Prakash Raj Nagababu Clash Over Lord Rama Remarks

0

Actor Prakash Raj has sparked massive controversy with his recent remarks on Lord Rama, drawing a fierce response from Jana Sena MLC Nagababu. The actor’s comments at a recent event have triggered nationwide backlash and multiple complaints across India.

What Prakash Raj Said About Lord Rama

During a recent event, Prakash Raj shared his interpretation of the Ramayana and the character of Lord Rama. He stated that Rama belonged to North India, while Ravana was part of a tribal community from South India—a comment many felt could provoke regional divisions.

He further claimed that the war between them began merely over the “theft of fruits,” a statement that deeply hurt the sentiments of devotees. The remarks quickly went viral, sparking widespread outrage on social media.

Nationwide Backlash and Legal Action

Several complaints have reportedly been filed against the actor in different parts of the country. The hashtag #BanPrakashRaj has been trending online, with thousands expressing their anger over what they view as disrespect toward Hindu beliefs.

This is not the first time Prakash Raj has faced controversy over religious commentary, with previous incidents also drawing public criticism.

Nagababu’s Strong Warning to Prakash Raj

Reacting strongly on X (formerly Twitter), Nagababu condemned Prakash Raj’s statements in no uncertain terms.

“Lord Sri Ram is not just a deity of one religion; he represents righteousness itself,” Nagababu wrote. “If someone thinks insulting Lord Rama is an act of bravery, it is nothing but arrogance and ignorance.”

He added, “Those who mock the name of Rama will only bring about their own downfall. They cannot harm Sanatana Dharma. History has shown what happens to those who stand against dharma, and the same fate awaits those who spread venom against Lord Rama.”

The Prakash Raj Nagababu clash has further intensified the debate, with the issue continuing to dominate discussions across social media platforms.

Nikhil’s Crucial Film Swayambhu May Miss Summer Release

0

Swayambhu, a crucial project for hero Nikhil Siddhartha, faces growing uncertainty about its planned summer 2026 release as VFX work continues to take longer than expected.

February to Summer: A Timeline of Delays

The pan-India period film was initially targeting May but has faced multiple postponements. Originally announced for a February 2026 release, it was pushed back due to pending post-production work, primarily VFX-heavy sequences. The team later aimed for a summer release, targeting a date in May, most likely towards the end of the month. However, an official release date has not been announced yet, and promotions are being carried out with only a “summer release” tag.

Promotional Push Continues Despite Date Uncertainty

Recently, the team released the first single Ra Ra Dheevara, which received a strong response from audiences. The promotional content has created strong anticipation, showcasing the film’s scale and Nikhil’s intense performance as a Hanuman devotee in this period drama.

VFX Delays and Summer Competition

Now, there is growing speculation within the industry that Swayambhu might miss the summer window entirely, as the VFX work is taking longer than anticipated. If it doesn’t release in May, June may not be a viable option either, with several major films already scheduled for that month, including Lenin, Toxic, and Peddi. The crowded June calendar leaves little room for another major release.

July Release Looking More Likely

In that case, the team may have to push the release to July, which would give them additional time to complete the extensive VFX work without compromising quality. For Nikhil Siddhartha, Swayambhu represents a crucial stepping stone in his pan-India ambitions, and the team appears committed to delivering a polished final product rather than rushing to meet the summer deadline.

The film’s teaser and promotional material have already established high expectations, making the release date decision even more critical for its commercial prospects.

Dil Raju vs Mythri: Clash of Tollywood Giants

0

The box office gears up for an interesting face-off this May Day, as two major banners—Dil Raju and Mythri Movie Makers—prepare for yet another clash. Both banners hold strong positions in the Telugu film industry and consistently back high-profile projects. Over the years, they have built a visible rivalry and often acknowledge it in public interactions. Their films frequently compete for similar release windows, which adds more heat to their equation and keeps trade circles engaged.

A Rivalry That Keeps Reigniting

This time, the clash centers on Gayapadda Simham, backed by Dil Raju, and Jetlee, produced by Mythri Movie Makers. Both films will release in theatres on May 1, a strategic holiday slot that usually guarantees strong openings. Gayapadda Simham appears to lean towards a commercial entertainer with colorful, crowd-pleasing elements and a broader appeal. On the other hand, Jetlee hints at a more stylized action drama, with its poster showcasing a rugged lead and explosive visual tone. The contrast in genres could play a key role in attracting different audience segments.

