While some celebrities are campaigning about the precautions to take during this situation whereas some others are showing their social responsibility with videos and tweets.
In this context, Tollywood hero Nandamuri Bala Krishna is distributing immune building medicines like homeopathy and vitamin tablets from his Basava Tharakam Cancer Hospital to every 24 crafts members of the Tollywood Industry. Nothing is for publicity as Bala Krishna didn’t announce anything about it either in his recent interviews or in his social media.
One of the star Director V V Vinayak said in his words that “Immune building Homeo medicines and vitamin tablets are been given from Basava Tharakam Cancer Hospital for the foresight of our health due to Covid-19 as this idea is initiated by Bala Krishna. Not only to me but these supplements are given to every 24 crafts members of our industry. I’m thankful for remembering me specially and for sending me these supplements”.
Nithiin says goodbye to his bachelor life. Nithiin and Shalini have seen each other and decided to become life partners. Nithiin’s wedding was scheduled a few months ago but it was postponed due to the pandemic situations. A few days ago he celebrated his grand engagement ceremony followed by the pre-wedding function which was attended by a few guests including Pawan Kalyan, Trivikram and producer ChinaBabu. Finally, the time has come, Nithiin is getting married to Shalini at 8:30 PM.
Nithiin after delivering a hilarious entertainer like Bheeshma joined hands with Tholiprema fame Venky Atluri for a colourful film titled Rang De starring Keerthi Suresh opposite to Nithiin. This projected being bankrolled by Surya Devara Naga Vamshi under Sithara Entertainments banner while Devi Sri Prasad is composing music. On the occasion of Nithiin’s wedding, the team of Rang De released the movie teaser.
Talking about the teaser, the pair of Nithiin and Keethy looks fresh on-screen in the roles of Arjun and Anu. A short teaser about 1 min and it hints that the plot revolves around the drama of love and marriage. At last, Nithiin was teased for getting married in the real-life. The moviemakers are looking for the Sankranthi release of 2021 and the same was shown in the teaser.
Alongside Rang De Nithiin has three more projects in his pipeline. Recently, he signed a Telugu remake of Andhadhun which will be helmed by Merlapaka Gandhi under Shresth Movies banner. Chal Mohan Ranga fame Krishna Chaitanya to direct Nithin for the second time for a high voltage political drama tentatively tilted Power Peta. Power Star Pawan Kalyan is currently staying at his farmhouse and spending his devotional time. Pawan has started Chaturmasya Deeksha for the welfare of the people. Every year he takes up this to acquire peace and gain mental strength but this year he prays the Almighty to save mankind from the coronavirus pandemic.
Generally, Pawan Kalyan by his nature likes to be very simple and does not like to give interviews but he decided to release his interview in a series through the official youtube channel of JanaSena party. The series of three parts was started streaming a couple of days ago and the last part was released yesterday.
Pawan Kalyan spoke mostly regarding the political issues throughout his interview and when the reporter has raised a topic about his upcoming movies, he answered that all the film shootings are on pause due to the outbreak of the virus and nobody knows when they will be resumed. He also added that even though Chiranjeevi with few other industry people had a meeting with government officials and got permission but they are not in a state to go for the shoot. This is because if any person from the cast or crew infects with the virus, later the whole team has to regret it. He suggested every individual to be careful and also mentioned that even Indian legendary actor like Amitabh Bachchan was infected. Finally, he concluded saying that the shootings can only be resumed after the release of vaccine and till then everyone has to wait helplessly.
Pawan Kalyan recently attended the pre-wedding celebrations of hero Nithiin who is basically a very big fan of Pawan Kalyan. Nithiin took to Twitter and shared a picture of this occasion. Along with Pawan Kalyan director Trivikram and producer Chinnababu.
Pawan Kalyan is keen on his next three projects. He is currently working for Vakeel Saab which is left a 30-day shoot directed by Venu Sriram produced by Dil Raju and Boney Kapoor. #PSPK27 completed its first schedule which is being directed by Krish and bankrolled by A.M. Ratnam. Pawan Kalyan signed one more project with Mythri Movie Makers which will be directed by Harish Shankar S.
