Coolie Trailer Disappoints Big Time

0

The hype around Rajinikanth and Lokesh Kanagaraj’s Coolie is unprecedented in Tamil cinema. The fans have been eagerly awaiting the release of the film’s trailer. However, the Coolie trailer disappoints big time.

As said above, because of the actor-director combination and the huge star cast, the film carries an immense buzz, and the promotional content has also worked superbly till now. All were waiting for the most anticipated trailer, which was released today.

Shockingly, Rajinikanth and Lokesh Kanagaraj’s Coolie trailer disappoints everyone. Excluding the last shot, the rest of the trailer looked very flat without any highs, and the surprising thing is that even the BGM and dialogues also did not create much impact.

Rajini – Lokesh’s Coolie Trailer Misses The Punch

Lokesh Kanagaraj seems to have deliberately avoided highlighting the major scenes and did not want to reveal much of the content, possibly to underplay the film. It could have been more tightly edited, as the lengthy cut without any high moments failed to create the expected impact.

Fans feel that the team could have released a glimpse instead of a trailer, and we can say that the trailer will certainly impact the film’s buzz, and it is already receiving backlash on social media.

Fire Storm Erupts: Pawan Kalyan’s Swag Meets Thaman’s Thunder

0

OG is the biggest hype move of Pawan Kalyan, and finally, the film’s most-awaited first single got released today. The song, Fire Storm, makes fans go crazy as Pawan Kalyan’s swag meets Thaman’s thunder.

If we observe the song, it is typical of Thaman’s loud music, where he elevates the hero, which always works massively on big screens. The same goes for the first single of “They Call Him OG.”

Pawan Kalyan Looks Massive in Fire Storm – OG’s First Single

Each frame of PSPK in the song is filled with swag, and he looks his best. A fan knows how to present his idol at his best, and director Sujeeth is an ardent fan of Pawan, and he shows his fanism in every frame of the song.

Overall, OG’s first single, Fire Storm, makes fans go crazy with Pawan Kalyan’s swag all over with Thaman’s thunderous music.

This is definitely a big relief for Pawan Kalyan fans too, as they have seen a big low with Hari Hara Veera Mallu’s failure.

KGF, Kantara, Salaar, Now Mahavatar Narsimha

Hombale Films, the production house from the Kannada Cinema, shattered the Pan-Indian box office in recent years. First, they roared with the KGF series, then continued it with Kantara and Salaar, and now they have another winner with Mahavatar Narsimha.

As said above, the team Hombale is the only one till now that has been making waves at the pan-India box office.

Hombale Films Strikes Gold With Mahavatar Narsimha

They started the journey with the KGF series, and the second part of it was a huge blockbuster. Then came Rishab Shetty’s Kantara, followed by Prashant Neel-Prabhas’s Salaar, and the latest one is Mahavatar Narsimha.

Indian theaters found a new and huge blockbuster with Mahavatar Narsimha. All the above-mentioned films are not standalone, and every film is a franchise.

Mahavaar Cinematic Universe: Biggest Franchise From Kannada Cinema/Hombale Films

So, there will be more movies coming in these franchises, with the Mahavatar Cinematic Universe being the bigger one, as it lasts till 2037.

Normally, the Kannada film industry is considered a small industry, but Hombale Films, with their vision, are taking their market to a higher level.

Lately, Hombale Films also signed a 3-film deal with Prabhas, and certainly all of them will be pan-India films.

Mahavatar Narsimha, the latest blockbuster, is directed by Ashwin Kumar and produced by Shilpaa Dhawan, Kushal Desai, and Chaitanya Desai under the banner of Kleem Productions, presented by Hombale Films.

Son of Sardaar 2 Movie Review: Bores To The Core

0

Movie Name: Son of Sardaar 2
Rating: 2/5
Cast:
Ajay Devgn, Mrunal Thakur, Ravi Kishan, Kubbra Sait, Sanjay Mishra, Chunky Pandey, Neeru Bajwa, Vindu Dara Singh, Deepak Dobriyal, Sharat Saxena, Ashwini Kalsekar, and Others
Director: Vijay Kumar Arora
Produced By:
Ajay Devgn, Jyoti Deshpande, NR Pachisia, and Pravin Talreja
Release Date: 1st August 2025

Ajay Devgn’s Son of Sardaar 2 hits cinemas this Friday, i.e., August 1. The film’s makers released two trailers, and the cast is star-studded with a sequel tag. Let us check how well this comedy drama has been made in our review.

Story:

After relocating to Scotland, Jassi (Ajy Devgn) is betrayed by his wife, Dimple (Neeru Bajwa), and meets Rabia (Mrunal Thakur), a Pakistani who has also been betrayed by her husband. The remainder of the movie focuses on the chaotic/humorous situations that Rabia and Jassi encounter.

Performances:

Ajay Devgn tries to lend some innocence and fun to his character, Jassi Randhawa, but he could show his impact only in a few scenes. Mrunal Thakur shows that she can also handle comedy with this film, but even her character is also not properly etched and leaves little effect.

