cr for 10 Days. Sankranthiki Vasthunam’s 10 Days Box Office Collections are extraordinary, and the worldwide Gross of the film will be around 190 Cr for 10 days and it will cross 200 Cr gross by Saturday. It will be the 1st 200 Cr grosser for Venkatesh and 2nd for Anil Ravipudi after Sarileru Neekevvaru.

The film is expected to take a good jump from today’s evening shows, and the second weekend is expected to be very strong as it is still the number one choice for audiences this weekend as well, because of no new releases.

Tollywood’s IT Raids Ended

Tollywood’s IT Raids have ended.  It is widely known that the Income Tax raids started in Tollywood producers for a few days and mainly, the team concentrated on Pushpa 2 producers: Mythri Movie Makers, Director Sukumar and Game Changer Producers Dil Raju Sirish, AK Entertainment offices, Finance companies, Abhishek Agarwal and many other offices. The latest news is that Tollywood’s IT Raids have ended.

The IT raids started on Tuesday and the team continued the process for 3 days, and it is said to have been concluded last night. Though there were a few rumors of political targets being included in these raids, it is said to be a common practice for Tollywood as IT raids happen very regularly.

55 Teams conducted IT Raids on Telugu Film Producers:

As said above, the IT raids at the residences and offices of film personalities ended yesterday. I-T officials conducted searches at 16 locations over three days. As many as 55 teams conducted searches at the residences of film producers and directors. The I-T raids at Dil Raju’s house, which lasted for nearly three days, were completed yesterday.

Meanwhile, Venkatesh said that he was not aware that the I-T officials were conducting searches at Dil Raju’s house for the last three days. At a promotional event of Sankranthiki Vasthunam, Anil Ravipudi spoke about the same. It is common for I-T officials to conduct searches every two years. “There are no raids at my house at the moment,” he said.

An Indian Short Film has been Nominated for the Oscars. Anuja, backed by actress Priyanka Chopra and Guneet Monga, was nominated for Best Live Action Short Film at the Oscars 2025.

It is also the third Oscar nomination for Guneet Monga Kapoor after two previous wins with The Elephant Whisperers and Period End of Sentence. Priyanka Chopra and the unit members of Anuja shared their happiness on social media, and many netizens are delighted as an Indian Short Film has been Nominated for Oscars.

Anuja tells the story of a nine-year-old girl working in a back-alley garment factory alongside her older sister, Palak. The film explores her journey as she confronts a life-altering decision that could shape her family’s future.

Directed by Adam J. Graves, Anuja is backed by producers: Suchitra Mattai, Mindy Kaling, Guneet Monga Kapoor, Krushan Naik, Aaron Kopp, Devananda Graves, Michael Graves, Ksheetij Saini, and Alexandra Blaney. Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Anita Bhatia are on board as Executive Producers. Co-Executive Producers include Archana Jain, Susan MacLaury, and Albie Hecht.

Telugu States 100 Cr Share Films

Sankranthiki Vasthunam joins the list of Telugu States 100 Cr Share films. The latest family entertainer directed by Anil Ravipudi, and starring Venkatesh, Aishwarya Rajesh, and Meenakshi Chaudhary in lead roles became a massive success at the box office.

Sankranthiki Vasthunam is the 11th film and 1st medium-budget film to enter the list of Telugu States 100 Cr Share films. The film is expected to have more than 130 Cr share in Telugu states in the full run.

Ram Gopal Varma reacts to his arrest

Ram Gopal Varma reacts to his arrest. Industry circles and the public were shocked when the news of renowned filmmaker RGV getting arrested erupted on social media. A Mumbai court sentenced filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma to three months imprisonment in a cheque bounce case and issued a non-bailable arrest warrant against him.

Judicial Magistrate (First Class) in Andheri, Y P Pujari, on Tuesday, convicted Varma for the offence punishable under the provisions of the Negotiable Instruments Act. The court has also directed the filmmaker to pay compensation of Rs 3,72,219 to the complainant within three months from the date of the order.

Taking the matter to the X (Twitter), RGV said it was about a 7-year-old case of Rs 2 lakh 38 thousand amount, relating to his ex-employee, and he said that his advocates are attending to it, and since the matter is in court, he cannot say anything further. Ram Gopal Varma reacts to his arrest.

“It is not about settling the rupees 2.38 lakh. The contention was about refusing to be exploited in the attempts to fabricate  ..Anyway that’s all I can say for now” said RGV.
