The clock is ticking and the countdown has started for the biggest release of 2022. SS Rajamouli’s RRR is all set to hit the screens worldwide on January 7th and the RRR team has indeed planned something special this time around.
Premiere shows have been planned in the Telugu states and they will start from 6 PM on 6th January. Overall 2
2 shows are being planned for these premieres. This will help a great deal in opening collections as well as generating further hype on opening day.
SS Rajamouli’s previous blockbuster Baahubali 2 also followed a similar premiere style and the rest is history. The Baahubali premieres helped a great deal in establishing all-time record-opening collections. However, this time along with the release day euphoria, there’s also the pertaining fear of Covid.
A number of theatres across the country are slashing their occupancies to 50%. Many theatres are also shutting shows after the evening due to the government-mandated evening curfew. In such a situation it needs to be seen if these paid premieres work out or not for SS Rajamouli and team.
