Jr. NTR All Set To Enter The 100-Crore-Share Club!

0

For those unaware, collecting a worldwide share of INR 100 crore is considered elite among the top-tier stars of Telugu cinema. While Prabhas and Mahesh Babu top the list, Pawan Kalyan and Jr. NTR are yet to open an account.

Yes, neither of Tarak’s films have gotten past the magical three-figure mark. Till date, Aravinda Sametha Veera Raghava (2018) remains the biggest grosser in the actor’s career with a lifetime collection of INR 88 crore (distributor share).

And now, considering the frenzy surrounding Devara: Part One and of course the super-strong advance bookings worldwide, the ‘Young Tiger’ has a good chance to smash the 100-crore-share mark. All it takes is decent word-of-mouth on the opening day. Stay tuned for more updates of the film.

Devara Pre-Release Event Cancellation- A Pubicity Stunt?

0

Devara: Part One is undountedly carrying enormous buzz among audiences, and an earth-shattering opening is guaranteed. But still, multiple reliable sources claim that the makers of this action drama have pulled off a stunt to garner widespread attention.

Saif Ali Khan, the antagonist of the film, was spotted in Mumbai with his family during the time the event was supposed to take place, thus implying that he is fully aware of the event cancellation. Besides this, the video unveiled by the makers that showed Janhvi Kapoor thanking the fans looks completely staged. Additionally, fans claim that no refund of event passes that were sold at INR 1000 and 3000 is being processed by the organizers, implying that they have been scammed big time.

One obvious reason is that, how can the makers expect an event of this big scale to take place in an indoor auditorium? However disheartening this may sound, this is reportedly true. Nandamuri Kalyan Ram, the elder brother of Tarak, who also happens to be the producer of Devara, is being accused of this cheap attention-seeking stunt.

Devara Smashes $ 2 Million Pre-Sales In USA!

The frenzy around Jr. NTR’s Devara: Part One is toucking new heights each passing day. Owing to the huge demand, more shows are being planned across the world. With three days to go, the Koratala Siva-directorial has achieved a unique feat.

As the title reads, Devara has grossed over $ 2 million with the advance bookings of US premiere shows alone. This is an extraordinary record for any Indian film in recent times, barring Prabhas-Nag Ashwin’s Kalki 2898 AD (2024) and S. S. Rajamouli’s RRR (2022).

A grand pre-release event was planned yesterday, but citing organizational failure, it has been called off. Needless to say, fans are extremely disappointed with the poor planning of Nandamuri Kalyan Ram, the elder brother and producer of Devara. It is slated for a worldwide release on 27th September.

0

Game Changer starring Ram Charan is one of the most awaited films of Tollywood. The film however has been in the making for years. The Director of the film Shankar made himself busy for his other directorial Indian 2. This delayed the updates of Game Changer. Only song from the film, Jaragandi was released. Fans were not happy with this and trended an abusing hashtag on social media which moved the team a bit. Now, Game Changer’s 2nd single has been announced.

Music Director Thaman has announced that Game Changer’s update would be coming on September 25th. Interesting news is he had also announced the release date of the film officially. Game Changer will be releasing on December 20th worldwide this year as a Christmas release. Coming to the update, many feel that it is going to be the 2nd Single as expected.

A poster of Ram Charan in a song was also released officially recently. We can guess that it was from the 2nd song of the film. No one knows what happens on 25th September. Whether it is going to be the announcement of release date or the official release of the song should have to be seen that day. But fans and audience can now have a clarity regarding the next update and release date of the film as well.

All is not well still between Prakash Raj and Manchu Vishnu?

0

Tollywood Actor Manchu Vishnu and another Actor Prakash Raj engaged in a big battle competing for the post of MAA (Movie Artistes Association) President in Tollywood. Both the Actors had no talking terms during this episode and this still continues it seems. Recently, Prakash Raj responded strongly to Pawan Kalyan’s tweet. To this Vishnu reacted against Prakash supporting Pawan Kalyan. Prakash Raj then trolled back Vishnu again with a comic tweet.

