Devara started the overseas performance in a rampage mode with an opening of around $5.3 Million but witnessed a drop on Day 2 and Day 3 bringing the total weekend collections to around $7 Million. Despite the drop, the huge opening ensured a breakeven for the film in the next two days. A strict average mouth talk is said to have been the reason for the drop in the collections for Devara.

As said, big numbers were expected from such a strong start but the film had a disappointment with the drop. Trade expected that the film would be doing a minimum of 100 crores in the overseas market in the full run. But now there is no chance of reaching that mark. Collecting $10 Million in the full run is also an impossible task now in the overseas region with the drop that Devara witnessed.

However, the film’s performance is very strong in Telugu States. The film has also grossed more than 250 crores gross in the first weekend showing great hold. Monday i.e. Today’s performance for the film is crucial to take the momentum till the next weekend. Dussehra season may also add up as an advantage for the film’s long run performance.

Devara had an excellent performance at the box office for the first weekend. This is also one of the biggest first weekend performances for a film in Tollywood. The Total first weekend gross is in the range of 250 crores. Telugu version has obviously dominated the overall collections with Hindi being good. Tamil version disappointed and hasn’t put big numbers.

In the overseas market, the film’s opening has exceeded the expectations with 5.3 Million dollar performance. However Day 2 and Day 3’s performance has disappointed with a drop. Overall collections stand at 7 Million Dollars for the first weekend with most of them coming from the premieres and Day 1. The film will definitely achieve the breakeven mark and end up having profits.

Devara needs to collect 400 crores for a super hit status at the box office. It needs to hold good from tomorrow i.e., Monday until the second weekend arrives. Wednesday’s public holiday is also a big advantage for the film. Dussehra holidays scheduled from the next weekend will take the film’s box office prospects to another level.

Devara, the latest film of NTR and Koratala Siva is setting the box office on fire. The film even with its average mouth talk has shaken the box office by minting more than 200 crores at the box office in 2 days. But Day 2 i.e,. Saturday’s noon shows saw a drop and collections were close to 15 crore share in Telugu States including GST. Advance bookings for today i.e,. Sunday were lesser than Saturday’s. But Devara witnessed a box office boom today.

Trade expected Sunday’s shows revenue to be lesser considering the advance bookings on Saturday. But surprisingly Devara witnessed a massive walk-ins at start of the shows. Starting from Noon shows, the film trended on an extraordinary note. In many stations, the noon shows witnessed more than 50% of Saturday’s noon show occupancies. Because of this, many extra shows and theatres were added for the remaining shows.

Today Devara will definitely post bigger numbers than Saturaday’s in Telugu States. The second shows will decide how big the margin it had. Devara will literally set the box office on fire with the weekend performance. The recovery will be more than 75% after the end of the weekend. The film will definitely touch the 400 crore mark with Dussehra holidays coming in the next weekend.
