2021 has been one of, if not the best year for Telugu cinema in terms of reception and success at the box office. Many small and large-scale films have done exceedingly well. Jathi Ratnalu, Raja Raja Chora and then Akhanda, Pushpa-The Rise.
Telugu cinema was on track to have an even better year in 2022 with a massive lineup of films. The year was all set to start off with a bang with RRR and Radhe Shyam but due to the rise in COVID-19 cases in the country, all major films were postponed.