High Stakes at the Box Office

This clash carries significant weight due to the scale and reputation of both production houses. Screen count, show timings, and early audience response will shape the outcome in the first few days. At the same time, such box office battles often work in favor of both films by generating additional buzz and curiosity. Audiences tend to explore both options, especially during holiday releases. As May 1 approaches, industry watchers will track every update closely. The real test will lie in content strength and word of mouth, which will ultimately decide who gains the upper hand in this high-stakes showdown.

Can Shouryuv Be Vijay Devarakonda’s Comeback Director?

0

Vijay Devarakonda stands at a key point in his career. He still enjoys a strong fan base, but his recent films like Kushi and Kingdom did not deliver the expected box office impact. Both projects had promising elements, yet they fell short of becoming major commercial successes. As a result, the pressure on his next film has increased. In that context, #VDXShouryav looks more like a strategic comeback than a routine release.

Shouryuv’s Solid Debut Sets the Tone

Director Shouryuv impressed audiences with his debut film Hi Nanna. The film connected well with viewers and earned positive reviews from critics. It stood out for its emotional depth and simple storytelling. Shouryuv handled sentiment with control and avoided unnecessary melodrama. Because of this, many now expect him to deliver another engaging story with his second film.

A Big-Budget Gamble with Global Ambitions

The buzz around #VDXShouryav highlights its scale and ambition. The team has brought in international technicians and spent over a year on planning. They aim to create a polished cinematic experience with global appeal. The makers also plan a wide release to reach a larger audience. For Vijay Devarakonda, this film offers a chance to reset his career with strong content. If the film clicks, it could restore his box office momentum.

To authentically portray this character, she has committed herself to mastering the action sequences while capturing the cultural essence of the Gond tribes. This marks a departure from her previous work and aligns with her expanding range into diverse genres, including potential action projects in Bollywood.

Peddi June Release Date: Ram Charan Film Faces Clash

0

Ram Charan‘s Peddi has officially been announced for a June release, but the exact date remains unclear. The team is considering two slots: June 4 and June 25. However, both dates already have major releases scheduled, creating a scheduling puzzle.

Release Date Options and Clashes

The Peddi June release is complicated by existing commitments from two other films. Here’s the current landscape:

FilmPlanned DateStatus
PeddiJune 4 or June 25Considering options
ToxicJune 4Confirmed by team
LeninJune 26Re-confirmed

June 4 — Waiting on Toxic

The first option for Peddi is June 4. The team is hoping Toxic might get postponed again, but Yash’s film currently stands firm on its June 4 release. The Toxic team has denied postponement rumors to distributors, making this slot uncertain for Peddi.

June 25 — The Lenin Factor

If Toxic holds its June 4 date, the Peddi team is eyeing June 25 as the backup. This creates potential friction with Lenin, scheduled for June 26. The Lenin team had earlier blamed Peddi for their postponement from May 1, though the reasons were different. Whether they would shift again if Peddi locks June 25 is unclear.

Production Update

The team is currently busy with post-production work. A special item song is still pending, which may influence the final release date decision. An official announcement is expected once the production status and competitor release plans become clearer.

Directed by Buchi Babu, Peddi has faced multiple delays from its original April 30 slot. The June release window adds another layer of complexity with established release commitments from competing films.

Bhooth Bangla Review: Falls Short of Expectations

0
Movie Name Bhooth Bangla
Rating 2.5/5
Cast Akshay Kumar, Tabu, Wamiqa Gabbi
Director Priyadarshan
Produced By Ektaa R Kapoor, Shobha Kapoor, Akshay Kumar
Release Date 17th Apr, 2026

The Bhooth Bangla review is here. This 2026 Indian Hindi horror-comedy marks the reunion of actor Akshay Kumar and director Priyadarshan after 14-16 years. Produced by Balaji Telefilms and Cape of Good Films, Bhooth Bangla brings back the iconic duo that delivered the original Bhool Bhulaiyaa. Let’s see if this combo meets fans’ expectations.

