Prabhas and Ram Charan promote Ek Mini Katha

Santosh Sobhan and Kavya Thapar-starrer Ek Mini Katha has generated the right buzz before its release. Karthik Rapolu has directed this rom-com which was earlier set to release April 30. However, the recurrence of the coronavirus outbreak postponed the release date. Now, the movie will be released directly on the OTT platform on May 27th.

The movie is produced by UV Concepts, a subdivision of UV Productions. Earlier, Prabhas took to social media wishing the team success. He reminisced working with Sobhan who directed the 2004 super hit Varsham and wished the late director’s son Santosh Sobhan of success.

After Prabhas, now Mega Power Star Ram Charan also posted the movie’s poster on social media and called it a unique and genuine attempt. He also shared the movie trailer link in his post.

On March 11, the makers of the film unveiled the film’s teaser. Since then, the video has been trending on the internet, and it has garnered rave responses from both audiences as well as critics. ‘Ek Mini Katha’, produced by UV Concepts. Shraddha Das, Brahmaji, Sudharshan, Sapthagiri, Krishna Murali Posani, and Keshav Deepak also feature in the movie.

Love Story’s Saranga Dariya has got everyone grooving and raving about Sai Pallavi’s dance. The peppy music and energetic performance by Sai Pallavi have captured the audience’s awe like never before. The song went viral moments after it was launched on 28th February and has been on a record-breaking spree ever since.

Saranga Dariya has now crossed 200 million views on YouTube. By doing so, it has become the third Sai Pallavi song to hit the double century mark. Love Story is directed by Sekhar Kammula. It also stars Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi in the lead roles. This is Sai Pallavi’s second collaboration with Kammulla after ‘Fida’. The film was initially scheduled to release in theatres on April 16, 2021. However, with the covid second wave causing disruptions, the movie will release at a later date now.

The ‘Fidaa’ actress will be next seen in Viraata Parvam and Shyam Singha Roy. Whil Rana starrer Viraata Parvam is also waiting for situation to cool down for release, Nani’s Shyam Singha Roy is in its shooting phase.

Police troubles for young Tollywood hero

Actor Nikhil has been quite busy of late with charitable works. Earlier this month the Tollywood actor had arranged much-required remedesivir after a fan requested for Nikhil’s help on Twitter. Similarly, he has also been providing food and financial assistance to a number of people during this lockdown.

The actor however faced troubles recently when he was stopped by police for not carrying e-pass. He was delivering important medicines from Uppal to KIMS Minister Road in Hyderabad.

“Was on the way to deliver Emergency Life saving Medicines from Uppal to Kims Minister road… Inspite of providing the Prescription and patient details.. was stopped and asked to Get an Epass. Tried 9 times but the sever is down… I thought medical emergencies were allowed!!!,” he tweeted.

Telangana state is currently under lockdown with movement being allowed only between 6 AM to 10 AM. An E-pass is required for any kind of travel within the state. The Tollywood young hero had reportedly made multiple attempts to secure e-pass but failed to secure it.

Kiran Korapati, the director Varun Tej’s upcoming sports drama Ghani recently spoke to the media and cleared the air around the movie. The movie’s shoot was more than half completed when the pandemic stuck and stopped the works abruptly.

There were rumors over the past few days that Kiran and Varun Tej had creative differences and Varun was not happy with the way Ghani was shaping up. It was also reported that as a result of this tiff, the film’s unit had to dismantle a boxing ring set that was specially constructed in a private studio.

“I wonder where these rumours come from. Especially during these times of crises, I wonder how people have time to plant such rumours,” said the director stating there was no truth in the news.

“Recently, Varun even watched the rushes of the film so far and was delighted with the way it has shaped up. He has been a pillar of support for the film,” added Kiran. He also stated that the set was just dismantled and not entirely taken apart as being told in media. The set was dismantled only to save the rents, explained the director.

Looks like troubles are not going to end soon for Raj and DK’s Amazon Prime Special Web Series Family Man2. With each passing day, the controversy over the yet to be released thriller is increasing.

The trailer of the web series was released earlier this week. While the trailer was appreciated by many, it also faced some harsh criticism.

Many Tamil users felt the series is showing the state in a bad light. Tamil Twitter users have been trending the hashtag #ShameonYouSamantha ‘#Familyman2_Against_Tamils’, and criticizing actress Samantha Akkineni for essaying the role of a Sri Lankan Tamil rebel named Raaji in the series. Users have taken offense to a scene which talks of a coalition between ‘ISI and rebels’.

Now the controversy has taken a bigger turn with Rajya Sabha MP, Vaiko writing a letter to Information and Broadcasting Minister Prakash Javedkar. The MP belonging to MDMK party wrote the letter seeking a ban on the soon to be released web series over it’s unfair depiction of Tamils and establishing links with ISI in the show.

The MP found the depiction of Samntha’s character in Family Man 2 as objectionable and offensive against the Tamil community. It now needs to be seen what step will the I&B Ministry take over Vaiko’s complaint

Sukumar comes up with Oxygen solutions for needy

Director Sukumar has taken up the initiative of providing oxygen to the needy in the current pandemic situation. He has decided to set up an oxygen plant in his hometown in Razole, AP. This will provide additional help to combat the shortage of oxygen for the Covid-19 patients.

With the present Covid second wave taking a deadly turn celebrities are stepping up to help the needy. Sukumar has decided to contribute Rs 40 lakhs towards building a DOCS80 Oxygen generator plant.

Sukumar had initially planned to supply oxygen cylinders and concentrators to needy patients. However, the director decided to contribute another Rs 15 lakhs to build an oxygen plant. The plan is of generating mass production of oxygen to meet the demand, said a source close to the director

Sukumar is currently busy with Pushpa currently.  The action drama is shaping up really well with some big names joining the movies’ cast. Covid second wave has caused multiple delays to this much-awaited movie. The movie is slated to release on August 13th but the makers might be now looking for a later date as the shoot has seen multiple delays.

He has worked with some of the biggest names in South India such as Rajinikanth, Ajith, Vijay and Pawan Kalyan. Now, as per the latest buzz, the ‘Master’ music director will be collaborating with Jr NTR for his upcoming NTR30.

Anirudh’s last couple of albums in Telugu, Jersey and Gangleader were well appreciated for their freshness and peppy tunes. This will be the first time the young music sensation will be working with Koratala Siva as well.

Director Koratala Siva has started pre-production works on much-awaited NTR30. Koratala is currently busy with Acharya which was scheduled to release last year and was postponed due to Covid. Now the movie has once again been postponed for a later date owing to Covid second wave. The makers are now aiming for an August release.

Meanwhile, Jr NTR is also busy with RRR right now and once the pandemic situation eases , he will join the sets to continue his portion for the period action drama. The RRR actor recently tested positive for Covid and has been under home quarantine for the past couple of weeks now.

The makers of NTR30 even announced that the movie will release on April 29, 2022. Kiara Advani will play the lead opposite NTR in this pan-India movie.
