Details Of Arundathi Bollywood Remake Rights

Allu Aravind established Geetha Arts in 1972 and produced many successful films. He entered Bollywood and released a couple of movies with Chiranjeevi like Prathiband and Gentleman. Later, he bankrolled some small budget films in Hindi and he delivered a blockbuster Ghazni with Aamir Khan. After this, he became busy with Telugu films and recently he launched his digital wing Aha. Almost after 12 years, Allu Aravind to produce two Bollywood projects and both of these are the remakes of two successful Tollywood movies.

Allu Aravind is co-producing the Hindi version of Nani’s Jersey with Dil Raju featuring Shahid Kapoor as the main lead. Gautham Thinnenuri who directed the Telugu version will direct this project too. Now, the latest news is that Allu Aravind is planning to remake Arundathi in Hindi. Recently, he bagged the remake rights of Arundathi from Shyam Prasad Reddy.

Arundathi stood as the highest-grosser in 2009. It was directed by Kodi Rama Krishna starring Anushka Shetty in the lead role. Anushka lived in the character of Jejamma and this movie remained as a milestone in her career. Arundathi won 10 Nandhi Awards and a couple of Filmfare awards.

Deepika Padukone might play the title role in the Hindi version of Arundathi. Deepika earlier acted in the periodic movies like Bajirao Mastani and Padmavat. So, it is easy to act for her in this movie. Deepika Padukone will also be seen in Prabhas-Nag Ashwin project. Let’s see how for Deepika impresses audience as Jejamma.

There are many OTT giants like Netflix, Hotstar, Amazon Prime Video, Zee5 etc but Allu Aravind is the first to launch an OTT platform Aha exclusively for Telugu content. Later some other people also wanted to travel on the same path. Anil Sunkara announced his own OTT platform AKOriginals which will be launched soon. An infrastructure company MEIL is also planning to enter the OTT world and a senior actor Ravi Raja is currently supervising this.

According to the latest reports, two star producers are making their way to the OTT business. Dil Raju who knows the audience’s pulse releases the right projects at the right time. His current project V has got whopping offers for its direct OTT release but he rejected the offer. Dil Raju got impressed after watching some originals and movies on OTT and decided to enter the digital world. He will soon join hands with Allu Aravind and start making the digital content. Another star producer, Suresh Babu is also planning to put his leg on OTT platforms. His recent product, Krishna and His Leela was released in the last month and received hit talk. The groundwork for his new OTT platform has already started and an official announcement is expected in the coming days. Rana Daggupati developed an animated series during his quarantine and this might be the maiden release from the new OTT by Suresh Productions.

Vyjayanthi Movies is now making a PAN Indian project starring Prabhas as the main lead and this sci-fi thriller will be directed by Mahanati fame Nag Ashwin. Recently, an official announcement was made about the female lead of this project. Bollywood beauty Deepika Padukone is roped in as a heroine next to Prabhas. The buzz is that Deepika to take a whopping remuneration of 18 crores of being part of this movie. Generally, Deepika takes 12-14 crores per movie but #Prabhas21 being a high-budget PAN Indian project she decided to hike her remuneration. The producer accepted her demand and this is the highest remuneration for any Indian actress.

Deepika is now busy with her coming movie 83 based the life story of Kapil Dev which features Ranveer Singh as the main lead. On the other hand, Prabhas is working for Radhe Shyam directed by Jil fame Radha Krishna. However, #Prabhas21 is expected to go on sets in the first half of 2021.

Now, Stylish Star Allu Arjun joins hands with Mahi V Raghav for a political drama produced by PVP Cinema. The latest news is that the director narrated the story to Bunny and Bunny got impressed with it. This script is more based on true incidents taken place in the political history of Telugu states.

The buzz is that Allu Arjun will be seen in the Chief Minister’s role which resembles the looks and character of our present CM YS Jagan. The plot revolves around a journey of a young man to Chief Minister. Netizens started calling it as the sequel of Yatra which might be an unofficial biopic of Jagan. Allu Arjun is currently acting in a PAN Indian project Pushpa directed by Sukumar and the team is planning to resume their shooting in Andhra Pradesh forests as the Kerala government refused to permit the shooting in Kerala. Gopichand has been struggling to deliver a commercial success since the release of Loukyam in 2015. Recently, he heard a story from Maruthi and found it to be very interesting and looking for final narration to give a nod.

Maruthi has created a new template which narrates a family story with a hilarious touch and the lead roles will have some sort of minor disorders. He gave a grand farewell to 2019 with a super hit film Prati Roju Pandage. After this, he has not announced his next project.