Story

The story begins when Arjun comes back to India from London. He has a straightforward plan: to hold his sister’s wedding at their beautiful ancestral bungalow. However, things change rapidly as he faces several surprising incidents upon his arrival. He soon discovers a startling secret related to the house. The remainder of the film focuses on how Arjun resolves the issue in the bungalow and ensures that his sister’s wedding takes place there.

Performances

Akshay Kumar delivers a convincing performance and excels in the comedy scenes, along with a few emotional scenes as well. Paresh Rawal and Rajpal Yadav deliver some hilarious moments along with the late Asrani Ji, while Tabu, Wamiqa Gabbi, Jisshu Sengupta, Manoj Joshi, Mithila Palkar, and Rajesh Sharma are also apt.

Analysis

Renowned director Priyadarshan reunites with Akshay Kumar after a long gap for Bhooth Bangla, and fans expected nothing less than the original magic—Bhool Bhulaiyaa‘s first part from the combo.

It is widely known that the second and third parts of the Bhool Bhulaiyaa series were acted and directed by others, not Akshay Kumar and Priyadarshan. Now, these expectations work in favor of the movie at a few places, and they work against it at a few places.

The first half of Bhooth Bangla has hilarious moments which keep the flow going, and an interesting hook of the folklore opens at the interval. The second half neatly explains the backstory and its connection with the folklore, followed by some comedy moments again, and a well-managed climax.

Fans who expect the same kind of setup or vintage fun from Akshay Kumar and Priyadarshan do not feel too bad about the film’s predictable storyline. Similar to the recent Raakaasa horror-comedy, mixing laughs with scares remains a challenge in the genre.

However, fans with higher expectations may not enjoy this Bhooth Bangla review verdict, as the film feels reminiscent of older horror movies. There is nothing new in the screenplay, except for a brief moment in the opening act of Vasudhur’s character.

The comedy works well for the major part of the film’s first half, but the fear factor does not work in the latter half, where the fun takes the backseat. The climax and the twist in the final scene are alright.

Bhooth Bangla Review: Positives and Negatives

Positives

  • First half comedy and flow
  • Vadhusar character introduction
  • Emotional scenes and climax
  • Star cast nostalgia

Negatives

  • Routine, predictable story
  • Dragged scenes in second half
  • Underwhelming music
  • Weak fear factor

Final Verdict

Priyadarshan and Akshay Kumar‘s Bhooth Bangla emerges as an average horror comedy. The comedy in the first half, some emotional moments in the second half, and the nostalgia factor because of the star cast work well for the film. On the flip side, the predictability in the proceedings and not-so-thrilling backstory work against it.

Chiyaan Vikram’s ‘First Flame’ Teaser Out!

0

The makers have officially unveiled Chiyaan 63, marking the next big project of Vikram. The announcement came with a striking “First Flame” teaser, released as a special occasion for the actor. The poster features Vikram in a dark, silhouette-heavy look, instantly setting a serious and intense tone. Accompanied by the line “What starts as a flame ends in a blaze,” the film appears to hint at a gripping narrative centered on transformation, power, and possibly revenge. With this early glimpse, the makers have successfully sparked curiosity among fans.

Strong Team Powers the Film

The project brings together a solid creative team. Anand Shankar directs the film, known for handling stylish action entertainers with unique concepts. Meanwhile, Santhosh Narayanan composes the music, which raises expectations for a powerful soundtrack. The film is backed by Sathya Jyothi Films, a banner known for mounting large-scale productions. Producers Senthil Thyagarajan and Arjun Thyagarajan continue their association with notable projects, adding credibility to the venture. This combination of talent suggests a film that aims to balance strong storytelling with commercial appeal.

Teaser Sets the Tone

The “First Flame” teaser keeps things minimal yet effective, focusing on mood rather than revealing plot details. Vikram’s intense profile shot hints at a character with depth and complexity. At the same time, the visual style points toward a dark, action-driven narrative. As Vikram’s 63rd film, expectations are naturally high, especially given his track record of choosing challenging roles. With a promising start and a capable team in place, Chiyaan 63 has already positioned itself as one of the most anticipated upcoming Tamil films.