Kannada actor Upendra became familiar to Telugu audience with his Deva Raj role in S/O Satyamurty. Though it was his first straight film in Telugu, he was known for his dubbed films like A, Upendra, Super etc. After S/O Satyamurthy, Upendra got many offers in Tollywood but he didn’t sign any project as he is very selective in choosing the scripts. But, recently he was approached for a crucial role in Varun Tej’s next movie.
Diving into the details, after the success of GaddhalaKonda Ganesh Varun Tej, announced his next project in a boxing backdrop, which was tentatively titled as Boxer. This movie went on sets from February in Visakhapatnam and its first schedule was wrapped before the lockdown. However currently, the shooting is halted due to the pandemic situation and meanwhile news about Varun Tej’s father role is surfing on the internet. When Upendra was offered a role in Boxer, he liked the plot and his characterization too. So, he has given a green signal to act as a father to Varun in Boxer. The inside news is that father-son scenes are written well and will show the close bonding between them. Nadiya to play the mother’s role of Varun and hence will be seen as a female lead next to Upendra.
Dabbang 3 fame Saiee Manjrekar is roped in as a female lead and Suneel Shetty as an antagonist. Boxer is being helmed by a debutant director Kiran Korrapati, produced by Allu Venkatesh and Sundeep Mudda while S.S.Thaman is composing music. The moviemakers are planning to resume the shoot with Delhi or Hyderabad schedule from the mid-September.
Allu Aravind launched an OTT platform Aha video exclusively for Telugu content. He has been following several market strategies to make Aha as an OTT giant. As part of it, he made some deals with many star directors and actresses.
Now, he is planning a female-oriented web series that might star a popular face. BVS Ravi is penning dialogues for this series. Allu Aravind fixed the title of this series as Rudraveena. Mega Star Chiranjeevi acted in a movie Rudraveenna released in 1988. It was directed by a classical director Balachander and this movie received national awards.
Generally, Mega Star’s movie titles are well-known to the audiences and recent movies like GangLeader, Khaidi and Donga repeated Chiru’s titles to grab the attention craze. Allu Aravind also thought the same and decided to title his forthcoming web-series as Rudraveena.
Anushka Shetty who is well-known actress in South India is now taking at most care in finalizing scripts. After Baahubali series she appeared only in 2-3 films and her current project Nishabdam is waiting for its release.
Nishabdam is a multi-lingual film which will be releasing in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam simultaneously. Though the makers of Nishabdam where in talks with OTT platforms earlier for direct release the team seems to withdraw and wait for theaters to re-open. Anushka Shetty is now teaming up with Tamil Star actor Vijay Sethupathi for the first time. Director A.L Vijay will be directing this film. Earlier Director Vijay and Anushka worked for two successful Tamil films Thaandavam and Deiva Thirumagal. Currently, Vijay is busy directing the biopic of late CM Jayalalithaa. This is film is titled Thalaivi which is in its final leg of shoot. On the other hand, Vijay Sathupathi has a couple of films in his hand and his Master which stars Vijay in the lead role is waiting for theatrical release.

Story: Kizie Basu (Sanjana Sanghi) is undergoing treatment for thyroid cancer. She comes across Immanuel Rajkumar Junior aka Manny (Sushant Singh Rajput) who is recovering from osteosarcoma. Unlike her, he is leading happy and is very optimistic about the future. How did the both of them get along and how did they impact each other’s lives forms the story.
Performances: Sushant Singh is a delight to watch. He is at ease in romantic and emotional scenes. This film reminds us one last time about how talented he was and what a big loss his death is to Indian cinema. His single take dance moves in Dil Bechara title track deserve a special mention. Sanjana Sanghi makes a stunning debut. She is absolutely perfect in her role of an innocent and matured girl and deserves as much credit as Sushant for holding this film. Saswata Chatterjee and Swastika Mukherjee are good as the Bengali parents.
Technicalities: Camerawork is very good and suits the feel of the film. Both Jamshedpur and Paris have been captured brilliantly. AR Rahman’s music flows along with the film. Editing is appropriate and movie is only 100 minutes long.
