Ace producer Dil Raju held a small media meet on Wednesday and gave a number of updates on his upcoming projects. The meet was a part of Vakeel Saab’s promotions. Speaking about Pawan Kalyan’s Vakeel Saab, Raju said that Power Star’s entry would happen very soon into the movie- at around 15 minutes. Interestingly, both in Pink and Nerkonda Paarvai, Amitabh Bachchan and Ajith entered much later. The movie will release on the 9th of April worldwide.
Speaking about Ram Charan’s upcoming pan India movie with Shankar, Raju said that the regular shoot of #RC 15 will start in July. Raju also updated the media on a few of his other films. He said that Naga Chaitanya starter Vikram K Kumar directorial, Thank You’s last schedule is currently in progress and a release date will be announced soon.
He also added that Venu Sriram and Allu Arjun’s Icon movie is also pretty much on and that he will be sharing more updates on it once work resumes on it.
Raju also refuted the rumors of a hit to the theatre occupancy due to covid. “No surprise appearances. CoVID is the new normal. We have to move on in our lives taking precautions. Nobody can stop our audiences, they will come to theatres. I have no info about 50% occupancy limits but don’t think our film will be affected,” he added.

Salaar marching ahead with full force
Darling Prabhas’ Salaar has kept the fans on the hook ever since the movie was announced. Fans are eagerly waiting to see Prabhas in an out-and-out commercial action flick which Prashant Neel is famous for. The first look released also gave off rustic and rugged vibes taking fans’ expectations to new heights. The shooting is ongoing with full force and some heavy action sequences are in the making.
The Salaar team is currently preparing for the Gujarat schedule. This schedule will have some major action sequences shot and will begin in the third week of this month. Salaar recently completed its first schedule at Godavarikhani last month. The makers are leaving no stone unturned to ensure the best output. Produced by Hombale films, Salaar also has Shruti Haasan opposite Prabhas.
Meanwhile, Prabhas is simultaneously shooting for Om Raut’s Adipurush as well. Adipurush also stars Kriti Sanon and Saif Ali Khan.
Consequences of creative differences
After RRR, NTR and Trivikram were reported to be teaming up for the second time after Aravinda Sametha Veera Raghava. However, as per the latest reports, its’ being said that the project is now shelved. Creative differences between the Trivikram and NTR is being cited as the reason for the movie’s shelving.
Both the actor and the director have now moved on to their other projects. According to inside sources, Trivikram has now moved on to his project with Mahesh Babu. He had earlier narrated the script to Superstar who has okayed it. This movie will go on floors in either August or September 2021 after Sarkaru Vaari Paata with Parasuram.
Meanwhile, NTR has also moved on to other projects and his next movies post RRR would be with Koratala Siva and Buchi Babu Sana. NTR had earlier worked with Koratala on Janatha Garage. Whether NTR and Trivikram would pick up this project later on after their respective movies need to be seen.
Jathi Ratnalu’s OTT release date locked
Naveen Polishetty and Faria Abdullah starrer Jathi Ratnalu’s OTT release date has been locked and finalized. The movie will be streaming on Amazon Prime from 10:30 pm, 10th April onwards.
Directed by Anudeep KV, this comedy-drama has been one of the biggest success stories of Tollywood this year. The movie was well appreciated by the audience for its light-hearted storytelling and gags. Jathi Ratnalu follows the story of 3 unemployed youth from Jogipet and their adventures in Hyderabad where they move looking for a better life.
Released on 11th March, the movie reported great occupancy as well as collections from all over. Radhan’s music also played a massive role in the success of the movie with the’ Chitti’ song ending up as a chartbuster. The movie collected Rs 35 crore worldwide within the first 2 weeks and is still going steady in some areas.
All eyes on Pushpa teaser!
With Pushpa teaser set to launch today, everyone is waiting with bated breath to witness the world of Pushparaj. Ever since the project was announced, massive hype was created owing to Allu Arjun and Sukumar’s track record. The teaser will launch at 6:12 PM today and it has got the social media trending already.