Pawan Kalyan brought in a religious tweet and attacked former AP CM Jagan Mohan Reddy. Prakash took strong objection to such religious actions of Pawan Kalyan. He requested Pawan Kalyan to refrain from indulging in religious clashes. Vishnu backed Pawan Kalyan through a reply. But Prakash Raj didn’t stop and called Vishnu as Sivayyaaa. This word was made popular by the netizens which Vishnu uses in his current film, Kannappa. Vishnu was trolled for uttering this word differently then. Prakash Raj indirectly referred to this incident through his tweet.

These replies indicate that All is not well still between Prakash Raj and Manchu Vishnu. It seems both the Actors didn’t take the competition sportively and are still behaving as rivals. Pawan Kalyan’s tweet confirmed this yet again. We have to see how long this would continue.

So far, Aravintha Sametha is NTR’s solo biggest grosser overseas as well as India. The overseas collections of Aravindha Sametha stand at around $3.2M in full run. And Devara has surpassed this figure with just day 1 advance booking. This is a phenomenal achievement. Looking at the current trend, the total Devara opening day advances overseas are heading towards a $5 Million opening.

Not only overseas but the movie is continuing strong bookings wherever it has opened. In Bangalore, the advances have already crossed the Rs 2 Cr mark. In Telugu states huge business is happening with terrific demand for tickets.

Looking at Devara’s bookings all over, it appears that NTR is all set to display his full potential with Devara opening. Now all that’s required is a positive word of mouth on Day 1. If that happens, then Devara will surely enjoy a blockbuster run considering the strong release date.

Post Devara’s release on 27th September, there are continuous holidays after the weekend. Apart from this, the movie will enjoy the benefit of a public holiday 2nd October (Gandhi Jayanti) followed by Dasara holidays that have been declared from the 3rd to 14th of October.

Kiran Rao’s Laapataa Ladies has been announced as India’s official entry for the 2024-25 Oscars. The film will be sent to the Academy Awards as the official nomination in the Best Foreign Language Film category.

The Film Federation of India panel consisting of eminent personalities and journalists from film industries across India went through multiple films to pick one. The panel eventually decided to send this highly acclaimed Kiran Rao film to the Oscars.

The National Award-winning Malayalam film Aatam and Cannes winner All We Imagine As Light were also in contention. The decision was taken unanimously by a 13-member select committee headed by Assamese director Jahnu Barua. The film features Pratibha Ranta, Nitanshi Goel, Sparsh Shrivastav, Chhaya Kadam, and Ravi Kishan in lead roles.

From Tollywood, Hanuman, Kalki 2898 AD, and Mangalavaaram were sent for nomination but didn’t make it through the final cut. Laapata Ladies, co-produced by Aamir Khan along with Kiran Rao, garnered positive reviews upon its release from audiences and critics due to its different story.  The film was a major success on its Netflix release and remained at the top of the popularity charts for weeks.

Koratala Siva’s Devara: Part One is all set to blast the global box office this Friday. In spite of the cancellation of the pre-release event, the film carries enormous hype, and the strong advance bookings are proof of that.

Like any other pan-Indian biggie, the makers of this action drama too have approached the respective governments of Telugu states for ticket hikes. And fortunately, they’ve given a nod. Devara will have special premieres across the world, including the prestigious Beyond Fest in Los Angeles, which will be graced by the ‘Young Tiger’ himself.

In Hyderabad city, Devara’s special premiere, that is scheduled at 1: 08 PM, ticket price is being quoted at a mammoth INR 1000. On the other hand, the shows in the Andhra region stand at INR 800. Even S. S. Rajamouli’s RRR (2022) didn’t have this kind of price. Having said that, the Jr. NTR starrer is sure to take an earth-shattering opening on 27th September.
