Telangana government gives a green signal for hike in ticket prices

The ticket prices issue has taken a contrasting route in the two Telugu states. While the pricing issue in AP is in court right now, the Telangana government on the other hand has given a green signal to hike the prices.

The Telangana government has issued a G.O which has given guidelines to theaters and multiplexes about the increase in prices as per the seating class. The minimum price for tickets in an AC theatre is now Rs 50/- + GST while the maximum price is Rs 150/-+ GST.

Coming to multiplexes, the minimum pricing decided is at Rs 100/- +GST while the max pricing is at Rs 250/-+ GST. In case of recliners, the maximum pricing has been established as Rs 300+ GST.

For non-AC theatres, the minimum price set is Rs 30/-+ GST while the maximum ticket price is Rs 70/-+ GST. The maintenance charges have also been set as Rs 3/- in case of non-AC theatres and Rs 5/- in case of AC theatres.
