Postponement rumours surround Kuberaa

Kuberaa starring Dhanush is one of the most anticipated films of Tollywood and Kollywood. The film is also being made with a staggering budget of 125 crores. The team has already announced the release date to be 20th June worldwide. But, recently, there have been rumours of a possible postponement to Mid-July.

Many felt that the team took this decision to avoid a clash with many other exciting films releasing in June. There is Hari Hara Veera Mallu starring Pawan Kalyan arriving on 12th June and Thug Life on 5th June. But, the team has denied any postponement and declared that Kuberaa will be releasing on 20th June as scheduled.

The Teaser of Kuberaa is also being planned for release, and it may arrive soon. The team must continue the promotional activities to release the film on June 20th. The First Single of the film was already released, and it received good praise.

Kantara Chapter-1, the prequel to Kantara (2022), acted and directed by Rishab Shetty, was announced to be released on this year’s Mahatma Gandhi Jayanti. The film is currently under shooting, and amidst the postponement reports, Kantara makers slam rumors and confirm the release date.

For a few days, there were multiple reports that suggested that due to delays in shooting progress, Kantara Chapter 1 is likely to be postponed from 2nd October to the first half. However, the Kantara makers slam rumors and confirm the release date.

Kantara Team Re-Confirms the Release Date

The producers took to their official social media account and stated that they are still on track for the 2nd of October , 2025 release. “We kindly urge everyone to avoid speculation and refrain from sharing unverified updates,” said the official post.

Though the makers reiterated the date, we might have to wait for some more time to get a clear picture of Rishab Shetty’s Kantara prequel. Because, for a pan-India biggie, a team needs many days for promotions.

The makers need to complete the shooting by August to cater to the required time, as the Kantara prequel needs pan-India promotions and huge post-production works to have a smooth release on October 2.
