Prabhas’ Adipurush to be shot entirely in studio

Prabhas’ Adipurush, the much awaited mythological adventure drama will be shot entirely in studio for now. The makers took this decision owing to growing Covid cases across the country.

The film’s shooting is going on in Mumbai and faced a stoppage in shoot earlier due to the second wave of Corona cases. As the 2nd wave of coronavirus hit Maharashtra massively, the state government decided to stop the shooting of all tv serials, reality shows, and movies. This order from the government impacted Prabhas’ Adipurush shoot as well.

Now the makers have decided to shoot the entire film behind closed doors with limited technicians. The shooting will be done using chroma and the background will be added later, said a source. VFX technicians from Hollywood have been roped in for the extensive visual effects that will be used in the film.

Prabhas will play Lord Ram, Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan will be seen as Lankesh. Kriti Sanon will be playing Sita’s role in this mythological adventure film. The film will be shot as a bilingual in Telugu and Hindi. It will be dubbed and released in other languages such as Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada and several foreign languages.

Allu Arjun tests Covid positive, isolates himself

Allu Arjun has become the latest Tollywood celebrity to test positive for Corona. The Icon Star took to social media to inform his fans and wrote, “I have isolated myself at home and have been following all the protocols. I request all my fans and well-wishers to not worry about me as I am doing fine.”

The Pushpa actor further informed that he has placed himself on home isolation. He further requested those in contact with him to get tested.

On the work front, the Icon Star is gearing up for his upcoming release Pushpa. He will be playing the role of a red sandal smuggler in this action thriller. Sukumar is directing this prestigious project and Devi Sri Prasad is scoring the music. Mythri Movie Makers are bankrolling this prestigious project. Fahadh Faasil and Rashmika Mandanna also star in this movie.

Nani pinning high hopes on SSR

With Tuck Jagadish now postponed, Natural Star Nani has now moved on to other projects. Tuck Jagadish, which was scheduled for a 23rd April release will now hit the screens once the Covid situation normalizes.

Now Nani is focussing on his next projects, Shyam Singha Roy and Ante Sundaraniki. He is reportedly shooting for both the movies simultaneously. A massive set has been erected in Kolkata for Shyam Singha Roy. It is reported that a whopping Rs 6.5 crores worth of set is being erected on 10 acres for the ongoing schedule. This is one of the costliest sets ever erected for a Telugu movie. This reincarnation theme based thriller also stars Sai Pallavi and Kirthi Shetty in key roles.

Meanwhile, Ante Sundaraniki directed by Vivek Athreya is also moving at a brisk pace. Mollywood Star Nazariya Nazim who will be making her Tollywood debut with this film recently joined the shoot of the film.

Nani’s last release, ‘V’ turned out to be a disaster despite heavy expectations. This is why he’s ensuring possible output comes from his upcoming projects.

Nayanthara joins Rajinikanth in Hyderabad

Actress Nayanthara landed in Hyderabad on Tuesday to shoot for an important schedule for her upcoming film Annaatthe. She will be co-starring with Super Star Rajinikanth who has been shooting in Hyderabad for the past few days.

Dressed in white shirt with blue distressed jeans, Nayanthara sported a casual look as she left for the shooting spot directly. The pictures of her arrival have gone viral on social media.

The film’s shoot is going on in Ramoji Film City and the unit has taken special permissions to carry out shoots at night. Hyderabad is currently under Night lockdown and apart from essential goods and services movements, nothing else is allowed.

Directed by Siruthai Siva, the film also stars Keerthy Suresh and Jagapathy Babu in key roles. Jagapathy Babu recently joined the film’s shoot and a few crucial scenes were shot on him.

Kalanithi Maran is producing the film under the banner of Sun Pictures. D Imman who recently won the National Award for best music director is composing the music.

F3 to move to a Sankranti release

Covid has forced another Tollywood movie to push its release to a later date. After Acharya, Love story, Tuck Jagadish & Viraata Parvam, now it’s the turn of Anil Ravipudi’s F3. The movie was scheduled for a release on August 27, however, with Covid playing a spoilsport, the makers felt its best to push it to a later date. The movie will now be releasing in Sankranti 2022. This movie now joins Mahesh Babu’s Sarkaru Vaari Paata and Pawan Kalyan’s Hari Hara Veera Mallu for Sankranti release

F3 is a sequel to the 2019 superhit F2 which starred Venkatesh, Tamannah, Varun Tej and Mehreen Pirzada in lead roles. The comedy-drama was a huge success leading to the makers immediately announcing a sequel.

Recently director Venkatesh had posted the pictures of resumption of a new schedule of shoot. However, within days the whole scenario has now changed. Anil Ravipudi also tested Covid positive on the sets of the movie leading to the cancellation of the shoot temporarily.

Vakeel Saab to release on Prime on this day

Power Star Pawan Kalyan’s Vakeel Saab released earlier this month to good reviews. The critics even declared this performance of Pawan Kalyan as one of the finest of his career. Power Star’s comeback to the big screen after 3 years was enough to generate massive hype for the movie. Such were the expectations on the film that it got great openings and occupancies.

Pushpa teaser is fastest in TFI to 50 million views

Allu Arjun starrer Pushpa is one of the most anticipated movies of the year. Ever since it was announced that Sukumar and Allu Arjun are going to collaborate yet again, expectations have skyrocketed from all quarters. The recently released Pushpa teaser has matched these expectations and has been well received by all. The teaser has packed some beautiful visuals, action sequences, and background score and turned out to be great success. Amidst all the great applause, the teaser has achieved another landmark. Pushpa teaser is now the fastest in TFI to 50 million views.

Mythri Movie Makers made an announcement of this feat on Twitter with a celebratory post. Interestingly, this achievement comes just one week after the RRR teaser became the first in TFI to achieve 50 million views.

Acharya postponed as Covid numbers mount!

Megastar Chiranjeevi’s much-awaited Acharya’s release is now officially postponed. The movie was earlier scheduled to release on 13th May. The new release date will now be announced at a later time, said an official announcement from the makers Konidela Productions.

The film’s shoot was recently canceled due to the rising Covid cases. Sonu Sood, who plays a key role in the movie also tested positive on the sets of this action drama. Around 30 days of shoot is still pending and the makers felt its best to wait out till the situation normalizes.

The makers reportedly are aiming for a release around August 2nd week. If this indeed happens, Acharya will be the first Tollywood biggie to release post Covid 2nd Wave.

Directed by Koratala Siva, the movie is being jointly produced by Matinee Entertainment and Konidela Production Company. The movie also stars Kajal Agarwal and in the lead role. Massive sets were erected in Marredumilli, Yellanadu, and Singareni Coal mines where the shoots were completed.

Comedy legend Brahmanandam will soon be seen in an interesting character in an upcoming movie Pelli SandaD. The movie will be directed by veteran director K Raghavendra Rao and will star Srikanth’s son Roshan. Incidentally, it was Srikanth who played the lead role in the original Pelli Sandadi again directed by K Raghavendra Rao in 1996.

Meanwhile, Brahmanandam, who was last seen in a judge character in Jathi Ratnalu will be playing an interesting role in Pelli SandaD. The role will be based on the ‘Buildup Babai’ the famous character of Getup Seenu from TV comedy show Jabardasth. The character received great applause for its uniqueness and outlandish behaviour. And now with Brahmanandam playing the same character, it will be interesting to see how it pans out.

Usually, some popular characters make their way to the Jabardasth stage from movies. But, for the first time, a reversal is happening. It is being reported that Brahmanandam’s role is going to be limited but impactful and he has already completed filming his portion. The film is also nearing its completion and a release date will be announced soon.
