Why Ravi Teja refused Vetrimaran’s offer?

Mass Maharaja is on a roll these days after the success of Krack. He has pinned a lot of hopes on the upcoming action-drama Khiladi which is currently under production. Post Khiladi, Ravi Teja will work with Tamil director Sarath Mandava who made Ko 2 in 2016.

This will not be the first time the ‘Krack’ star would be working with a Tamil director. He has earlier worked with Samuthrikani in Shambo Siva Shambo and Siruthai Siva in Daruvu.

However, it was recently revealed that Mass Maharaja had to say no to acclaimed Tamil director Vetrimaran in what could have been his first Tamil film. Vetri had offered Ravi Teja a key role in his 2018 blockbuster ‘Vada Chennai’. This Dhanush starrer film was offered to Ravi Teja where he was required to play the role of Rajan, the leader of Dhanush’s gang. Although the actor loved the story, he couldn’t play the role due to the dates issue.

This was revealed by Vetrimaran himself in a recent interview with cricketer R Ashwin on the latter’s YouTube channel. Malayalam actor Ameer later bagged this amazing character and was well appreciated by the audience as well as the critics. Interestingly Vijay Sethupathi was initially supposed to play the character that was later offered to Ravi Teja and eventually played by Ameer.

Family Man 2 trailer to be out on this day

Samantha will be making her digital debut with the Family Man 2. The second season of this spy thriller web series is going to be bigger and more intense this time around. Starring Manoj Bajpayee and Priyamani alongside Samantha, Family Man 2 trailer will be releasing on May 19. The official streaming date of the web series will also be revealed on the same day

Raj and DK, directors of the spy thriller web series recently shared a pic of the actress with them. The picture appears to be taken on set with the actress in her look from the show. The Family Man look of the actress has indeed surprised many.

There have been rumours that ‘Majili’ actress is playing the antagonist role in this season named Raji. Fans are eagerly waiting for the Family Man 2 trailer and the web series subsequently to know more about her role.

Although Samantha had hosted a talk show ‘Sam Jam’ for Aha, the season was short-lived due to lack of interest. Family Man 2 will be her debut web series and fans are eagerly waiting to catch a glimpse of her.

Srinivas Reddy to use Chiranjeevi’s title

Comedian turned hero Srinivas Reddy is starring in a multi-starrer Mugguru Monagallu. Abhilash Reddy is directing this comedy which also stars Kannada actor Deekshith Shetty and Vennela Ramarao. The makers of the film have released the first look of the film today.

Srinivas Reddy along with Deekshith and Vennela Ramarao are posing with their eyes, mouth and ears shut disclosing their hearing, visual and vocal impairment. The poster promises that Mugguru Monagallu is going to be a hilarious entertainer with a different concept.

Megastar Chiranjeevi’s 1994 film had the same title in which he played a triple role. The movie also starred Nagma, Ramya Krishna, and Roja in lead roles opposite Chiranjeevi

Achut Rama Rao is producing the film which has completed its entire shooting part. Suresh Bobbili is composing the music which will be bankrolled under Chitra Mandhir Studio.

Is the actress in real life somewhat like her on-screen avatar? “When (director) Kaashvi (Nair) narrated it to me and after she got to know me, she said Radha is Rakul! I am a little punctual about time and I have to do things right. I am a walking talking timetable and I could relate a lot with Radha. So, I do agree to that part,” Rakul said in a recent interview.

“Sardar Ka Grandson” is the story of Amreek played by Arjun Kapoor, who wants to fulfill the wish of his grandmother, essayed by Neena Gupta.

NTR speaks about moving to Hollywood

Jr NTR in an interview with a Hollywood-based portal spoke about his future plans and upcoming movies. The RRR star told the portal that he is open to accepting offers from Hollywood if there is an opportunity for a role of an Indian origin person.

“Why not? If there is an opportunity for an actor of Indian origin to be in world cinema then absolutely, it would be a great thing to do. India as a country had a lot of inhibition before but it is progressing now in terms of talent and films,” said NTR when asked about his opinion on acting in Hollywood

NTR was responding to a question about his upcoming projects when he spoke about his upcoming film with Koratala Siva and added that post that he’ll work with Prashanth Neel. The Young Tiger also mentioned that he is not a huge fan of the word pan- India and that it sounds absurd. He added that rather than a pan- India film, the movie with Koratala can be termed as the one that is traveling all over India.

The actor is currently in home isolation after testing positive for Covid. He recently updated his fans on his health through Twitter. He Tweeted that he is doing much better and will soon be back to normal.