Each and every update from the makers are increasing the expectations on this action thriller. Adding to this, the ‘Prelude of Pushpa’ launched on April 3rd has generated great buzz for the teaser. The 18 seconds long video has garnered 9.6 million views as of now.

Young actor from Dil Raju’s family to debut soon
Maverick producer Dil Raju is all set to launch a young actor from his family. His nephew, Ashish will soon be making his acting debut with ‘Rowdy Boys’. Raju’s Sri Venkateswara Creations will bankroll the project and Raju along with Sirish will be the producers for this one.
Harsha Konuganti will direct this youthful entertainer. He earlier made 2018 comedy-drama Husharu. Anupama Parameswaran will star opposite the young actor in his debut. Rowdy Boys will be a Devi Sri Prasad musical and Madhie will handle the cinematography.
The news of the launch of a hero from Dil Raju’s family has been doing rounds for quite some time. Now with the confirmation on it, we will have to wait and watch whether Ashish is successful in impressing the audience. An introduction video has been planned by makers which will be launched tomorrow.
Malayalam actor joins Ravi Teja’s Khiladi
Noted Malayalee actor Unni Mukundan who made his Telugu debut with NTR starrer Janatha Garage has joined the cast of Ravi Teja’s Khiladi. He also impressed the audience with his settled acting opposite Anushka in ‘Bhaagmathie’.
According to Director Ramesh Verma it was Unni’s terrific screen presence that made him perfect for the role. Unni will be playing the role of Ravi Teja’s colleague in Khiladi. “He’s a gifted talent, and that can be evidently seen in his Malayalam and Telugu films. His ability to quickly grasp the scene and deliver is truly commendable,” added Verma.
Meanwhile, the film also features Arjun Sarja, Dimple Hayathi, and Meenakshi Chaudhary. Ravi Teja will be essaying a dual role in this action entertainer produced by Studios LLP. Devi Sri Prasad is composing the music for a Ravi Teja movie after 9 years. The last collaboration between the two was the 2012 movie Saroccharu.
11th Hour Trailer : It’s Tamannah’s show all the way
The trailer of Tamannah starrer 11th Hour dropped on Tuesday and without any doubt, she steals the show. This eight-episode long web- series tells the story of the corporate world where power is the ultimate goal. 11th Hour Trailer takes us deep into the world of corporate politics and the lengths people can go to achieve their desires.
Tamannah is playing the lead role of Aratrika Reddy who has to rise against the odds to protect her company. Directed by Praveen Sattaru, the series will premiere on Aha from 9th April. This is Tamannah’s digital debut and from the looks of it, she has totally aced her part of Aratrika Reddy.
The series also features Vamsi Krishna, Adith Arun, Pavithra Lokesh, and Jayprakash in lead roles. Praveen Sattaru earlier in an interview mentioned that this is Tamannah’s best performance so far. Technically as well, the trailer looked great. The visuals look rich and the background score by Bharatt- Saurabh added to the grandeur of the trailer.
Big relief to theatre owners by AP govt.
AP government provided a big relief to theatre owners in the state. The government announced waivers and subventions to help the cinema industry. I&PR department issued a G.O providing further details.
The government has waived off the electricity charges for all the theatres including multiplexes for the months of April, May, and June 2020. It has also given an option of differing the payments by another six months from July to December.
Grants for 50% of the interest subvention for the loans availed by the cinema theatres for single screens have also been announced. This will amount to a maximum limit of 4.5% per annum. As per the order, “The maximum loan amount up to which interest subvention will be given is Rs10 lakh for ‘A’ and ‘B’ centers and Rs 5 lakh for ‘C’ centers. The interest subvention will be applicable for a period of one year after the moratorium period of six months. This package is not applicable to Multiplexes.”
The government took into cognizance the pleas of the film industry announced these measures causing big relief to theatre owners. Last year a representation from the Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce (TFCC) met the Chief Minister over the issue.