Deepak Dobriyal and Ravi Kishan make some fun parts work with their natural ease, and one wishes the film could have given them more scope to excel. Kubbra Sait, Roshni Walia, Sahil Mehta, Chunky Panday, Vindu Singh, Mukul Dev, Ashwini Kalsekar, Neeru Bajwa, Dolly Ahluwalia, Sharat Saxena, and Sanjay Mishra are all okay.

Analysis:

Written by Jagdeep Singh Sidhu and Mohit Jain, the slapstick comedy is a stand-alone follow-up to Son of Sardaar (2012). The plot is thin, which needed a well-written screenplay with enough engaging/funny moments.

However, Son Of Sardaar 2 ends up as a loud and boring journey with only a few moments really working in its favor. For example, when Gogi’s family visits his house to finalize the wedding, Jassi portrays all three of the roles originally played by Sunny Deol, Suniel Shetty, and Jackie Shroff in a scene from Border.

The enitre sequence is turns out hilarious, and as said above, a few scenes work well because of the timing of Deepak Dobriyal and Ravi Kishan. But other than the film does not carry a proper mood or flow, and becomes convoluted and overflowing with characters and wannabe hilarious parts as the story goes on.

The climax of the film tries to give a message about relationships, but it is too dramatic, and predictable with an add on dragged moment at the ending

Positives:

  • Few Comedy Scenes
  • Songs

Negatives:

  • Absurd/Forced Humor
  • Ineffective Emotions
  • Pale Characters
  • Inconsistent Screenplay

Son Of Sardaar 2 Movie Review and Verdict:

Vijay Kumar Arora and Ajay Devgn’s Son of Sardaar 2 is a messy comedy outing that works only in parts and bores for the rest with chaotic narration, emotionally ineffective characters and lifeless fun moments.

0

Dil Raju’s Thammudu starring Nithin was made with the biggest budget in the former’s career. The film resulted in a big failure at the box office. Now, Dil Raju is under fire after Thammudu’s OTT release

Directed by Sriram Venu, the film failed to create any buzz before the release, and early shows opened with unanimous bad reviews, and the film could not bring many audiences into the theaters and ended up as the biggest disaster.

Dil Raju Faces Heavy Criticism as Nithin’s Thammudu Releases On OTT

The action drama started streaming on Netflix in all languages, and the people showed interest in watching the film because of Raju’s brand and Nithin and Sriram Venu’s names.

However, Dil Raju is under fire after Thammudu’s OTT release, as netizens post on social media that the film is unbearable to watch in the digital space as well.

Everyone says that Nithin’s previous films are way better than this film, and they are shocked at how Dil Raju was convinced by this story and how he put such a big budget on this.

Malayalis Unhappy with National Awards

0

The 71st National Awards were announced yesterday, and there is displeasure from most sections of the movie lovers, as they are not happy with the award selection. Especially, Malayalam audiences are unhappy with the National Awards.

Prithviraj Sukumaran worked for years and made a dream project, Aadu Jeevitham (The Goat Life), and everyone was certain that the film and his performance would receive national accolades.

Aadu Jeevitham Unrecognized By National Awards Committee: Malayalam Audiences Angry

However, the 71st National Awards announcement left many speechless, as the public felt many movies that deserved awards were ignored.

Malayalam audiences are unhappy with the National Awards, as they did not give the award to Prithviraj for Aadu Jeevitham (completed censor in 2023) and gave the best actor award to Shah Rukh Khan in Jawan, a mass masala entertainer.

Even the other language audiences also feel that Prithiviraj deserves the award for his performance in The Goat Life. Leaving aside the best actor, the film did not receive an award in any category.

Every time the National Awards are announced, there will certainly be criticism, and even this time it has not changed.

Coolie’s Censor Done: Fans and Trade are Curious about its Box Office Result

This can be said as a perfect runtime for a commercial movie, and it also marks the first A-rated film from Lokesh Kanagaraj. Even audiences are shocked to see an ‘A’ certificate for the film.

Also, a section of the audience is highly interested, as their anticipation doubled as they madly wait to see a full-on violent film from the Kaithi director.

Can Coolie Join the 1000 Cr Club Despite an A Rating?

With pan-India stars like Rajini, Nagarjuna, Aamir Khan, Upendra, Shoubin Shahir, Shruti Haasan, and others playing lead roles in the movie, fans and trade circles had pinned high hopes on the film, believing that the film would be the first-ever Rs 1,000 crore grosser in Tamil cinema history.

Traditionally, an A-rated movie never touched the Rs 1,000 crore mark. The recent example is Ranbir Kapoor and Sandeep Vanga’s Animal. Now, this aspect made a section of the audience curious about Rajinikanth and Lokesh Kanagaraj’s Coolie’s box office prospects.

The two blood-soaked posters that were recently unveiled by the makers feature Rajini and Nagarjuna in a never-before-seen raw and ruthless avatar as they hold a crowbar and a hammer, respectively, in their hands, indicating that Coolie is not for the fainthearted and family audiences.