Opinion: This movie is based on the English novel and film “The Fault in our stars”. The story is simple and wafer-thin and for those who have seen the original, the predictability factor also comes into play. Despite all this, what holds the film are the performances of the lead pair and their very adorable chemistry. It’s a delight to watch Sushant and Sanjana together in the same frame. They make an incredible pair and it is sad that we cannot see more of them together. Director Mukesh Chhabra has dealt the film well and has managed to create magic between the lead pair. Despite some slow and weak portions here and there, we tend to get involved into Sushant’s last performance and we easily overlook these minor issues.
Bottom-Line: Dil Bechara is an emotional ride and surely deserves a watch to witness Sushant perform one last time.

The Beginning:
Director A Karunakaran noticed Pawan Kalyan on a Magazine Cover photo and decided to make a film with him. That’s how Tholiprema was started. Later, he came to know that Kalyan is the brother of his favourite hero Mega Star Chiranjeevi. His decision got even firm and went to Pawan Kalyan to narrate the story of Tholiprema. A funny incident had taken place while Karunakaran was narrating the story, suddenly Pawan took a revolver from his pocket and placed it on the table. After seeing it, Karunakaran was frightened and Pawan Kalyan started laughing and asked to continue the story. However, Pawan got impressed and signed the project under the production of G.V.G Raju.
Plot:
Tholiprema, the name itself speaks about the first love. This film portrays the beautiful love story of a young couple Balu(Pawan Kalyan) and Anu(Keerthy Reddy). Alongside a love track, Karuna Karan created many other elements like Friends, Family emotions and sister’s sentiment which are more relatable to everyone’s individual life.
Pawan Kalyan’s performance:
Pawan Kalyan has breath life into the role of Balu. His performance was so natural that audience could easily relate to his character. His costumes and the RX 100 bike that was used by him in Tholiprema attracted the youth of those days. There were so many scenes in the movie that people can relate to. Father scolding the son, teasing sister, and the emotional bonding between friends and family. The other cast also performed well.
Karunakaran’s Brilliance:
Karunakaran was just 27 years old when he directed Tholiprema. Though it was his debut directorial he dealt the script extremely well and gifted a classical hit to Pawan Kalyan’s fans. Definitely, we have to discuss the heroine intro scene. On the festival of Diwali, the hero happens to see the heroine in the cracker’s lights. The birthday gift is one more example of Karunakaran’s brilliance. This is the best heroine introduction in any movie till date. He made Tholiprema as a perfectly balanced entertainer with love, comedy, emotions, sentiment in equal quantity.
Sound Track and Technicality:
Deva composed an album of 5 songs which arrive situationally on screen. Each song is unique in its style and added completeness to the movie. Yemaindo Emo song was remixed for Nithinn’s Gunde Jaari Gallayanthayyinde. Nithinn always says that Tholiprema is his favourite movie and Pawan Kalyan is his inspiration for him to become an actor. Earlier, the moviemakers thought of giving up the Taj Mahal set in the song of Gagananiki Udayam due to some budget limitations but Pawan Kalyan had cut his remuneration and asked to erect the sets and later the song became super hit. The other technicians like Dialogue writer Ramana, Art director Anand Sai, DOP Maheedar also well justified their roles.
Box-Office:
Tholiprema completed a successful 50-day run in 54 centres, 100-day run in 17 centres and also a 175-day run in 5 direct centres. It collected a Worldwide share of 7.5Crs+ through it’s theatrical run.
Awards:
Tholiprema bagged the National award for the best feature film in Telugu. Director Karunakaran was honoured with a couple of Nandi Awards for the best screenplay writer and the best debut director.
Remakes:
Tholiprema was remade in Hindi as Mujhe Kuch Kehna Hain and in Kannada as Preethsu Thappenilla. Both these films were successful at the box-office.
Conclusion:
The USP of Tholiprema is that the lead pair won’t express their love towards each other till the climax. The climax airport scene was designed well and heart-touching. Finally, all these factors made Tholiprema a cult classic in Pawan Kalyan’s and Karunakaran’s career.