RC15 to be further delayed

Ever since it was announced that RC15 is going to be in the combination of Ram Charan & Shankar, the expectations have gone sky-high. Multiple plotlines and theories have been floated about the movie. Some say that the Mega Power Star will be playing the role of a young and dynamic IAS officer fighting corruption. There is another set that believes that RC15 is going to be a re-adaptation of Shankar’s Mudhavalan (Oke Okkaddu).

We might have to wait for official word on the exact theme of Ram Charan & Shankar film. However, it is true that this film is going to be on anti-corruption theme. Ram Charan’s character is going to play an anti -corruption crusader in this social drama. This film is going to be unlike any of other Shankar films. Reportedly, heavy usage of VFX and costly sets that are a part of Shankar’s films will be missing in RC15.

This Ram Charan & Shankar film was originally scheduled to go on floors in July. However, with the recent legal troubles of Shankar, it might take some more time. Ram Charan is meanwhile busy with Acharya and RRR. He will start working on this film once he is free of all commitments.

It’s being reported that Lyca Productions wrote to the Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce, urging them to interfere in the matter.

“As Lyca is a member of the Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce (TFCC), they wrote asking us to interfere in Shankar’s matter and resolve the issue. Now, with this matter being sub judice, we are refraining from commenting further, ” said Mutyala Ramdas, Vice President, TFCC.

All eyes are now on Madras High Court and if it directs Shankar to complete Indian 2 first, then we have to wait till 2022 for RC15 to go on floors.

Cinema Bandi: Garnering applauses all over

Cinema Bandi released on Netflix on May 14th and has been well-received by the audience. The film’s endearing and humorous narrative has impressed one and all. The comedy-drama film is written and directed by debutant Praveen Kandregula, and produced by Raj Nidimoru and Krishna D.K.

The film is set in a remote village, which is far away from all the comforts of city life. The villagers live a simple life. Ganapathi (Sandeep Varanasi) who drives an auto for a living finds an expensive camera in his auto. What happens next and how the villagers join to shoot a movie has been shown beautifully in Cinema Bandi. The depiction of their lives, struggles, little moments of joy have been well captured by director Praveen.

The audience as well as industry insiders are all praise and showering their love and thanks for this comedy-drama. Wishes are pouring in with a number of Tollywood celebs congratulating the makers of Cinema Bandi. Samantha, who is making her Hindi web debut with Raj and DK’s The Family Man Season 2, also penned a heartfelt note after watching Cinema Bandi.

The director turned producer duo of Raj and DK recently released Samantha’s first look from Family Man 2 and said her performance will shock everyone. Her look is a totally de-glam one and unlike what we have ever seen before. This look has raised further expectations on the web series.

Family Man 2 is a continuation of its earlier season starring Manoj Bajpai and Priyamani in lead roles. Manoj plays the role of an NIA agent. Samantha is playing the antagonist role in this season named Raji. According to reports, the spy thriller will stream on Amazon Prime Video from June 11th.

Khiladi only in theatres say makers

Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja is getting ready with his upcoming release Khiladi. The action thriller was scheduled to release on May 28th. However, with Covid second wave canceling shoots along with director Ramesh Varma testing positive, the release will now be delayed further.

Meanwhile, with the theatres not looking like opening any time soon, Khiladi is now getting good offers from multiple OTTs. Amazon Prime Video has reportedly shown great interest and put forward a good deal for the film’s digital rights. Ravi Teja is back in form with Krack and the inside reports on Khiladi are also quite positive. This might be a reason for OTTs interest in Khiladi.

However, the makers have made it clear that they are looking only for a theatrical release. An OTT release is not on the mind of the makers. The team took to social media to announce the same on Sunday.

Ravi Teja will be seen in a dual role in this action thriller. The movie is produced jointly by Satyanarayana Koneru and Ramesh Varma under the banner of A Studios LLP. It stars Dimple Hayathi, Unni Mukundan, Arjun Sarja and Meenakshi Chaudhary in key roles.

Akhanda’s fight sequences to be bigger and better

Balakrishna’s Akhanda has generated massive hype owing to its roaring teaser. Balakrishna will be seen in a never-before avatar in the Akhanda. His screen presence and dialogue delivery in the teaser reminds us of his heydays where he totally used to dominate the films with a magnifying screen presence.

Boyapati, who is known to include massy action sequences in the movie is leaving no stone unturned for Akhanda. He has packed the story with solid action sequences which are going to be massive highlights of the movie.

A fight in the coal mines along with the action sequence featured in the second teaser are going to be special attractions of the movie. Adding to this, a water fight sequence is also being planned to take the movie to a greater level.

The movie is the third one in Balakrishna and Boyapati combination after the hugely successful Simha and Legend. Akhand will also star Pragya Jaiswal along with Balakrishna. Dwaraka Entertainments banner will be bankrolling this fantasy action drama. The movie was originally scheduled for a May 28 release but Covid played a spoilsport delaying major portions of filming.
