Direct OTT release for Ek Mini Katha

Amazon Prime Video has bagged the rights of Santosh Sobhan and Kavya Thapar-starrer Ek Mini Katha. Karthik Rapolu has directed this rom-com which was earlier set to release April 30. However, the recurrence of the coronavirus outbreak postponed the release date. Now, the movie will be released directly on the OTT platform on May 27th. Ek Mini Katha’s trailer will be releasing today at 12 PM.

Earlier the makers thought of waiting out till the situation becomes better. However, there have been reports that Amazon Prime Video has offered a decent deal to the movie rights which the makers couldn’t refuse.

“It’s true that the streaming rights of Ek Mini Katha have been sold to Amazon Prime. The film is all set to stream on the OTT platform from May end” said a film unit member to the media.

On March 11, the makers of the film unveiled the film’s teaser. Since then, the video has been trending on the internet, and it has garnered rave responses from both audiences as well as critics. ‘Ek Mini Katha’, produced by UV Concepts. Shraddha Das, Brahmaji, Sudharshan, Sapthagiri, Krishna Murali Posani, and Keshav Deepak also feature in the movie.

Chiranjeevi to start Oxygen Bank

Mega Star Chiranjeevi is a name that needs no introduction. Not just for his acting prowess, he is also known for his philanthropic activities. Over the past many decades, the Mega Star has been providing service to the needy through a number of charitable activities.

It was his mission for service that led to the establishment of Chiranjeevi blood bank back in 1998. Now on similar lines, he is going to start an oxygen bank. Chiranjeevi Charitable Trust today released a statement in which it announced the same. “In 1998, noticing the shortage of blood for the needy, Chiranjeevi set up the Blood Bank. Today, we are reeling under the shortage of Oxygen owing to Covid, and to tackle this situation, he is stepping up with an Oxygen Bank,” read the statement.

The Oxygen Bank will function on district levels and there are plans to take it across the districts. The works are in progress and the trust plans to make these banks operational in a weeks time.

In 2020, the Mega Star set up a Corona Crisis Charity (CCC) last year to take care of the emergency needs of all the cine workers. Additionally, he recently announced that all the cine workers of Tollywood will be administered free COVID vaccine.

The announcement carried the lines “The only soil that is worth remembering is the one soaked in blood!!”, this means the movie is going to be an out and out action entertainer. The duo have been in talks for the movie for quite some time.

Recently, NTR in an interview with a Hollywood-based portal said that his movie with Prashanth Neel is on and dispelled all the rumors of the movie being shelved. NTR was responding to a question about his upcoming projects when he spoke about his upcoming film with Koratala Siva and added that post that he’ll work with Prashanth Neel.

“Me and him did a previous film called Janatha Garage, which was a big blockbuster. We are getting back together post RRR, at this juncture we’re still working on the script, we have an idea. I’m looking forward to that one. And then I have a film with Prashanth Neel, the director of K.G.F., coming up,” said the RRR star.

Both Prashanth Neel and NTR have been extremely busy with their commitments for RRR and KGF 2. Adding to this, Neel is also working on Parabhas’ Salaar and NTR too will soon start with Koratala’s NTR30. In such a situation it appeared that the combo might take some time to materialize.

Icon Star Allu Arjun has once again proven his care and concern for his personal staff. The ‘Pushpa’ actor recently got all his staff and their families above the age of 45 vaccinated. Covid has taken a dangerous shape of late with the second wave impacting more people than ever. In such a situation getting vaccinated at the earliest is the best step to fight pandemic.

The actor personally supervised all the necessary arrangements for vaccination to ensure process is easy for his staff. Allu Arjun himself tested positive for Covid last month and recovered recently.

“Arjun has always looked after the well-being of his employees like his family, and has also gone a step ahead and ensured that the family members of his core team, who are aged above 45, are vaccinated,” said a source.

On the work front, Allu Arjun is currently working on Pushpa. The shoot of the film has been postponed due to Covid’s second wave. The movie will be made in two parts.

Pushpa will be releasing in 5 Indian languages simultaneously. Rashmika is the lead actress in the film and Anasuya will also be playing a key role in the movie. Nayanthara and boyfriend Vignesh Shivan received their first dose of Covid vaccination on Tuesday in Chennai. Vignesh took to his Instagram page to share the photos of him and Nayanthara getting vaccinated. “Please please get vaccinated. Stay safe, stay indoors,” he captioned them.

However, the photo led to a troll army descend on it and call out Nayanthara for just posing for the picture and not actually taking the jab. Many users pointed out that there was no syringe in the pic and that the nurse was just putting pressure on the actress’ shoulder.

Many netizens accused that the actress and her director boyfriend didn’t even get vaccinated and that it was just a photo op.

Nayanthara’s team released a statement trashing all the claims of the trolls and requested everyone to get vaccinated at the earliest. Her team pointed out that the actress did indeed get her vaccination jab.
